@AbramVersion1 the MLG videos are not available in HD. We won't do a "Gears 3" only channel, but we will have Gears 3 videos available on this channel and our team channel. Episode #3 features HD quality which will be utilized on Gears 3 videos.
@gighere I believe Skyllus stated why, but the core idea of dealing with host still remains the same. That's what I would focus on during the video, not necessarily the gameplay. Simply realizing and relaying to your team that their should be an increased effort too ISO or neutralize the host.
@Skyllus Wait. How do they make some weapons register one way, and others a different way? I understand having hitscan and "delay" style weapons (DMR vs Rockets) but thhey both use client side. Seems like an overcomplicated way to do things IMHO.
@Chenstrapftw I think pub matches will be alright on the dedicated's, but I'm worried for private matches. Need to make a push for a spectator team so we can do our own dedicateds like UT3.
@arCtiCvBi when i played system link i never noticed a host. It seemed to me that everyone had great connection and nobody complained, but maybe thats why we lost that last tournament. I've only played system link with 4 players two tvs maybe it gets worse when u add more?
@ChEILoZ sorry but you are misinformed. Take it from someone that has played gears at MLG events as was posted in this video. That is at a live event on system link. Sadly There is host advantage.
@sammanu13 Yeah from what I was reading the range is really small though, basically requiring it to land right under their feet. We'll see how that goes.
@IIXcessive Really? I keep reading on Gamebattles about how the damage boosts actually made host even more ridiculous. On top of that you don't have top teams practicing and playing very tight like they did when the game was more active. GoW3 host will be a huge deal unless Epic makes some significant netcode changes.
@InfuZedShaDoWz I wanted to. The way I did the video though it would have taken me another hour or so just to import the full match and convert formats all to clip 10 seconds of footage lol

its not hard to verse host but your playing on the old fucking update so it doesn't matter on the new update off host can take out the host in a second

@arCtiCvBi No there is not host advantage on system link. Host advantage is caused by latency, and on system link there is no latency.

all you have to do now on tu6 is hard aim your ass off and you will down the host in 1 shot
@Chenstrapftw Gears switched to that already for some weapons. It's alright, but host is still ridiculous and will be no matter what really.
