- This 3x3 takes over 120 rockets to raid, with minimal upkeep. Perfect for solo, duo, trio, or even a small clan, this base exploits loot separation, bunkers, and a horse named Sunny to guarantee success in Rust.
It's magical but there's no way to compare a 3x3 pancake and an actual defendable base. Their goals aren't the same, the first one hopes that the offline raid team is gonna run out of rockets at some point, where the other is supposed to have defenders online who are supposed to stop the raiders.

Very true! I have to say that I would rather have a base that will survive and offline though. After 9,100 hours, I've only been online raided 8 times. 8 times in 7 years of playing lol. We're talking hundreds upon hundreds of bases.

@@BenjaminPlaysRust this is very true however if groups are looking to take over a sever it is likely to be onlined by anther large group an by your videos your base are very strong but if u were more lan 2-3 it would be annying to use your suicide bunkers as there would only be 1 bunker perperson so they are better for solo but i do agree that if you are playing solo or duo bunkers are very effective

I had a similar idea a while ago, with much less upkeep. 4 tiny bases, Each 1 layer of sheet metal honeycomb, with the core being sheet metal as well. Each one is a suicide bunker with drop boxes and around 3 garage doors, totaling around 480ish metal a day. 16 rocket raid per bunker comes to 64 rockets just for a total upkeep of 2kish metal frags max. Insanely cheap upkeep, as well as extremely high raid cost. 4 boxes of loot storage using salvaged shelves, as well as a bag and TC in each, and the 1 interior drop box, per bunker.

Separated loot rooms does not matter much if you are hiding a lot of boom. Once they get one loot room with boom they can use it for the other loot rooms.
Dont leave enough boom in a bunker for them to profit, if you have more boom make more bunkers, you can make a 2x1 pixel gap bunker on all 4 of your gate houses
i took your 2x2 version of this and built a triangle+low wall shooting floor on top which also contained some planters to make up for the online raid ease - best of both worlds (+heli spot in 3rd floor)
good design! just as always, singled out bunkers outside the main structure will always be ideal raid cost per upkeep.

Can you get on the horse in order to escape the bunker after retrieving loot? otherwise you'd have to transfer loot to the horse and suicide again to get out of the loot room? Seems annoying to have to rely on horses and suiciding when you are just trying to grab weapons or something to retrieve your body or defend the base. Wish there was some cool hidden entrance into the bunkers. Also what if you lose your horse and need to get loot out of the bunker... then you have to find or buy another horse before you can get to anything especially since if you get raided and they don't have enough rockets or don't find the bunkers then your only loot is locked in loot rooms you can't access anymore without the horse. Either way I will definitely be trying this base at some point.
The idea is to transfer 90% of your loot once per day into the bunkers, so you don't have to keep going in and out. Keep enough supplies and guns in the main area to play the game!
Loved the symmetry! Definitely put some saddlebags on those horses to ease the transfer :P

This base is a great example of bunker raid cost. But if I can suggest something I would have the 3x3 honey comb attached to external tcs which allows you to use triangle roofs to open the bunkers also bringing your main tc upkeep cost go way down allowing for another entire floor/ shooting floor and more room to grow more crops (berries) for teas.

hopefully the rockets and c4 aren't in the first room they blow into lol. i wonder how much it would cost to raid without going through the doors. i would look at the base from the outside and realize there are 4 separate areas of loot. overall i like the base.
You can separate them across all rooms - force them to use 120 rockets if they want all your boom
Thank you! I raided it through the side, and through the top, the minimum route is still 110+.
One base I raided had every box but 1 locked. The unlocked box had satchels.

Like someone else said the bases are for different purposes (offline and online defense) because even tho clan bases are cheaper to raid offline they still are very expensive online if they are built correctly, for example i built for a 2x group and had a pretty good design and we defended a 1000 rocket raid two wipes in a row with the design

I know it's coming soon lmao. Fortunately, loot separation can never be stopped. Using drop boxes or collapsing bunkers will still yield similar results, only that the enemy knows they exist.

If you added a few floors, a lil more mobility in the base and a wide gap shooting floor this could be a rly hard base to online and a group would be able to upkeep it
Each base is built for a different purposes this base is for offlines but I can't defend it whereas the other clan base is built to be defended and more useful

Very true man. All these new huge bases are great for online raids. But nobody EVER online raids. So they are usually pointless. I do love all your bases. But i would like to see some kind of roof access or roof on it. Cuz if you do get onlined you dont wanna be trapped inside. Or if u wanna take heli

@@BenjaminPlaysRust thats true. I Build it every wipe, incorporated a shooting floor with widegap. Thats missing at this concept from your base, atleast for me. But i will give it a try on a Build Server :)
I like this video a lot but what I do not like is that you compared it to a clan base with peaks and large furnaces and externals which could have like 10people but this base is for like 3 I feel so I just didn’t think it was a good comparison because clans like defending bases and this base you basically let them raid you and hope they don’t get your hidden loot

I really love this base. I took your design and made some peeks and 4 floors. Its second wipe playing. First wipe we got offline raided 12 time. This wipe only once so far. Its a beast
at this point the whole server is coming after you 🤣
So only 12 c4 to get TC and seal the front.
Any group worth their salt will have externals to prevent replacing main TC!
only problem is that this base is def not mlrs rocket proof

i prefer the socket glitch rather than spening half my wipe on a bag timer lmao its just so unconventional but a good base just unconventional
i honestly hate this base, impossible to defend and extremely clunky, a double bunkered 2x2 would do the job
