To my taste, there are far too many places where the tempo grinds to a halt. Some conductors seem to think that doing this as often as possible will establish them as expressive and communicative conductors. This is the kind of thing that can kill classical music - "Let's all agree that slowing down is the way to find the most meaningful interpretation, and we'll pooh-pooh anyone who likes to keep things moving."
