Bob Saunders this ain't shit i went in the Perrysburg asylum in Perrysburg ,NY. it has been abandoned for decades and is suuuuper erie. my grand mother worked their and she said she seen some crazy shit patients throwing themselves from the 3rd story as well as nurses because of the traumatic things that happend their it was rumored they used electroshock therapy. hundreds of people died there poor souls. and you could feel every one of them in that place it was tense, uneasy and just erie. I found a dark redish brown hand print on the ceiling of a stairway on our way down which I presumed to be dried blood. really was an expirence I will never forget the main entrance to this place is about a mile long into the woods with old vintage lanterns that line the drive way deep in the woods. more people need to know about this place its really incredible to visit iv never felt the way I did when I drove up the entrance and just expirence the nostalgia

Those footsteps and moving furniture were clear as day at the end. I'm not a suspicious person, but that was certainly people. I'm not a superstitious person either. The idea of people being in there is so much more terrifying than any ghost.

These are the weird things I noticed that may or may not have been noted in the comments already (some I compared with the day visit a few months prior)...Night 1:52 / Day 3:32 landing of stairs - piece of stairs, artificial greenery missing since day shooting.
Night 2:04 / Day 5:56 room with round table - fabric on table in different position, pink container and chair missing and plastic or paper underneath in different position, fire extinguisher is moved (see night 2:52 for new location) since day shooting. New piece of paper (a love note to Dan perhaps?) on the table since day shooting.
Night 2:24 / Day 6:09 room with round table - new damage on door, handle and on door frame.
Night 4:57 - Dan, are you frigging nuts?! Turn that light back on!!!
Night 6:24 - “there the stairwell I didn’t know about” because in the day shooting 5:46 that door was closed.
(After this, I stopped comparing the day /night shootings frame by frame, I was too captivated by the voices and footsteps.)
Night 7:17 / 7: 20 - voices and a thud (respectively)
Night 9:11 - definite proof of thieves (copper pipes removed for scrap).
Night 11:11 / Day 7:45 Room 211 - door shut from day shooting
Night 20:36-20:45 - FOOTSTEPS!!!!!
Night 20:56 - something dragging / furniture moving / sliding on the floor
Night 20:58 - female voice (cannot comprehend)
Night 21:05 - crackling sound like the material on the floor that Dan had been walking on but could have been from it falling from the walls or ceiling
Night 21:18 - male voice, possibly “are you gonna go?” and continuing footsteps (some faint) until 22:03

1:26 / 0:59 : metal bar is there during the day, no longer there at night. door to left is slightly more open
3:33 / 1:53 : piece of railing leaning against the wall is gone in second video, artificial flower is there in first video and gone in second at head of stairs
3:55 / 1:56 : vase/pitcher/whatever is sitting on railing in second video, not there in first
5:56 / 2:03 : curtain has been ripped off window, cloth on table is in different position, bowl on ground is in slightly different direction, no stuff is in cardboard box, fire extinguisher, chair, and pink plastic kids toy are all gone in second video, along with a few other things that were scattered around the ground in the first video are now moved or gone. seems like someone was living specifically in this room.
6:09 / 2:26 : someone inside room was desperately trying to open door, seemingly pulled on door until the frame broke, and when that didnt work started hitting the doorknob with something to try and get the door to open. one of the scariest things in the whole video to me. i really wonder what the actual fuck happened in that room

7:01 / 5:47 : fence thing leaning on the wall to the left is gone in second video, wrapping paper that was along the wall in first video has also been moved in second

11:29 / 15:08 : its hard to tell because of different angles and we dont see much of this room in the second video, but ill try my best. blue chair is not there in the first video, bucket with blue lid has been moved far forward in second video, entire squatters nest has been re arranged in second video
11:57 / 18:14 : door is closed a little more in second video, blue lid thing that was in pile on the ground in first video is gone in the second, along with a bunch of other stuff on the ground is in slightly different places

They were. There was about a week between the daytime and nighttime visit and someone was 100% living there, and I don't have an article or anything but a commenter on his first video said there was a homeless man there that locals initially would feed but ultimately stopped and called the cops because he was getting increasingly aggressive towards children; the place is supposedly much cleaner now and its more boarded up. The man probably deadbolted a bunch of things after Dan's first visit.

I have been a patient in a mental hospital that was built in the early 1900's, It gives me the creeps because I know what a lot of those rooms are used for, gives me flash backs.
Edit: A lot of asylums/hospitals go abandoned and it is sad because as creepy as these places are they do help people and myself and a lot of friends I have met would agree, I would someday like to build a large non-profit mental hospital to people get the help they need.

So, story time for all of you. My brother was placed here as a child around 1990-1993 is my best guess. The picture of the black lady in the dress is a picture of a staff member. This place was closed in 1997. I can tell you that the only memory I have was the day we dropped my brother off to be admitted there. I remember crying and being terrified. I remember the brown wood on the stairs and I remember looking up those stairs and feeling the presence of evil. That stain glass ceiling was creepy even at like 4 or 5 years old. I wish I were making this shit up. We left my brother there. My brother refuses to tell me specifics but he remember having horrific nightmares, seeing demons dancing along the walls, and rampant child abuse. I'm glad it's shut down. Now I hope it burns down.

Part 1 The room at 6:12 or so -Notice the arrangement of the orange fabric on the table.. There is no paper on the table. In part 2 at 2:20 or so-the orange fabric is in a totally different arrangement and there is a piece of paper on the table.
In part 1, the window to the left has a white curtain hanging. In part 2 the curtain is on the ground by the fireplace.
In part 1, the fire extinguisher is standing up to the left of the fireplace. In part 2, it is laying on it's side on the right hand side of the room by the open box.
In part 1, there are very few ashes in the fireplace. In part 2, there are many more ashes in the fireplace.

@ 6:40 I believe you are looking at an "ash dump" in the floor of the fireplace. It is where one can shovel fireplace ashes down to the bottom of the chimney in the cellar. A little door is there and you can clean them out, safely, and not with the mess of doing it upstairs in the living space. Lost art of hand built fireplace/chimney construction.

This is one of the craziest and most intense places I've seen, Dan! The isolation room, locked. Multiple doors locked and without knobs, freaky! Makes one wonder if a body is stashed in there somewhere. And the laundry room - egad! The pictures of the people...who were they? Was it employees' family photos? Or who? The whole thing is one giant creepfest. Glad I didn't wait until dark to watch this one!!

Top notch - among the best of Dan Bell vids. The intensely nervous feel mixed with the splendor of that building. It's an incredible atmosphere that makes you feel like you're there doing it yourself. I never get bored of seeing this interesting building.

Exactly! I mean, I am pretty interested in urban exploration myself (never done it though) but I would never go there at night! I want to see the structures and not get any extra thrill or something like that. Also I would take 2-3 people with me I guess, just to be safe. And that's coming from a guy who lives in a pretty safe country lol. About the video, I also noticed that some stuff was moved besides the doors being closed, that's pretty creepy. Dan really shows a lot of courage doing this stuff.
angryram yeah man he has balls,I'm into urban exploration but at night allways go with people or take a hefty dog etc etc.You never know who's lurking in the dark and living in those places their probs gunna be more freaked out than you and most likely attack out of being scared or high.You would need to be high just to sleep in that place lol,I know a few whiskeys in me is best before doing this kinda thing

I’ve been coming back to this video since the day it was posted. This is haunting. The song from ‘Cats’ in the beginning… everything about the editing. But the content itself is TERRIFYING. I know the whole story about it being a homeless mentally I’ll man named Elvin whose sister was institutionalized there and all that. But nothing about knowing that changes how absolutely bone chillingly terrifying this video is. The probably 100th time I watched it I wore HD headphones for the first time watching it and it is on a whole other level of scary. Scariest video in the internet. Bravest urbex man ever. The homeless guy was doing some really scary stuff and that to me makes it 100x scarier than ghosts. This is THE BEST spooky video on TH-cam.

I haven't been so scared watching a video in a long time. I think what is so scary is this is real and Dan had no idea what was behind those doors. Awesome video really got my heart racing!
This place is without a doubt the scariest location Dan has explored. Firstly, it's obvious there are squatters there, but second, it is such a maze of a building that there could be something lurking around every corner. It just goes on and on, door after door after door. The layout is bizarre and the entire place just gives off bad vibes.

I have been coming back to these Asylum videos for years and I have to say this place is absolutely awful. I do not see any magic in it. Forget architecture or lead windows…all my mind takes in is this godawful dread.

The house seems so huge with so many weird places and rooms and corridors, I can definitely hear muffled sounds of multiple people talking and then someone stepping on something in a room next to you and NOTHING…I mean how do they stay there without any light?
I just watched a LIVE stream footage Dan did with two other urban explorers when they discovered two dead cats with fake flowers arranged around them and that made my fear even worse.
I have a question about that one room with red smears all over the floor - what in a heck was that? Looked like blood stains - old ones and some fresh ones too. And in the middle of it was the lack of diapers - can I just say I would die right there if I saw that? Was that the room with a secret entrance into the wall space?
I for one felt a relief hearing this building is gone now. Something was seriously wrong with that place.

Anyone else's throat tighten up while watching this? Every time he's loud with walking or opening the door makes me feel really uneasy. I wouldn't want whatever is moving around in house to hear me. Out of all his videos I've watched for some reason this place freaks me out the most.

This is a magnificent home, buried beneath the sad remnants of the institution it eventually became. It would be nice if someone would have all the institutional detritus removed, the paint stripped from the wood paneling and the house returned to its former glory. It'd be a very cool place to live and to grow up in!
