  • 'Chin Track Days' hosts an awesome event at Sebring International Raceway. We had excellent temps in the high 60's both days with a slight breeze making for perfect racing conditions.
Perfect Racing conditions can provide opportunities for record breaking blister laps. My good friend and TL team mate Dave was so kind to allow me to bolt up the 'Goodyear Eagle F1' tires in order to feel them out and compare them vs a 200tw compounds. Such a communicative compound for an R comp like tire.
With the good sometimes comes the bad... Unfortunately I had a front row seat to not one but two serious accidents that totaled two incredible Japanese sports cars out at Sebring this weekend. Both drivers collided with the walls at high speeds but were able to walk away unscathed from what I was told. The team at Chin did an incredible job at responding to the calls. Also very big shoutout to the emergency teams trackside at Sebring.
(Video intent: This video's intent is NOT to expose any drivers or to dissect their driving abilities. We all understand we take the big risk when strapping in behind the wheel of a race car and things happen in racing. Stay alert, stay hydrated and focused.)

The NSX driver is VERY experienced. I know him and saw that car take heavy fire damage less than a year ago when i was at Daytona. Car is being rebuilt now and was supercharged.

Heartbreaking. 2 of my favorites. Spectator tracks (i.e., walls) are unforgiving.

@@nicholasdugdale nooooooo! Well, at least the car died on the track, more fitting than being t-boned on the street or something.

@@nicholasdugdale did something go wrong with that nsx? Looked like he went off track on purpose. Then he lost it getting back on. Like he was accelerating hard back into the track.

    That's one bumpy track.

Part of it used to be an old runway. This track sure does test the tightness of the nuts and bolts. Lol.
