Too many people wanted a Chester copy. That would have been really weird. Imagine losing your best friend and people ask you to try and replicate them. Would have been horrible. The main reason I think she’s getting hate is that outside of music she’s pretty… not great. Scientology, support for Danny Masterson, etc. I’m willing to separate the two since it’s not as though that’s in the music, but I understand why people take issue with it.
I love that she isn’t Chester. She is herself and she’s awesome. Finding someone who sounded exactly like him would have seemed more like them trying to replace him rather than this which is them continuing on doing what they love.

If they can quit trying replicate Chester's style of vocals then there's definitely some potential with the new singer, but the reality is if she tries to perform their old tracks it will just sound like a poor cover band. I think it's important to play to your strengths..
