What a picturesque little town. Back in the late '70s, at the dawn of my working life, I had a lot of dealings by telephone and correspondence with certain organisations and officials there, but I never had occasion to visit. Never once been there in the decades since, either. Must rectify that. Nice vid, Martin.
I actually filmed this last year and it was a miserable day and with the ghost s but glad I went back and had another go with the drift 4 k . Had a bit of a walk round and is a very nice place and with Burghley house just outside town it is worth a visit . Glad you enjoyed it cheers mate
Watching it from South Africa ... lived there for a short period when my Hubby ran a pub there ... it’s a lot like Bath ... I loved every minute I spent there and the people of Stamford were so welcoming
Yes it is a nice little town . I have filmed a couple of churches and a few temples in Thailand later in the summer I will film the church that our family have a connection with . Cheers mate thanks for watching hope you have a good trip looking forward to the videos .
Treated myself to a new camera as I didn't like my old one when filming going through tree lined roads . Yes missing pound shops and a lot of charity shops and big issue sellers I bet they are gutted they don't live in Wisbech , Cheers mate
@@norfolkandgoodmotovlogs good choice with the camera, proper good and clear pictures. :-) you forgot to mention the foreigners shops lol ..it's the thin end of the wedge though because the deputy mayor (who runs three pubs) is a latvian!!! :-)
Actually we did have a pound stretcher open up on the high street a few years ago... But hardly anyone went in so it shut down after a few months! There is a single betting shop and some fried chicken places, but as modern high streets go... It isn't one :) Great video by the way!
I have been there in 2003 for a language training course. i was impressed by the charm of Stamford and its architecture. I am in love with it and i wish to live in one day
