Hey guys! Here’s a link to a video of this scene from an actual performance, with full orchestra and better video quality! th-cam.com/video/w7N0pCpZbto/w-d-xo.html
battousaiblade Thanks!! And trust me, a LOT of blood got on me- far more than it looks like from the distant shot :) we had to make it hit me on my left to protect my mic, which was on the right side of my face.
This was so great! Your voice is amazing, and I really loved how everyone had their own individual moments! The production I was in, we all just basically died at the same time once the gym explodes, but I really love what you guys did here! Awesome job!!
It looked fun to do , and forgot to say great voice ! im sure your busy but i also have to say i love the destruction song , i look up them so i can see how different productions do it. again sorry if your busy
You have an absolutely stellar voice. I saw this one close-up clip of you pro-shot, and your face is one of pure anguish and rage. LOVE IT. Chills every time. 💕
Rose White: (laughing) It missed me! Hey, I made a rewrite. I may laugh, I’m OK I did so hard to play their way Mama, you finally told me And god made Eve to bear the curse The curse of blood, the curse of blood His name is Tommy Ross, mama He’ll have me home by midnight An eagle’s just a Bald bird Until he can spread his wings (Open your heart, let Jesus in) I’ll make fun of you I will break your heart Then I’ll laugh at you watching you fall apart (Carrie, Carrie) Doesn’t anybody ever get it right? Doesn’t anybody think that I hear? Now I shall laugh some more instead. (laughing) (Prom Goers screaming) I love the sounds of Fire Alarms. (laughing)
Ok...I expected the neck cracking, the bone breaking. You know, the usual. But when I saw the 2 get hung, OH BOY!! THIS IS AMAZING! One of the few productions where the actors are hung, one of them had Billy be hung by the cord holding the bucket of blood and Chris was thrown against a wall. Found it: th-cam.com/video/OVRpLX96o_Q/w-d-xo.html
Rose Riley I never thought of that! And After watching this enough, it has seriously grown on me! Now I can explain how bad I wanted to see this production. You have an amazing talent!
That was a good massacre! I'm curious though, you say the blood is on your left on purpose to protect the mic. How did other productions manage to fully douse Carrie without compromising the mic?
Thank you!! So my guess is that productions in which Carrie was full-on drenched in liquid either a.) damaged some microphones or b.) could afford liquid-resistant mics. Could also be that our tech crew was being a bit overly-cautious, but if that’s the case I wouldn’t know for sure hahah!
I doubt you'll answer since this was so long ago but did you have multiple dresses (due to the blood) or was this one night? also a weird question but where the girls climbing in the back electrocuted? (i just like the details)
Amanda Sawyer Hi! Yes, I had 2 rehearsal dresses and then one for each performance! And I think the idea was that the girls were trying to climb out the windows but couldn’t get there, and just died with the explosion after I left. Thanks for your interest!
The people climbing the back wall was in the revival. Your director must have taken inspiration from it. You are 100 percent correct, but the people on the wall gives the audience a birds eye view of corpses lying on the stage if you know what I mean. You had excellent vocals and a very impressive production overall!
XvpandaX Thanks so much!! And that is a pretty cool theory, but our directors did tell people to try and get to the windows (I had to listen to all directions for this scene so I knew what everyone was doing so I could move around easily).
Rose Riley You probably are right. I might be overthinking it. Anyways, it is more visually appealing (or unappealing, in a good way,) to see something instead of uninteresting lumps on the floor. You had a very intelligent director who knew what they were doing

I liked this one two
Beautiful, powerful performance as Carrie. I love how strong and deliberate each movement is; order in the chaos surrounding you. Bravo!
@@Kelfsword16 thank you so much!!
besides the blood totally missing her it was very well acted and dramatic
battousaiblade Thanks!! And trust me, a LOT of blood got on me- far more than it looks like from the distant shot :) we had to make it hit me on my left to protect my mic, which was on the right side of my face.
oh that explains it!
good job tho!
battousaiblade Thank you!!
Rose Riley that makes sense
This was so great! Your voice is amazing, and I really loved how everyone had their own individual moments! The production I was in, we all just basically died at the same time once the gym explodes, but I really love what you guys did here! Awesome job!!

It looked fun to do , and forgot to say great voice ! im sure your busy but i also have to say i love the destruction song , i look up them so i can see how different productions do it. again sorry if your busy
Jared Porikos thanks!! And no worries!!

My favorite Carrie actresses are Keaton Whittaker, Linzi Hately, and of course Rose Riley.
thank you very much!!! :)
this is one of the most fantastic destructions I have ever seen. Carrie was killing it!!!
kelly aylor Thank you so much!!!
@@rosetaylor-riley7474 yes you KILLED it ;)
OML! This is my favorite destruction scene, it's just so amazing. I wanna be in theater really bad, and you are an idol for that.
aw thank you so much!!!
Headcanon: in the musical, Carrie mercy killed Tommy so that he wouldn’t have to die slowly and painfully.
Probably the best musical number performance I’ve seen ( thus far ) for this production. Wow
oh my goodness thank you so much!!! :)
The BEST destruction i've seen! Amazing version! ♥
thank you so much!!! :)
nice belt girl! you got it going for u!
christin smith Thank you so much!! :)
i like how this is based off of the 1976 Movie! just i wish the blood was thicker! but overall great destruction :)
now THIS is how you do the destruction.
Rose White: (laughing) It missed me! Hey, I made a rewrite.
I may laugh, I’m OK

I’m seriously need to see that blood hit better. This would’ve been in my top 5 destructions.
hi! production decided to have it rigged a bit to my left so as to protect the mic on my right. :)
Rose Riley I never thought of that! And After watching this enough, it has seriously grown on me! Now I can explain how bad I wanted to see this production. You have an amazing talent!
thank you so much!!

Alejandro Ontiveros thanks!!
Her pipes are more glorious than Molly Ranson's and as Same as Linzi Hateley.

This is good, but I've still not seen anything to beat the 2015 Southwark London production
the blood drop was horrible
