One would describe eminem as rap, what would one describe the "tomorrow night" part as? Im in love with it and need to find more or similar 😂 it may be the instrumental though, or maybe the instrumental is part of that style of song?
Those young folks did a hell of a job adapting this movie's songs for stage! The voices are all so spot-on! This is such a powerful song and all of its power was maintained in this performance! Bravo! Bravo!
I really like how they managed to adapt live the song which was made out of 4 songs actually (La Resistance, Blame Canada, Up There and the Troops song). In a movie, you can cut and arrange the sound paths but here you do it LIVE. Great job.
this just proved my point that a stage musical version of the movie would be LIT. even just this amateur fan production sounds incredible, they got some very talented folks
It's honestly kinda beautiful to see how much of an impact this movie had to see it turned into a college orchestra. I remember seeing this movie at my friends house as a kid. Not only was it my introduction to South Park, but it may have also kickstarted my love of musicals and music in general. Even back then I remember being particularly captivated by the music, not just because hearing cartoon characters swearing (for what was probably the first time) was funny, but because the songs were genuinely well written on top of being genuinely funny and thought-provoking at times, and this song is easily the best song in the movie. The way it effortlessly ties itself back into the previous plot signifigant songs without ever breaking the flow is honestly astounding. think even as a kid I subconsciously realised that this dumb cartoon movie where kids said fuck, actually had something really interesting to say about how quickly parents are willing to pin the blame of their children's shitty behaviour on a scapegoat like TV, violent movies, or pieces of music, instead of taking personal responsibility for putting them in front of the TV unsupervised in the first place. A message that is even more relevant nowadays. We have phones that give you constant access to the entire Internet in the palm of your hand, something I couldn't have even imagined back then. and the parents are STILL blaming apps websites or content creators for their kid's behaviour instead of actually paying any attention to what they're doing. It's amazing
That's awesome. I was actually at Berklee in 1999 when the film was released. And saw it with my school buddies while studying there while stoned. Never thought they'd actually perform this song after all these years.
The chick with the black sweater and green hat has me mesmerized at 0:40. Her facial expressions sell it so well! Also, even though fuck Gregory in the ear, THIS Gregory sung with some serious vigor! Seriously man this was such a good thing you did. I'm curious if Matt and Trey ever saw this and what they thought of it.
I understand it's a small cast on a small stage, but I just realized that Gregory in this was also the guy who said "get out of my way" in Mountain Town.
Nosmohtllib Idk They weren't very significant and not always noticeable. Just before the last "lives _ooon!_", Stan, Cartman, and Kyle say "Tomorrow we fight for La Resistance..." (I can't even hear it, but you can see them moving their mouths). As the song is closing, the soldiers say "Our lives will change. We'll be entertained. Tomorrow niiiight!" Meanwhile, MAC says "Just don't cry out, "Blame yourselves!"" before the last three "Blame Canada!"'s.
I still can't believe my ears on how good those guys are, i'm still wondering if they are part of the south park crew ??? Most of them are perfectly on point !!!!
i watch ALL of your videos from this play. omg you guys are AWESOME!!!!! i know you put a lot of effort into making this play, ya'll did a great job and i truly appreciate it. i will remember your work for the rest of my life. thank you for interpreting the movie so well and god bless you all.
Wow these reenactments done by schools/colleges tend to be kinda cringe but this is phenomenal. You can tell every one is giving their all and the result is amazing, like there isn't a bad performance here.
This is the most amazing amateur musical ive ever heard, seriously- I stopped playing Skyrim to come back and listen to this! (And I didnt even stop Skyrim when I had a stroke)
Comedy aside, this is genuinely such a good fucking song.
I know right: The music and everything makes it so amazing!
Homini Lupus I thought I was literally the only person who LOVES this song
YESYESYES
LITERALLY
Right? And it so masterfully brings back all the themes from before and still manages to build up to an awesome climax, pure genius.

How has Bigger, Longer, and Uncut not gotten a theatrical adaptation yet?
Ahem...
It's Bigger Longer and Uncut! ;D
Amen
it had and its bigger longer uncut
+That One Guy There are some amateur college productions. It's hard to adapt to the stage, and it doesn't have that many songs.
Man i'm so deeply impressed by "Gregory"'s range. Awesome.
I died when Terrance and Phillip started singing

Hey from 3 years ago, yes their lines are stuck in my head I can't stop reciting them !!
And I understand why

They nailed the "tomorrow night" part

F**kin' awesome. 10/10.
Movie best in the whole world can watch with your friends before you all get high and drunk

Those young folks did a hell of a job adapting this movie's songs for stage!
The voices are all so spot-on!
This is such a powerful song and all of its power was maintained in this performance! Bravo! Bravo!
They didn't adapt anything to stage though. They just sang the song
"Best musical ever?" asked my best friend. And immediately this came to mind. And he did say the same. Good job you guys, good job!
I think Sondheim said something similar
Ok this beats the shit out of les miserables, legit.
I know
ISN’T IT AWSOME
Les Miserables? Is that what inspired this song?
@@adamtain7627 Yes, this song is based on one day more.
I mean the singing is good, but there just isn't enough staging! I would LOVE to see this as a fully fledged musical
ExplodingPorridge Oh my god I agree
Just add a few more songs and some good writing we could have a hit or at least a sleeper hit.
I agree, I actaully made some small ideas of how this could be adapted to a theatrical version, like have a spotlight go on each group when they sing
I would pay way too much to see that
Holy crap that was amazing (I actually thought it was audio playing in the background xD) especially who ever sang as Sheila and Gregory
Holy crap this is crap
Holy crap this is crap

I like how Satan is representing Javert. It's so intricate and fitting being he's the antagonist in Les Mis.
They will wet themselves with blood
Well I mean it seems fitting as one of the characters in this movie is supposed to be based on a character from Les Mis
I really like how they managed to adapt live the song which was made out of 4 songs actually (La Resistance, Blame Canada, Up There and the Troops song). In a movie, you can cut and arrange the sound paths but here you do it LIVE. Great job.
Well evidently they didn't adapt anything lol
WHY CANT MY SCHOOL DO THIS BEAUTIFUL MASTERPIECE
Maybe becuase its a school and this is an inappropriate production for a school but i do feel ya
I've been watching this thing more than 50 times... Geeeeeeeeez
Only Fifty. Try harder.

I want a full version of what Gregory was singing rather than just a medley of the other songs. Too bad that never existed
