  • Buprenorphine is a semisynthetic thebaine derivative in the orvinol class. It's an opioid that's widely used for pain and opioid replacement.
    While it does provide recreational effects, users reliably prefer opioids like oxycodone and diacetylmorphine.

      I had a similar experience. My absolute best advice, is to only use suboxone/ subutex for exactly how long your opiate withdrawal is. For example, if I took my first dose on Monday, by the next Tuesday I would plan to quit the suboxone cold turkey. I had a homie on it who was using it for 2 years before he quit, and when he went cold turkey from I believe 16mg he said he withdrawled for a month and he talked to me around 40 days from quitting and he said he still had withdrawal effects, the first week he told me he couldn’t wipe his ass or take a shower because he was in so much pain. The doctors I saw made it seem like your most likely gonna be on it for life. That’s not the case, if you know for a fact you will probably relapsed, maybe just maybe it would be good long term, but if you have that mindset that you genuinely wanna get your shit straight, then I’d only use it until you know your opiate withdrawal is over, and no more then that. I would hate for anyone to be dependent on some bs medicine that would give you worse withdrawal then the drug you’re already using.

    I have absolute praise for this drug.
    Until 8 days ago - I was a heroin/pain killer addict.
    I was taking 18 30mg Codiene tablets a day and smoking between 2 and 4 bags of heroin when the Codiene supply run out.
    I didn't have a constant supply of either drug - so I would often go in to a horrible withdrawal.
    8 days ago - I saw my first nurse at rehab.
    I now have daily supervised doses.
    I am prescribed 12mg per day.
    This has been an absolute life saver for me.
    I no longer have to go through the hell of withdrawal and I have noticed that it helps greatly with my depression.
    I don't get high like Heroin - which I am happy about because I am not using up so much of my dopamine.
    I do get a comfortable sedation and that is highly effective in stopping me from having panic attacks and anxiety.
    The relief from depression elevates my mood which is helping me a lot.
    If they said that I have to take this for the rest of my life - I would.
    I have had more positive results from this drug than I have in all the years that I have been taking SSRI Antidepressants and using cannabis as a mood elevator.
    I also have arthritis and I no longer feel any aches or pains. As a result of that - I sleep much better and I can do normal daily activities without pain/lethargy getting in the way.
    The only thing I am angry about is that I listened to other heroin addicts when they told me that this drug is rubbish and not to take it.
    I have wasted 4 years of my life because of them idiots.
    So my advise is: Do not listen to other addicts who have negative feedback. Just because they have had a negative experience - it does not mean that you will.
    Go and see your doctor and follow his/her recommendations.
    I did and I am glad because thanks to my doctor - I am no longer a suffering patient.
    For all recovering heroin/pain killer addicts - I wish you well in your recovery and I wish you all the best.

      For the past two days - I have been having strong pain at the base of my spine.

      The pain is in the spine itself and either side of it where the muscle is.

Worst withdrawal you will ever have. Even if you think your fully sick and in wds...all it takes is a little bit of H,oxy,Morphine etc lingering to trigger hell on Earth.

I was forced to stop cold turkey which I would Never advise any addict to do. I went through sheer agony which insomnia still haunts me today. I had to go to a doctor to precribe me both tranquilizers and trazadone to help sleep. The withdrawl sympthoms were so vast and severe that I won't go into for it still seems to haunt me to no end.

    My favorite opioid by far. Can't confirm that it has less euphoria than its relatives; I prefer it over morphine & company any day of the week. No nodding, minimal sedation, long duration of action, no overdose risk and a great body high. Still addictive stuff, though.
    3mg without tolerance; I don't feel a difference between preparations with and without naloxone.

    • @funnyyellowdog8833

      @Blaze It Faggot 5mg is definitely too much without tolerance, at least for me. Taking a whole 8mg pill in that situation would probably result in 12 hours of vomiting.
      I get the maximum effects somewhere around 10mg. If my tolerance is too high to enjoy that amount, taking more won't do the trick either. That's why the drug can't be abused in the same way as full agonists.

    • @funnyyellowdog8833
      @funnyyellowdog8833 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Blaze It Faggot About H: I only smoked and snorted it, but it's not much different from Oxy. Which one you prefer is highly individual. I prefer poppy-pod tea over both of them, it just feels more rounded. Definitely a recommendation, and maybe even legal in your country.

    Been using it since 2008 except for one year when I choose to stop to see if I could live with my pain without help. I tapered off very, very, VERY slowly and had almost no withdrawal and i know WD's since in the past I went off over 300mg a day of morphine (other opiates at other times such as percocet) after a year of pain, I went back and have taken it since and never feel "dopey" drugged or like crap like on other opiates. By the way, it still hits the pain after 16mg maybe not the "high" but it does kill pain.

      This is what I thought, heard stories from ppl that withdrawal from opioids is hell & you never wanna go through it, but mostly they probably stopped taking abruptly or lowered dose very fast, and that's a no-go ofc! I'm taking quite a lot of kratom atm, for chronic pain, About 30-40grams a day and then tolerance goes up high too. I thought buprenorphine could help me cuz if you need only 1 dose daily u could have a stable use & still good pain-relief.

I would of taken like 2mg for the first 3 or 4 days of oxy withdrawal and quit this stuff right away. .. Withdrawals last like a month if not more for some people from sub. Oxy is like a week.. IF BUPRENORPHINE HCL BINDS TIGHTER THAN NALOXONE HCL TO Mu-RECEPTORS THEN WHY IS IT EVEN IN SUBOXONE?? IF u were to IV the bup would still bind tighter to the receptors than the nalax so the the naloxone is essentially INACTIVE, yes?

    • @TheDrugClassroom
      @TheDrugClassroom  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Although buprenorphine has a high affinity and even naloxone doesn't easily displace it, the naloxone given through non-medical routes still seems to offer some blocking effect to minimize the effects of buprenorphine. So far it doesn't seem to be entirely inactive, with one factor being receptor saturation. Just because one drug has a higher affinity doesn't mean there will always be an absence of binding of another drug.

    • @nicolasvera4891

    • @joonashannila8751
      @joonashannila8751 7 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      Also Subutex and Temgesic are both pure Buprenorphine and still they have slightly different effects also. Compared to Suboxone which has Naloxone, the effect is much "Clearer" and with Naloxone it causes a bit more Fuzzness or something like that. Vomiting and shit like that is only at the start of use. They disappear over time. Only problems shitting or pissing stay for longer time and for men you can't cum during sex. Usually it gets frustrating for fucking like 6 hours not being able to cum. Also the Detox and bad feelings start in couple days after last use. Not like other opioids which cause it MUCH faster and MUCH more intense. Here in Finland Buprenorphine and Amphetamine are THE MOST used drugs in whole country if we dont count Cannabis.

      Not dying because of a combination doesn't mean that combination is "safe." Many people take a variety of opioids with alcohol and don't die. It depends on the dose of the drugs involved. Opioids and alcohol are a problematic combination because it takes less of each than usual for issues to arise.

    What does this drug sound like?
    Me and 2 others took 1 "acid" tab. It was white on white blotter with no taste. We were feeling it within 30 minutes. It was extreme. The comeup was strong. Extreme body high. So intense that I was shaking violently uncontrollable. It felt extremely good. My heart rate was beating so fast I was convinced I could have a heart attack even though I stayed calm and controled my breathing. It felt like I was sober. I had 0 thoughts and could barely remember anything before taking the hit. My whole field of vision was covered in visuals. It looked dark and oily. Things would ripple and do weird stuff like flash away and look like cartoon/pixelated video games. It wasn't like I was tripping. It was like I was methed out since it felt so speedy and rushy, like I would imagine an amphetamine to be. It lasted 12 hours but I felt weird and still had visuals for over 48 hours. I think it was 25b-NBOMe.
