Same. The Horseshoe is reasonably priced for its location and it's just kind of cool. Love hanging at the pool. Other than the Mandalay Bay the best places are very close by. You even have an incredibly cheap dive bar right across the street on Flamingo. Good Italian joint nearby too. Win/win/win all around.
I think with the Horseshoe you can’t compare the service and amenities to other casinos. It’s a budget casino in a prime location. You would be paying way more if Caesar’s dropped money into making the many improvements it needs
I stayed at the Horseshoe in July. It took them 1 month to return my deposit. All these charges to check in but they take there time to return it. I was not happy about that. Why charge so much for a deposit? They have our credit card number. If we trash the hotel they can charge us. $100.00 a day is crazy. I could be spending that in the hotel. I wasn't impressed about the room. The furniture was old and the maid service was not that great. I would think twice about staying there again.
And that is one reason why they are rated 3.5 out of 5 stars on TripAdvisor. They can definitely make a few changes that would make staying there more enjoyable.
why would you really need maid service? just keep the room like you would at home. just stick the trash outside your door when you go out for the day. just reuse the towels, if you need extra just ask.

I love the Horseshoe, its my go to hotel in Vegas. I really love staying on the 26th floor in the resorts tower.

I stay there every time, only problem I ever have is everything is a 20 mile walk
The other casinos I mentioned that are in that general area aren't too bad of a walk, but The Strip is long and distances are longer than they appear.
