    Great video this helped me a lot! If you have the right color logo can you just keep it on and clear it after to embed it in?

    • @710performance
      @710performance  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can use high temp vinyl, powder coat the color you want the logo, gel it out, then put the logo on and powder coat the color the piece is going. Gel it out, then. pull the vinyl, then clear coat it and full cure it.

    Quick question how and where can I get custom logos to do my own ? FYI your channel has come a long way since early days and I have learned much from you !! Ty

    • @710performance
      @710performance  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's best to make your own with a plotter. You can purchase a plotter for as much as costs to buy 100 of these logos. If we would have known that we would have purchased a plotter instead, but this was a few years ago, we have a plotter now.

    Every time I do my illusion purple, I get orange pealing after clear coat. I've been doing small powder coating for 2 years, this is the only one I've had problems with, why would that happen??

    • @710performance
      @710performance  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      the powder could be too thick. the powder may have not flowed out quick enough. Or your system settings.

    about your logo, you cutted it in what material? High temp vinyl or high temp tape?

    • @710performance
      @710performance  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It’s dye cut from high temp tape, but you can use high temp vinyl and a plotter

      @@710performance I ve got a plotter but I will try high temp tape because the high temp vinyl is soooo expensive it s crazy.

    Great video the colour and the 710 performance logo look amazing. Great job. Keep up the good work.
    I have a quick question.
    When using an illusion powder do you have to use a special clear coat or can you use any clear coat ?

    • @710performance
      @710performance  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There is a special clear called Clear Vision that you will need to use.

    Why do you only put it in for 5 minutes on the first 2 coats

    • @710performance
      @710performance  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Just to gel it out. If you fully cure it the other colors will not adhere to it.

    • @DragginLineOutdoors

      @@710performance so then when applying multiple coats you should only stick in for a couple minutes then take it our and apply the next coat

      @@DragginLineOutdoors you’ve got to let the powder flow out, so you put it in at 400° for approximately 5-7 minutes or when the powder is complete flowed out (melted)

    So when doing multiple coats you have to only put it in for 5 to 7 minutes not until it’s fully cured and then put the other coat on top and then fully cure that and then put a clearcoat over and fully coat that I’m a little confused here

    • @710performance
      @710performance  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you’re applying multiple colors you partially cure everything until the last color (or clear) is done then you do one final cure. Here we did white then partial cure, then illusion purple, then partial cure, then clear vision, final cure based on the clear vision cure time and temp.
