i think the reason why this is a bug is mostly that the games think the player is aestri (judging from the survivor icon bug) thus its assume it needs aestri audio files but since its baermar thus causing an error and to play nothing.
Something like that, I think it does assume it needs Baermar sounds, but its looking in the Aestri folder. Which, probably relates to a bug back when Lisa was added to Cheryl, but sometimes would scream as Cheryl. When they seperated it back then, Lisa didnt always have sound either, they fixed that within a week.
Meanwhile I got the sweater day 1 because I genuinely enjoy Baermar but haven't used it yet, and now I feel like I shouldn't use it until this is fixed even though that had nothing to do with why I bought it. Kinda sucks.
@@Herman_Hedning you're braindead if you dont think that this is a serious issue. you get iron will calm spirit light footed and quick and quiet for free without the downsides. you make no noise while vaulting which is wayyy stronger than you think. You can slow vault windows and pallets without the killer knowing. you don't make breathing sounds which again is wayyy stronger than you think. Genuinely the most game breaking bug in the history of the game

Gamebreaking bug means that this is going to break the game in some way, the only bug that i’ve seen that was truly gamebreaking was when patch 8.0 came out and back then once a survivor fully repaired a gen 2 gens could randomly get fullly repaired as well, that’s what i would call a gamebreaking bug. You would have 4 gens get done by 40 seconds when you got your first down during that time.
as others have mentioned the auric cell cost is a matter of them being licensed characters, yeah. even if they weren't licensed, the sweater just came out - for non-licensed characters, every cosmetic is aurics only for the first month after its release to try and drum up sales. "Wait, but the seasonal cosmetics are only around for a month anyway, so won't the new holiday cosmetics go away until next year before you could even hope to buy them with shards? So if you want any of those new holiday cosmetics this year, you'd have to pay cells?" :) yea.

Ah, I saw this yesterday. I just assumed he had perks to make himself quiet, because I had no reason to think otherwise, and didn't bother checking the perks in the post game screen. I did think it was odd though that the name and icon were wrong.

Back when the cosmetic glitch was a thing, this exact same thing would happen if you had a legendary character’s body, but then changed the head piece to anything but the default. It likely has something to do with certain cosmetic pieces being linked to a certain character, and mixing them causing the voice to break.
I believe the head piece is what takes priority, because if you would mix James and cybil together, the character would be called “James” if you but cybil’s head on his body, and “cybil” in the opposite case. Oddly though, using Cheryl’s head on James’ body lead to the character being referred to as “James”, and if you used a non-default Cheryl head (except prestige) this would happen.

you're never able to get new cosmetics with shards, only with auric cells. They become available for shards after one month of being out. For seasonal cosmetics, they are available for shards once they come back around

Well you will never be able to buy Aestri’s/Baermar’s sweater for shards as they’re licensed, but forcing us to buy those for original characters for money is not cool.
Also plenty of voice lines don’t work consistently or at all, in lobby. Ex:Nic Cage, Alan Wake, Gabriel, Rebecca, Renato, etc. (Xbox One if wondering).

As for Cosmetics affecting audio, that has been a feature for years that many don't know about. Obviously you have the big examples that completely change audio that many know about, but there are many other examples that aren't commonly known about. Weapons that completely change attacking/swinging audio, pants that completely change walking audio, and certain heads that completely change a characters sounds. There are many examples of this, it's not commonly discussed. It's incredibly cool and a major aspect that draws me towards certain cosmetics.

Because the Cosmetic is mistakenly identified in the code as being a Aestri cosmetic (hence the Aestri Portrait) the game attempts to play Aestri Audio, but since the character is actually Baermar the game glitches and fails to call any audio. It's actually fairly interesting and a glitch that'd only happen for them since they are a unique case. Fortunately it's an extremely easy fix, if people genuinely purchase this Ugly Sweater purely because of this glitch then they'll be very disappointed when it's fixed within days. (Although if Behavior is on break currently for Christmas then it might not be fixed right away, unfortunately but understandably. It is a shame that this made it through the cracks and I'm curious how it happened)

What a weird coincidence that DbD started adding skins that are "accidentally" pay2win this year. First with the Huntress Skin, now with this sweater. What unfortunate coincidences...

I also had a weird bug happen, I bought the new chapter and my bloodweb kept resetting at level 1 (including bloodpoints) when I tried to level up taurie
Also the event offerings and points are bugged. Go ahead and try to farm points and build up the bone chill points pool and find you get nothing at the end of the round lol
So I just wanted buy sweater for Baemar and switch to survivor side for while...I think that I'm going to still buy it, but I'm not going to wear it till they fix this issue. I hope, they fix it before event ends. 😐
