Just wanted to point out that I did leave a lot out of this guide especially some of the basic concepts and what most of our spells do for the simple fact that I couldn't word the majority of stuff correctly, so I do apologize for that. If you wanting to learn more about anything even outside of this guide, please comment here and I will answer every question! You can also join my Discord if you want to do that as well. Thank you for watching and being on my little journey thus far, I'm really enjoying doing this :D Each season more or less will have a new guide, and I plan to get better and better at creating them. So for guide, please be patient with me as I know it's more on the bad side :)
hello, checked your channel today around 6am and subscribed to you on my way to work now I’m watching this video on my way back home and I just wanna thank you for this in depth Dev videos that you just do and I’ll def keep myself around your content!!!!
Im curious why you dont clip your mass disintegrates. Especially with 3 targets, it seems to keep mass disintegrating with the clipped casts. Im sure im missing something
@@kodiakdabear When you clip a mass disintegrate, only the animation continues, not the extra damage. Mass disintegrate doesn’t follow the same rules as the normal disintegrate where you can bring damage ticks over into the next cast. Once you clip the first one into the second, you lose those remaining mass disintegrate ticks. After that, it just turns into a normal disintegrate.
Hey man great guide! I've got a couple of questions, tho. So in AOE, do you only use one tick of Fire breath as well as eternity surge or do you fully channel it? Also., INn single target do you Deep breath... the boss, for example?
If you are using dragonrage on a pack of enemies, you always want to use Rank 1 for all empowers so you can have as much uptime as possible on using your essence spenders. Outside of it, I would only ever fully empower Fire Breath if enemies are close to dying, lets say 20% health remaining, or if an enemy needs to die asap. One cool trick you can do for an opener on a pack of enemies that you are heading to next is to fully empower fire breath on the pack you just killed, so that you can get as many living flames from Leaping Flames as possible, for a strong opener. For the Deep Breath question, you always want to use it regardless if it's in an AoE or Single Target scenario. Deep Breath for Scalecommander applies a buff to ourselves called Melt Armor, which increases the damage of our essence spenders and bombardments by 20% for 12 seconds. Doing this on a boss pull before dragonrage will allow you to buff your Mass Disintegrates by that 20%.
@@thylatv Thyla, wouldnt it be better to fully charge fire breath at the start of pack since they take more damage with higher health? Moving the damage to be more up front will be more damage overall? Right? Or does it not effect it that much? I prefer to never fully charge if I dont have to lol it takes forever
@@MUTV2 It all depends on the situation you are in. You can fully empower it if an enemy needs to die asap, or you can always cast it at rank 1 for the maximum amount of burnout procs. A good trick you can do is to fully empower it near the end of a pack before they die, so you have a free max stack of Leaping Flames for your opener into a new enemy pack. Overall, whatever level of empower you do, it will always do the same amount of damage. If you cast it at rank 1, the initial damage will be low, but the over time damage will be high. If you cast it at max level, the initial damage will be high, but the remaining over time damage will be very low. The only thing this would affect is how many times you are forced to hard cast living flame, which if doing so would be a dps loss.
I'm enjoying Dev Evoker a lot, but compared to some other classes I'm struggling in Delves. (specifically with selfheal/survival T7/8) Any of these builds you recommend for the Delve push?
I'll create a video about doing delves as dev evoker sometime today. For now, you can use this build; you might be using it already but just in case you aren't, it'll make things a lot easier www.wowhead.com/talent-calc/evoker/devastation/scalecommander/DAPFFBlEWRZhFREBEEBENVVBYUhVUVQVBUBREFVVUBB
Hey friend, I believe you are missing a core element in all the rotations namely the disintegrate cancle. Not doing it is quite a big dps loss overall!
Appreciate the guide. As much as Dev evoker is the black sheep of Evokers I'm looking forward to running some M+ keys.

Great summary. Thank you.
Thanks for the guide! Which weakaura package do you use for your UI? It looks great

I go over clipping and canceling in the last part of the video and in the description. Thanks though!
