1:08:35 The breathwork track at the end is just insane... I can't wait for more artists of a calibre of Jon to enter into breathwork soundtracks space!!
We saw Jon Hopkins live in Amsterdam a few years ago. It was a full on mechanical clanking techno set from start to finish. Throbbing, industrial and so intense. I've never known an artist with the ability to produce equal measures of deep reflective, meditative , emotive music at both ends of the spectrum. I wasn't sure wether he would be sat on stage with an acoustic piano, or stood behind synths and drum machines. I knew either way it would be a deep trip. I hope one day to experience the ambient psychedelic side of his work in a live setting. 💖😊
I RECIEVED A TH-cam BADGE SAYING I'M TOP 0.06% OF JON HOPKINS LISTENERS!! Thank you very much 😌😌😌 Ritual (evocation) is indeed quite possibly his greatest song. I used his Tayos Cave song in my last video. He's legitimately a treasure both as a human and producer. Have you guys seen his performance on that Seattle radio station? How is that even possible??? He's absurdly talented. This coming from a huge Aphex Twin, Autechre, and Boards of Canada fan.
Ritual is such an unbelievable MASTERPIECE which I had an profound experience with last year: Coming out of a deep psilocybin journey I felt drawn to vaping Changa while listening to Ritual at an intense volume level. Everything-literally every thing-disloved into nothingness, condensed to a single point of everything like I've never experienced before. When my room slowly started to re-assemble again, I became aware of the sound that pulsed out of my speakers like lava and the only thing I could do, was laughing in sheer joy and awe. I had NO IDEA whatsoever what was playing, which music I put on before and it took me some time to realize that it was the Ritual album on repeat. Man, that was quite some journey and if it wasn't enough that I already knew what a masterpiece it was - NOW I experienced the pure power of the Ritual - thank you so much for your wonderful music, Jon ✨💚🙏🏻💚✨
Thank you very much for the introduction to Jon and this incredible music. I love listening to it in my painting studio; it puts me in a creative state. It's inspirational!
On that creative-side convo towards the end, I def find taking 2 hours in the morning to sink into daily practices makes the 4 hours of creative time so much more productive. I feel like a time bender when I'm engaged in everything I want to be
We're at 31:45 and the idea of the shepherd tone is lingering still. I wanted to bring up Kitaro and especially the Tunhuang album from the 80"s. He uses this technique alot to extend this feeling of gentle building where you think you're at the crescendo, yet it keeps building still until an ecstasy builds naturally inside you. As though you're at Heaven's doorway and just being in this heightened state allows an infinite sense of wonder ...
Jon Hopkins is a guy who have similar impact on my spiritual path like Matias de Stefano. He is just using different tool to open some things whithin me :)
Transcendent. What a gift🙏🏼 If anyone would like to share recommendations for best medicine journey programs or retreats, or resources to find them, I’d value your suggestions
Brother u never disappoint I wonder what people will say 50 years from now. u and a few others are someone everyone should listen and incorporate it where u can.but I know nothing just a poor boy from West Virginia.
You should interview Max Christensen. He’s a Maha Siddha who’s a Lineage Holder of many Traditions: Tibetan Nyingma Karma Kagyu Black Hat Sect, Mao Shan, Ainnu of Japan, Wu Shamanism, Darkhad Mongolian Shamanism, and The School of Anubis of Egypt. His website is Primordial Alchemist he also teaches The Kunlun System. He’s also friends with JJ Hurtak and others. Max Christensen life story will boggle your mind and his attainments are high he even has attained The RETURNABLE Rainbow Body and Gold Dragon Body. His main disciple is also a Maha Siddha and The Head Abott of The Monastery in Kunlun.
Also, really love the music for psychedelic therapy album. We put it on as the first playlist for anyone going through the ketamine intravenous, psychiatrically guided treatments with us.
i don`t know, but i am referring to the absolutism in the title, which is exaggerating and somehow adapting a stupid social media narrative. i listened to the piece and its okay. a master of psychedelic jouney music is jonathan goldman.
Never heard of you before today Aubrey but I was disgusted to see that you promote buying and trading gold. You're all into ayahuasca, psychedelics, spirituality and healing but you don't know that GOLD MINING IS ONE OF THE CAUSES OF DEFORESTATION IN THE AMAZON RAINFOREST. Indigenous communities have been fighting this for a hundred years! Please come down to the real world. We need everybody.
Big fan of Jon Hopkins here and l oved the interview but the magic was gone when he started to promote gold collector cards his company. The interview for me immediately lost its credibility. Why, why is it always turning out to be about the money eventually….😢

What a beautiful conversation, thank you both for being so human ✨

Giving lots of time and energy to his strong belief of non-belief in something as simple and obvious as basic numerology.
