Re-Console is allowed if you are playing on 0.5.4 or above.
Legacy4J is also allowed.
Using either of these will break the UI significantly and break voting functionality, but you won't be banned

You can, but many features will break and the main menu server will be unusable.
If you want to just disable pack swapping and use vanilla textures, use /trigger maptextures
