Having worked for an airline, be super careful about doing this. They can’t stop you from doing this but by not making it to your final destination you risk them canceling return flights… make sure you let your airline know upon arrival on your first leg so they save your return flight.
You also risk that your flight gets reassigned to another connecting city. Maybe Vegas flight is delayed, and you get assigned to change planes in Denver. The airline isn't responsible for getting you to Vegas, when it was only your layover destination.
Also if there’s an emergency landing before the connection is reached they may land elsewhere and will make attempts to rebook everyone to the final destination not at the connection
Don’t forget they can ban you if you get caught that’s why you want to leave as little of a trail as possible aka don’t use the loyalty # and don’t check bags! Happy flying and stay safe y’all! ❤

Tell them you are in the bathroom with explosive diarrhea and was wondering if the flight could be delayed. They will tell you it already left and probably try to offer you a replacement flight, just fake like you're upset or annoyed, or be super polite, and say no thank you you will find another airline. One time I had an airline offer a reimbursement.
If I had explosive diarrhea I would tell another lie other than telling truth 🤣🤣🤣telling that with confidence is already should earn free flight as a prize

Did this last week. Paris to NY $175 plus an extra $75 for a checked bag. Just skipped the lag from Newark to Montreal and at Newark you always have to disembark so your luggage comes off the plane. Only happens at Newark for some reason. Works great.
How do you get back to your original destination? Once you do not board the return in Portland, you are a no show for all legs of you flight and the seats open up for people on standby. This one I hesitate to believe. If the plane crashes and the person is checked-in, they can be liable for fraud. This is when the federal gov gets involved and civil laws will not apply.

Not a good thing to do. The ticket you purchase is like a contract…the airline has a contract to get you to that destination on your ticket. If you get caught doing this the airline can make you buy a new TKT most likely full price since it will be “same day travel” or you can be refused to travel. Even with carry on bags a lot of times the overhead space is gone and you have to check your bag at the gate to ….your final destination. If your TKT is for another city and you are getting off at Vegas…you won’t have your bag. It will go to final destination and you will have to pay FedEx to get your bag to you because the baggage service people will see you skip-lagged.
Careful on using Skip lagged. The airlines hate this. I was an early adopter. The airlines have your credit card on file and will charge you more money after the fact even though you paid for the flight.
And while you’re getting in the flight they say “gimme your carry on there’s no more room inside the plane . You can pick it up at the carousel at your final destination” - had this happen at least my last three flights

You get free drinks while gambling... even just sitting at the penny slots... when you need a drink, just got sit at a machine and within a few minutes a nice skimpiily clad cocktail waitress will come for your drink order... anything you want ... free... well except for the tip of course!! Always tip your servers and bar tenders well! It's a harder job than most people know. Plus the better you tip, the better your service will be 😉 trust me... been in the service industry for going on 6 years now and make around $35/hr waiting tables.

You also run the risk that your layover gets reassigned to another city. That layover you thought you'd get in Vegas, could end up being in Chicago.

Once you land from abroad to the US, you always have to claim your bags and check in again through security for onward travels.
