    Got mine this week and it's incredible! 100% worth it, especially with such an affordable price for a folding bike! :) Definitely recommend it.

      Thanks for your comment - 👍 Yeah they are great fun aren't they. 😃 Its hard to explain to people just how good they are to ride. I am just uploading another video on ours for our first ride of 2021 and we have just recently been to Scarborough on ours again which I filmed and will upload that soon to 👍

    • @JohnonaBike
      @JohnonaBike  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I can only comment on the length we have done and the longest so far was 24 miles and for that distance it was very comfortable. You don't get a huge range of gears so if you are in a very hilly area you might find it hard work but saying that Katie and I have been up some steep hills with no problems 🙂

      To be honest it's been a while since I weighed myself but I am around the 12 and a half to 13 stone. The bike handles great. Its one of its best points. Really agile and great to ride even were there are lots of people about. BUY one you will not regret it 👍 Katie also loves it and she manages hill's really well on it.

      It depends on how long really. I have ridden over 20 miles on ours and that was on rough ground around a lake and it was very comfortable. We have rode around many places including towns and beaches and its always been a pleasure to ride

    Hi,Mr Jhon, can you tell me how lighter the folding bike? and also, would you feel tired while up-hilling. because I am MTB rider, and wants to use the tilt 120.

    • @JohnonaBike
      @JohnonaBike  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello - The Tilt 120 is not really light at 14.5 kg BUT the gearing is pretty good and the bike copes well with hills. My wife is not good on hills (she would tell you that herself) but she has surprised herself on being able to peddle up many hills on this bike. I would not use this bike for really big long hills but for small hills around town etc it will be fine

    Hi John!
    Have you had to do any repairs on the bikes? I’m looking to buy one soon (this or the 500). Reading some reviews, but there are very few … Some have had problems.
    Should one switch some bike parts to a better brand right away, or anything like that? You think I should I learn to fix my own bike because it will be so expensive taking it to a professional often?
    Thanks!

    • @JohnonaBike
      @JohnonaBike  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hello - No the bikes have been great. The only thing I have had is a puncture and that was easy to fix with the small tyres (did not even need a tyre lever to remove tyre) - I really cannot fault the Tilt 120 they are great fun to ride and so easy to transport. The one thing that has broke on mine is the tiny catch that holds the bike together when folded... a small part broke off but I can still fold the bike no problem so it causes no issues

    You can't get much less than 6 gears on a derailleur bike so each cog will be well spaced and there is no front derailleur so really should be perfectly indexed out of the box. I know freewheels can wobble if either the internal threading of the freewheel or external threading of the hub isn't perfectly machined but still such a simple drivetrain should be perfect out of the box in my opinion.
    Derailleurs on folding bikes are so close to the ground that they get dirty very easily and can get knocks and scrapes so shifting can get worse. Ideally hub gears make more sense on a folding bike.
    You could do a distance challenge on your road bike and then try your folding bike, I'd be interested to see the results. I.e. set a route for your road bike and see how far you can get in 1 hour and then see how far in comparison you get with the folding bike in 1 hour. Curious to know in real terms how much slower such a folding bike is. It's an idea anyway I don't think I've seen such a video on youtube.
    It will be good to see a few videos of the btwin occasionally.

    • @JohnonaBike
      @JohnonaBike  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      You are probably right about the gears there were OK out the box but I am terrible at "Oh I will just tinker a bit" probably in my head to be honest. I will keep in mind about the derailleur being close to the ground thanks for that I will keep an eye on it.
      The distance challenge is a good idea but maybe on my folding bike and mountain bike might be better as I could then go on the gravel track which I don't do on the road bike. One thing I did notice on the folding bike was how easy it was on hills. Katie is not strong on hills which is why she got an electric bike but she managed no problem to go up hills when we were at the coast. Hills were she would have used power on her electric bike.
      I will certainly post some more videos of us on the foldable bikes. Just need some decent weather to get out 😀

    • @JohnonaBike
      @JohnonaBike  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would think it would be OK for someone 5 feet tall. I have the seat quite high as it adjusts quite a bit but you are right the handlebars are set. But saying that I reach down to the handlebars and I am 5' 11" so might just reach straight ahead
