    Great show guys and Happy New Years. I think a lot of people were praising Harden when he was just going absolutely insane those 2-3 years. But it's his status in the playoffs that kind of dim the light on his regular season success. Luka is only 23 too, and he's literally almost averaging a 30-pt triple double in the playoffs efficiently. Luka's defense has also gotten much better, especially with steals. Luka has probably the best mid-range game in the league with footwork second to none. Some of the shots he makes are just ridiculous. Harden is a top-30 player all-time in my book. But I think Luka's ceiling is much higher. Like top-5 higher if he can get a legit second star like a Jaylen Brown.

    I totally agree with Joel with the whole Nets Celtics debate. Since Joel originally had the nets being a good team, it was mostly because KD and Kyrie. Kyrie wasn’t a part of that team when they were struggling bad and that’s when Joel basically was done with them. That basically means that we can’t watch them at the moment until they play better. So I understand how Joel feels about his nets prediction being a little different than Dehls who’s been shitting on them since last year. Also…Mike Brown should absolutely be a COY candidate. He’s turning the worst franchise around and they’re a top 5 seed. He implemented a warriors esque offense. This dude got Fox and Sabonis playing great defense lmaooo. Huerter looks like prime Klay Thompson. That deserves way more praise than a guy taking over a finals team. Dehls can literally take the Celtics to the conference finals with this roster. They’re elite. Will hardy has been fantastic as well.

    Lukas only 23, Harden didn't hit that stretch until later in his career, and plus they're playstyle is different. Harden relied on bullshit calls from the refs(after the rule change, it exposed his game and he had to become more of a passer than a scorer bc he couldn't get those numbers consistently without manipulating the refs) jacking up 3s to get his points. Lukas post game is way more polished, he doesn't have to shoot 3s and definitely doesn't get the love from refs when he's getting beat up in the lane like Harden did.

      i've never understood people who complain about free throws. he wouldn't be getting fouled that much if he could be stopped. and what is this shit ass take? luka and harden have basically the same playstyle. why are you acting like luka doesn't get calls. peak harden years if you removed both of their free throws harden is still leading him in points. and luka is a 74% free throw shooter. him and harden both get 10+ FT attempts a game it's not harden's fault luka is ass at shooting free throws.

      Talking about Luka vs Harder, I think Luka is better than Harden because he has the post-up + mid-range shots which Harden doesn't do that nearly as consistent as Luka. Harden's step-back 3 I think is better than Luka, but because Luka has that elite post-up game, he will be able to score more consistently against elite defense. Especially in the playoffs when everyone is game-planning you, Luka have a little more ways solves opponents' defense than Harden for me.

Cp3 played THE SAME AMOUNT OF GAMES that season as he did the season prior and Capela played 67 games. also I’m pretty sure “the players voting Harden mvp” was for the 2015 mvp that Steph won, not 2019 lol. @user-rm4yz2qn9v for one Luka legit foul baits all the time and if he doesn't get the call, he spends two possessions complaining to the refs about it, 2nd Harden actually made the players around him better and on/off numbers prove it, 3rd Harden played in a much tougher Western Conference and its not even close, 4th Harden only started declining after his injury which isn't even his fault. 5th Harden won the assist title way before the rule changes took placd bc he was always a gifted passer. And Harden was always carrying the Rockets, as soon as he got traded the Rockets consecutively Made the playoffs despite how tough the conference was, that's why he top 3 in MVP voting 5 times. Trey Hendrickson isn't out for the season he just played last week. A doctor determined there wasn't any further risk of injury by playing through his specific injury. If was just a matter of pain tolerance which is obviously going to be painful to play with a broken wrist. The Bengals have been extremely cautious with injuries given guys an extra week and sometimes 2 when they technically could've played. Although Hubbard practiced throughout this week it'll be interesting to see if and how many reps he gets if he plays. That's a critical player in this game considering how Lou Anaroumo likes to use him as a spy in his defense and his effectiveness doing so against a guy like Mahomes. Y'all do a great job, keep it up!

Like Luka for example is a generational talent but he hasnt completed enough in his career YET to be Era defining. Imagine if Luka ended his career today, is he an all time great? Did he define this era? What accolades did he achieve? I think those are the questions we need to ask ourselves about these players. There are a lot of all time greats but not every all time great defines an era. The nba is stacked with talent right now.

    Prime Harden is a better passer is kinda insane tbh. I understand the majority of foos aren’t Mavericks fans so don’t get to see every game.

    Luka fans, you can't have it both ways, you can't say Luka's team is ass he has no other players and then also look at his numbers glowingly. he gets those numbers because his teammates can't create offense. most Luka fans would agree Harden had a better supporting cast, and the fact that Harden had equal to better numbers with a "better team" just shows his peak is better than Luka is playing now. you can't have your cake and eat it too. if Harden was putting up better numbers with a better team, we can only assume he would be blowing Luka out of the water statistically with a worse team. and if Luka had a supporting cast as good as Harden's, he wouldn't be averaging what he's averaging right now. prime Harden clears imo.
    plus Harden's box plus minus, his on/off numbers are still way better than Luka's, so that puts it all into perspective. if Harden's supporting cast is better than Luka's then because his team is way worse with him off the floor compared to Luka, we can only say Harden elevates his team to greater heights than Luka does. or we can say Luka has a better supporting cast, which would support his case more, but Luka fans love to have their cake and eat it too. if two guys are putting up 30, 10, 10, but one of them has a 'way better' supporting cast, then who had the more productive game? the guy with the better team clearly, assuming he had a better team means we assume he had less opportunity to put up those same numbers to a guy with no help. so we can't compare their numbers straight up. if Luka 'had help' he's averaging like 28 and 9 on slightly worse effeciency, which is nowhere near prime Harden's production. and if Harden had a worse team, we can only assume he's putting up greater numbers than 36 points and 8 assists, which is insane to think about. Luka will have the better career but he's not better right now. prime Harden was a monster.

      Harden had a higher usage percentage with a better roster than Luka with his current ass roster. Harden literally had the ball more in his hands. Haha averaging 2 more field goal attempts as well. Luka is doing this at 23 and Harden fans are coming to attack him for no reason.

    • @aarondeatherage7678
      @aarondeatherage7678 ปีที่แล้ว

      Harden had a +5.5 on/off net rating in 2018-2019 and Luka is +9.2 this year. So I’m not sure where you’re pulling some of your statistics.

      @Aaron Deatherage Yeah because all y'all Lukasexuals do is make excuses to put Harden down and elevate Luka to a level that he's simply not on and y'all only care about stats instead of watching the games and actually putting context on how Luka and other players get their stats while watching a game y'all have become just like Bronsexuals you use stats out of context to make up weak arguments and boost up a player higher than another that's why Harden fans attack y'all because y'all are the ones who are biased and are attacking them with garbage ass takes and fake narratives to make them attack y'all and make them talk about Luka daily the way Jordan fans talk about LeBron daily if y'all Luka fans just STFU and never attacked Harden and his fans then his fanbase wouldn't attack y'all every day.

      @@liamm6208 you don’t even deserve a response. Lol no one is putting down Harden. Luka is the first player to put up a 60/20/10 game and Harden fans flock to attack the guy instead of celebrating it. But while you’re comparing, let me know what Harden was doing at 23. Haha 10 years from now this take will look ridiculous.

    • @barsbarsbarz
      @barsbarsbarz ปีที่แล้ว

      @@aarondeatherage7678 prime Harden had a higher expected win totals than Luka, higher efficiency differential, well higher BPM, higher offensive box plus minus, WS/48, higher AST%, etc. I don't understand why Luka gets bonus points for being 23. why does it matter? the question isn't who will have a better career, which is almost certainly going to be Luka, but is current Luka better than prime Harden? whether or not he's 23 is not relevant. plus '18 Harden's best 34 game streak he was putting up 41.1 PPG and 8.3 AST on 54% FG and TS% above 60%. if you wanna compare 34 games of Luka to 82 games or multiple years of Harden you're being biased, if you want to take these 34 games of Luka over peak Harden's 34 game streak because one of them is 23 and the other wasn't, you're being biased. I'm not a huge Harden or Luka fan but let's be honest prime Harden was better. if Luka didn't shoot free throws at a Jarrett Allen clip this might be a different convo.
