He genuinely just doesn't care, which is a massive problem when hiphop is about paying attention lmao. He's just zoning out 70% of the time. Kinda annoying to look at😭

I think at a certain point your brother is going to have to realize that music isn’t always about some deep meaning, but about, you know, sounding good.
I don’t know if you’ll read this, but if you are a fan of any other artist your brother doesn’t know you should definitely introduce him in this style. I really enjoy the short explanation plus song then reaction format. I don’t think there’s enough channels taking advantage of it and this could be a real gold mine for you.
A great channel like this is Turning the Tables. It’s a father son channel where the son shows his dad modern music and he’s a musician so he understands some of the stuff that goes into it. I’d start watching from the earlier reactions they’ve made because it shows it’s cool to see the evolution of the dad falling in love with modern music.
I don’t think this makes money. Money does provide you a huge incentive that’d help drive your content even if your initial motivation has died down a little.
I think the next album should be based on his personal taste. LR does cover some topics used in this album, but the sound is more expensive and classy imo. 808's is a lot more laid back in lyrics(which your friend might need) and sounds timeless. Yeezus is very industrial and simplistic while also sounding futuristic. TLOP covers many different styles and has good features. Ye just has some impossible-to-miss messages and great instrumentals as always. KSG is just a good, short, chill album to listen to with great vocals from Kid Cudi. I would personally pick Late Registration, because it's my favorite. Yeezus would be good because so far you've covered some introspective kanye songs, some pop influenced kanye songs, and some great lyrics. Yeezus would totally throw him off and basically show him every facet of kanye's personality and the type of music he makes. Im excited for the video next week. Sorry for the long ass comment💀
i think TLOP should be the next only due to the fact that it comprises of most variety songs of all the albums, it has the highest chance of converting him.

808s and heartbreak should be the last album since it’s a very pivotal moment in Kanye’s career taking place right after graduation finished up the trilogy. Not only that it inspired many many MANY artists to use auto tune and is an unbelievable dedication to his emotional moments due to the passing of his mom and his fiancé leaving him

Your videos gave me a whole new perspective on Kanye's music. So please continue as you are doing now and also make videos for the other albums. 🙏
Not one of the first hiphop albums to have a message but still a good point explaining what the album means, it’s just one of the first time someone has got there point across in such a way Kanye has, and the fact he was going against what hiphop was at the time
I sometimes just like when its chill asf and randomly they be talking abt random shi like how Kanye knows Talib or The workout interview at the end of NWOP
I think the next album you should do is “ye”. It’s short but is filled with some of Kanye’s best songs when it comes to writing and touches on some very deep topics. And it’s overall a fun listen.
Been loving your videos so far. I personally would recommend TLOP as the next album if he's looking for something more "edgy" yet also introspective at the same time. I think the lyrical themes Yeezus could get lost on him, as it delves more into the egosim without much balance, but TLOP has a good divide between the materialistic/sexual/egotistical desires, and the familial/religious responsibilities. I think Late Reg. would be too similar to TCD, in terms of eliciting reactions, and 808s, while one of my fav albums, is kinda focused with its moody beats, and there's not much surrounding it other than Heartbreak regarding his Ex Fiance and his mother. Ye and KSG could also work, but another comment also mentioned how KSG might be a bit "much" and some tracks from Ye could possibly rub off the wrong way imo for a first-time listening (eg. I Thought About Killing You or All Mine).
Great insight. At this point the only thing that will make him like kanye though are documentaries and video essays about kanye and the albums, because albums in their surface will not easily be crystal clear, all these humor, bars, punchlines and writing are going over his head which is vital..
he says multiple times he zones out so i think 808s will help him instead of hurting and i think TLOP should be last as its really like a mixture of all kanye albums combind
Fairplay to your brother for asking you to explain the song before listening. People do truly underestimate how difficult it is for non hip-hop listeners to keep up with lyrics and meanings when listening to them for the first time. Also seems everyone in the comment section just ignored the outro where he says what songs he likes and gives Kanye some props.
You and your brother are some of the funniest personalities I’ve ever seen and every time he says something questionable and you add the text it just makes it like 10 times funnier
I personally believe that if you wanted to play him another very introspective album you should go with Late Registration, but if you want to give him an album with beats and that plays to his “edgy” side you should play him Yeezus as it arguably has some of Kanye’s greatest beats and you can have a deeper look into the songs on the album
TLOP should be the next video because of the variety throughtout the album. Doing both ye and then KSG in one video could be cool additionally because both are short, but he may not like them as much especially since he just got into kanye. Also love TCD, imo best kanye album keep up the vids 🙏
Hands down my favorite Album of Kanyes, sure my favorite song is on mbdtf but God this album is just consistent bangers. Never has an Album ever made an interlude make me want more, Graduation day is amazing. I personally never like debut albums because they are so different from the current artist but Kanyes the College dropout is the perfect debut ever.
I think it would be really cool to throw him through a loop with the mindbending production of Yeezus. Plus, its a concept album with more yall can did into than something like TLOP
He didn't like Graduation or MBDTF....throwing him through a loop with "mindbending production" is out the window. 🫡 There has to be a foundation. There's no foundation here. Bro didn't bop his head once. Not even involuntarily 💀
Damn I was just watching the last video and this one already drops, love the content man keep it up. Also you're brother is so funny and nonchalant love your dynamic.
“What if family was abussive” bro just don’t care about the songs first he wants explanation for every song and when he gets it he is just looking for something to shit on
Could be a VERY dangerous gamble, but he might like Ye because of the themes of Kanye’s mental health and relationships. It’s only 7 songs, and it would be pretty risky to use, but it might pay off.
I love how in this one he is able to relate to the music. That is what is crazy about Yes music is that each of his albums can relate differently with people of different walks. I know for me MBDTF was the album that definitely allowed me to relate to Kanye because I was in a spot where I noticed my ego was getting in the way of my ambitions. Then TLOP kind of expanded on that notion. For JIK and Donda were the albums that to me were uplifting and help me come full circle with life finding my place in this life. Its not a perfect life but it is a story that I can call my own and somehow I was able to relate to his music. As much as Graduation and College drop out were inspirational to most they are not the albums that I relate but still I definitely like how you point out the introspective aspects of everyday life for regular people. Thats what music is and has always been a way to expand on the human experience.
YAAAAY I CANT BELIEVE YOU ACTUALLY DID IT The editing in the beginning of the video is great, and also great job on explaining all the lyrics and the song backgrounds. I like how I started to f*cking cry during never let me down and your brother just went :|

I'd recommend to play him the lyrics like you have them for us in this video. Having the ability to read the lyrics might help him to understand what the song is about and make it easier to pay attention to it.
Bro isn’t even giving it the possibility of a chance. With literally anything in life you gotta buy into it even just a LITTLE BIT or else nothing is gonna make sense. It’s clear he went into this adamant that he wasn’t gonna change his view no matter you showed him. Coulda shown this mf Picasso masterpiece and he’d be like “idk man are you sure he couldn’t just use regular shapes seems weird what’s that all about? :/“
I think Pablo should be next since goes with that more edgy side having some of his darkest songs like FML, Wolves, and Real Friends. It encapsulates a lot of his music styles too and himself with that fame or family aspect
Your firend seems to like the artistic, deep and meaningful Ye the most, more than rapping performance or even grand production. I have a feeling he'll like tracks like Ghost Town, Violent Crimes, Only One, FML, Come To Life
You’re awesome dude, I spent a good couple months showing my brother Kanye’s music after I fell in love with it, but mine didn’t seem to latch onto it like I did, it took a while but he actually listens to a lot of Kanye music now, nothing brought me more satisfaction than sharing ye’s music with him
Slow jamz is a homage to the 70s Slow Jam R&B music kanye and his generation were raised on also the back bone of his production especially during this era. Theyre name dropping RnB singers throught the song. Its not so much about romance as its about the influence of RnBmusic especially in Southside Chicago back in the day.
You should definitely make him listen to one of his best albums, Late Registration. The songs have great meanings, the production is great and it’s more easy to get into compared to stuff like Yeezus.
I love the college dropout it released 2 months before I was born , my mum and dad played Kanye's (and other rappers) music while doing chores I basically grew up listening to The college dropout and other Kanye albums.

But keep up the fire vids mane
Been watching this guy since the start - excited for the next vid! Album idea btw, what about “Late Registration”? Which would be the whole College Trilogy (kind of, since “Good Ass Job” wasn’t released) but don’t end the series without “808s & Heartbreak” please 🙏🏻
Pre reaction: The parts are going by quick love to see it and I feel like he’ll either like this album or not because it took a bit for it to grow on me Album recommendation: from here I think late registration is the only option Post reaction:
Small detailed i love is that kanye censored the word shit on through the wire right after saying he wont grow up to kinda make it more child friendly since he's still a grown ass kid (know school spirit is censored as well but that was to clear the sample from aretha Franklin, so different situation)

Been watching this guy since the start - excited for the next vid! Album idea btw, what about “Late Registration”? Which would be the whole College Trilogy (kind of, since “Good Ass Job” wasn’t released) but don’t end the series without “808s & Heartbreak” please 🙏🏻
Let's put together a playlist from his remaining albums for week 4!!!
Really enjoy the extra context per song and album. Doing a great job explaining!
Yeezus would be crazy!
your brother is so incredibly close-minded and intolerant 😭😭great video though
808s and heart breaks was the album that made me realize Kanye is the greatest artist of all time if that doesn’t work nothing will
dude i love these videos but i feel like he doesnt even care about trying to enjoy the music whatsoever
So happy you’re continuing this! Dude you gotta do Yeezus! I think he will hate it but his reaction will be priceless.
for your fourth attempt you should have him watch Jeen-Yuhs, it changed my life
Bro on the left was definitely momma's favourite. He's the Ricky and the hater one is Doughboy 😂
This man legit gives no fuck at all 😭
I want to see a Yeezus reaction so badly, I love that album to death and other people's first time hearing is always great.
imo if college dropout can't do it idk what can, bro's actively trying to hate it💀💀💀
this idea is just so interesting, underrated series.
bro looks like he being held hostage
I feel like if i started talking trash about taylor swift he would pop off on me.
Is he acoustic
Dude didn’t crack a smile and this album is one of the wittiest, funniest hip hop albums ever.
Is your brother high all the time, hes so doughy lol
Autistic
Pre reaction: The parts are going by quick love to see it and I feel like he’ll either like this album or not because it took a bit for it to grow on me
Album recommendation: from here I think late registration is the only option
Post reaction:
Bro I swear to god, ur homie has depression, help him please
Your videos are better than channels with 100K+ subscribers that I've seen. Keep it going man, I'll be here with my popcorn!
Like if you think Yezzus or 808s should be the next one
Would love to see his reactions to those
808's 💔
My Beautiful Dark and Twisted fantasy should be next most notably runaway
he already did that ep2
He might be acoustic
Small detailed i love is that kanye censored the word shit on through the wire right after saying he wont grow up to kinda make it more child friendly since he's still a grown ass kid
(know school spirit is censored as well but that was to clear the sample from aretha Franklin, so different situation)
Why does bro on right look like Stephen Hawking
It’s crazy I’m learning so much bout ye from this, this is really cool
Hes so uninterested in the music its hurting
Why does your brother not even pay attention or listen to the music. Only zones out and asks you to explain it after. Sounds like he doesn’t want to enjoy it.
