The monitoring nest is located in North Satakunta, and the weather has been washed since 2005. The couple's Ossi dog has a ring on the right foot. The ring was read from the camera's images v2017 and 2018, and according to the ringing data, the dog was born in Sarkamala, Karku in 2009. Alma female is ringless and has no information on her place of birth.

What would the outcome be if the adult Ospreys had come back to their nest whilst that was going on ?

Goshawk are small , but deadly as fuck.

I have found out that the female Osprey, the mother, disappeared right at the beginning of the attack. I fear she was killed by the Goshawk as well as her chicks.

Wow! I've never seen anything as fierce as this goshawk in all my years of watching raptor cams. Fiercer than a bald eagle.

Again, the parent/s should have gone all in and instead of just doing dive bombing fly-bys should have attacked it no matter what the outcome. The adults are larger than this Goshawk and should have been able to prevail. This is sad, but an excellent lesson on life for both birds and people.
According to a Finnish woman I know, a Polish nest was attacked and the parents were killed as well. Someone told me the fate of the female Osprey is unknown but Goshawks will kill and eat adult Ospreys as well as chicks. So, I don't know if your solution would have worked, anyway.
I believe the female adult Osprey died from attacks from the Goshawk. They are very powerful.

It was just back and took another body plus was dive bombed a lot by one or both parents.
@@Innuendoes At least we know it wasn't just "for sport". Of course, we know that anyway. I was wondering why the parents (one at least) only protested from on high, as far as we could see. This is going to be difficult to get over, I'll never forget one particular valiant face :'( I meant to say, don't worry about responding, you've had a difficult time.
@@scyllabub The Goshawk has just returned and taken another body, but not before being dive bombed a lot by at least one parent. I think just the mother. I have no idea where the father or male has been all this time. And I have just learned of an entire family including both parents plus the 3 chicks, taken by a Goshawk in Poland over night, there.
