    IM really late to the party on this one and im new to ls motors , when installing new lifters and trays do you need to measure any tolerences? or will the lifters be to spec already?

    Will the ls7 lifters be a direct replacement to my OEM LS3 liftersv

    Putting my motor back together was about to order but will do good with a 600lift and 111lsa 223/226 cam ? That’s what I have with PAC 1219 single beehive spring and 7.400 rods

      My setup is: Texas Speed 220R cam, polished dual valve springs kit, chromoly pushrods, ls7 lifters and trays, melling high pressure pump, Summit Racing dual roller timing, rockers, and Comp Cams trunnion bearing upgrade kit. Mine is doing pretty good.

    What are the little small holes on the sides of the lifters do those have to face a certain way? Doing my first rebuild

      Down For Mobbing I found out it didn’t matter which way they faced. I have an lq4 it’s on my page doing ls7 lifters btr stage 4 truck cam and ls6 .560 blue beehive springs is ls3 heads and a truck intake. Hoping for 400 whp bc I have a manual trans.

      If you have over 50k miles its recommended to replace them. As they wear there becomes more of a possibility to let a lifter turn and wreck your cam. You can buy them brand new from GM for about $40. The gm ls7 lifters are around $150. If you have the heads off I would just replace them both.

    Will the ls7 lifters and LS2 trays work on a 1998 LS1 z28 ?

    You didn't place the oil journals in the proper orientation.

    • @DownForMobbing

      LS7 lifters are machined in the middle to let oil move around the lifter when going through it's motion. In other words... it doesn't matter.

  • @jayjb833

    I mean they can go two way all oil holes one way or other way !!! Does it madder !

    • @DownForMobbing
      @DownForMobbing  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Because the machined collar in the middle the oil will travel around the lifter when in motion.
