    Yep , you'll get one two or three bad lifters out of 16... And you'll get one two or three bad roller rockers out of 16... Expect to go back down elbow deep twice... If you're lucky, it's a cross about every brand...

    I have a tick on my driver side that sounds very much like this. I have an all new valvetrain, minus the rocker arms. I’ve even tried three different sets of lifters so I’m starting to think it’s a rocker arm issue. I have factory LS3 rocker arms with CHE trunnions. Pretty much all of them have lateral movement when the valve is closed, which I though was normal, but my isolated tick is on cylinder 1. I think I’m gonna do BTR rockers with their V2 trunnion upgrade

    • @KidKevi

      @@KidKevi yep apparently so. I have gold glitter in my oil so obviously the brass trunnions are already wearing down. I’m pretty sure the BTR v2 kit is a needle bearing kit. I went with the encapsulated 8620 steel rocker arm upgrade. Many people have told me that CHE is the best. I wouldn’t worry about it man , the kit in the video is PRW and they are no longer available on summit , not sure about other places though.

    Can you jiggle the rockers to test for play in any engine position or do the valves need to be in a certain part of their cycle? I know when torqueing the rocker arms, the valve has to be down/seated before you torque the rocker arm, but wasn't sure if giving them a wiggle was the same way.

    • @KidKevi
      @KidKevi  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      A rocker will only wiggle at 0 lash , whenever you check pushrod length you go through this process man , always be sure to double check length in any engine build
