I was rushed to the hospital and told that emergency surgery was likely and that I might very well die that night. But I had an overwhelming feeling of peace come over me and I knew I was going to be ok; it was the strongest unspoken promise I have ever felt. And sure enough, I survived and recovered. There are lasting effects from that night, but I'm still here, still alive and able to think and function (well, more or less, some challenges,) 18 years later.
Was it an AVM? My dad had something similar happen with the blood vessel bursting and he had an enormous bleed. They also told him/us that people don't usually make it from these types of injuries. He survived and after a lot of therapy, he's also doing well, more or less. Glad you made through everything

I'm very impressed with your humility with the whole situation. You're not feeling sorry for yourself, granted, I'm sure you have hard days, and had extremely hard days in the past, but instead of complaining, you're saying "I'm lucky." To me, that's one of the most amazing things a person can say. God bless you brother.

Actually from the Rescue 911 fandom page someone who I believe lives in the area or knows where it took place stated the chase started at 401 lincoln avenue at the gas station there and went north in an alley behind the gas station. The episode was filmed at what is now a Rite aid down the road at chester pike and lincoln ave. William and his wife Julie lived at 320 Nassau Blvd right down the road.
