    India mourns the demise of a person, not a queen. Neither an old queen of an old colony nor the present Constitutional Head of a small nation that was built up on stolen and seized resources. Mrs. Elizabeth is no more, and India formally expresses its condolences. That apart, the event should mean nothing to the great nation and the most ancient and glorious civilisation in the world. What India looks forward to is not an apology from its past conqueror, but a self-reliance, self-sufficiency and self-esteem, the kind of which shall prevent its colonial history from repeating itself. For that, let us support our present government which is doing quite well. Maybe, this is not India's opinion, but it is at least an Indian's response.

    • @aanandvadera2165
      @aanandvadera2165 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Demise is a formal word for death. I've noticed thst Indian use of formal english language can be structured very differently to UK english. I note the Cambridge dictionary also states demise as meaning the death of a person.
      Interestingly linguists have found that much of the english language and its forebearer latin is derived from the root of all languages, sanskrit.
      Bharat mata ki jai.
