Great video, I have one question, I have a 2018 f150 with the electronic locking differential that the manual saids it requires 75W-85 synthetic hypoid gear lube, can I use Amsoil 75w-90? Am not so much worry about the difference between 75w85 and 75w90 am more worry about Amsoil having the friction modifier additives that I heard might not be good for electronic lokcking differential.
Friction modifier is already built into amsoil gear oil but if you need extra they have it in separate container. My 2013 f150 runs excellent with amsoil gear oil without additional friction modifier and I have electronic locking differential. www.amsoil.com/lookup/auto-and-light-truck/2018/ford-trucks/f150-pickup/5-0l-8-cyl-engine-code-5-5-flex/?volume=us-volume&zo=5257753

Amsoil is the only oil I use. Never had a lubrication issue... ever! In all my bikes. I've had a few in my life. I ran some very hard. I raced a couple. Amsoil is the top dog, in my opinion, nothing comes close.lucas is one of the worst I've ever used
I would say that AMSOIL is superior in every category except 1.. That being engine braking (for manual transmissions) lol The reason being engine braking is the inefficiency of the engine and drivetrain causing friction wich is slowing you down. Well with AMSOIL your engine and drivetrain will be much more efficient meaning less drag, and less engine braking. Wich is a great thing, it means better gas mileage, less heat on internal components, little to no wear on internal parts and so on. But you'll have to use up those brake pads a little more now. (: But you'll also have an increased top speed, and be able to travel at the same speeds as before 45-50mph with less throttle.
Great video as always. I just put in Amsoil 75w90 in my 4 runner. I remember using conventional Valovoline 80w90 back in 2005 in my Nissan Pathfinder. it had a strong heavy sulfur smell, and had dark greenish color to it. Amsoil is very clear and hardly smells of any sulfur. I wonder if they put any sulfur in there. I have read that GL5 gear oil has sulfur added to it to protect against extreme pressure. Also how often would you recommend changing then Amsoil 75w90. I think Amsoil recommends every 100k miles. Toyota does not even recommend changing it for “normal” driving condition. My opinion is based on real test results and I will give you few links as an example. Nothing outperforms Amsoil, no individual was able to prove opposite or any youtube videos, or any oil companies including Schaeffer is not opposing the truth. Schaeffer products are not garbage, but they are not the best they are average quality products. Schaeffer full synthetic oil is not even synthetic, its synthetic blend. Schaeffer’s oil, the majority of the base oil is a group III mineral with between 10%-25% PAO (group IV). Thats why it called full synthetic its made from synthetic base stock and none synthetic base stock, correct term for this oil synthetic blend, but oil companies use full synthetic term. I'm just about to change my diff oil on my 84 Chevy Blazer 4x4. Think I'm going to go with Valvoline but what weight of oil should I buy? One important thing, I'm moving to Colorado very soon, so I will be in cold conditions.
You need gear oil that flows easily and resistant to sheer with all the mountains.
Thank you. Good video. I'm using Amzoil 5w30 full synthetic
Excellent information, I'm looking to replace my 75w90 front and rear differential oil and considered either Amsoil or Motul
What do you have and year? Are you the person with thousands of followers on Instagram?
Changed my rear end fluid on 2006 sprinter van at around 70.000 miles with Amsoil 75w90 & Boy Shit Howdy I forgot about it until watching this TH-cam. I think I'm at 250.000. Maybe i should check . I use their EURO 5w40 in the Sprinter van 2016 VW golf & BMW 2011 x3 same oil for all 3 no complaints Started using Amsoil back in 1999 VW passat Back in 1999 hard to find 5w40 synthetic oil i used Amsoil & Redline HAPPY with both oils put 300.000 miles on car before trading in on Golf
You're right, Amsoil does make excellent lubrication products! Every type of test I've seen, Amsoil often comes out on top, if not the best one.
Great work, thanks for posting!
Thank you.
Hi there. What are your thoughts on Pennzoil 75w90 gear oil? No doubt, their engine oil is good, but I haven't seen anyone comment on the quality of their gear oil. Thanks
Pennzoil ultra platinum is good for sure. Pennzoil doesn’t have any test data on their gear oil and I prefer products that have test results

Pretty safe bet the tube labeled number 3 is Amsoil because it's almost clear in color.

Thank you as usual
Change intervals depends how is vehicle driven and used for what purpose
Sulfur is used to protect the gears so it's actually a good thing.
hi! here in brazil they sell WYNNS 75w90 gear oil, 100% synthetic, do you recommend?

What's your opinion on Amsoil vs Schaeffers? Engine oil, gear oil, transmission/transfer case
