Excellent and complete review/tutorial for this watch. I've had it for some time but haven't had a chance to go into details with the manual so this is very helpful, Casio should pay you for customer service :)

I need this. The lap counter is cool...I didn't realize that is how it worked...it will be perfect to help me keep track of my lap swimming (by having the second hand show the number of laps). I am considering this or the standard black/silver...have you had any issues with reading this watch in different lighting conditions? My biggest concern in the negative LCD display.

Can i display a 2nd time zone on the digital DT and show my local time on the analog hands at the same time. So 2 different times at once ?
I was STUCK on the DT mode when I set my watch to digital and 24hr mode. For instance, I wanted the hands to read 5:30Pm or 1730 hrs. When I completed the setting the watch kept going 2 hrs ahead to 1930 hrs. Finally at the end of your video I found that the DT had to be set back two hours so that my hands matched my digital time. STRANGE!!!

DT = Dual time. Not Digital Time.
Dual suppose to be different than home time.
Home Time is your local time shown in analog & digital.

Click Mode until you are on the REC screen, then hold down Adjust (top left button) for a few seconds to clear current REC, keep holding to clear all REC.

Can you set a different analogue time and digital... For example can I put my local time on digital and UTC on the analogue hand?
You can set a different time on the DT window (Dual Time). If you scroll through modes to DT, the small display will show DT allowing 2 times to be seen at one time. You can hold down the lower right button and it will switch the time from the digital DT time to the hands and the hands to to the digital DT time. Cool feature I use when traveling to have local and home time.
My local time is 8:54 PM currently but my hands are in 8:05 😩
Hand adjustment or 'H.Set', thats what you have to do. All will be good after.
This is nice but to bad there not solar/atomic I’m very partial to have these options
Antimatter This watch would be amazing with solar. Battery only is kind of sad.
my GA810B model seemed to be breaking heart as I always set time and other info such as date, etc. and while wearing it suddenly resets to original format which really annoys me as it mislead the time and again set it. Tried lots of instructional video.
That didn't sounds normal, you should send it back for repair if it is still under warranty. Looks to me like a circuit board issue.
How to turn alarm off
As a man who really know about these watches do you preffer GA-700 or GA-800?
I tend to favour GA-800 more than to a GA-700 recently.

I jusy bought GA800MMC. Black with rose gold. It so cool, yet elegant imo :) but, i still trying to max use the function. I want to ask, first time i can "auto" light this watch when it faced me. But after i try to adjust it, its gone :( now it cannot auto light when faced again
Make sure the autolight indicator is ON when you do it.

Yes. Press light button for about 3seconds to turn it on. An indicator will appear as well on the screen.
Is this Solar Atomic?
Nope unfortunately but Casio claims the battery could last 3 years. That is pretty good.

What is the issue?
I have the same exact watch and when I hold button 3(the light) for 3 seconds it doesn’t light up. I even tried holding it for 30 seconds and the auto light mode isn’t working. I checked my manual and I turned it to time keeping mode and it still didn’t work. Does this mean mine is fake? Or is there another problem

+ralph Arpaio The letter 'LT' will appear on the screen if the auto-light had been turn on. Also try checking the test screen for this model to see if the mechanism is still working or not.
1. Press 'adjust' + 'mode' + 'reset' all 3 at the same time while at time keeping.
'TLT' will appear on screen.
2. Don't press anything. Now tilt the watch up to test the auto light.
'TLT 88' will appear on screen.
Try few times, shake the watch if needed. Sometimes the bearing got stuck somehow, thus. autolight can't be turned on.
If it remains at 'TLT', you should get it fixed.
Original version should came with 1 year warranty. Free to get it fixed. If it is legit of course.
I used Mode to go to the digital clock screen. I held down Adjust button until I can change the time. I then click the Mode button to scroll through seconds, DST, 12H/24H, hours, minutes, year, month, day, BEEP On/Off, Light LT1/LT3 (1 second or 3 seconds). Click Adjust to exit. Click the light button at the center bottom. If the light does not turn on then you may have a faulty watch.

my second hand wont go to exactly to 12, it stops at minute 59, and the hour and minute hands stuck at showing 12.16. what should I do?

The digital panel reads _**_0:00_**_ (in 24 hr mode) indicating min & hr adjustment. The first adjustment is always for the secs. Again the digital panel reads SEC 00, enabling the second analog hand adjustment, if needed._*

That is called the ‘signal’. Located in the Alarm Mode.

Anyone use Gshock for nursing?
I hate Casio for their stupid 10 second alarms. I mean it's not enough and practical man. 10 second alarms and beeps can't wake you up or alert you. Alarm should sound for atleat 30 seconds and louder which are not in any casio watch. Timex did a great job in their digital watches. Their only one alarm can wake you up from a deep sleep or in a noisy environment and it sounds fantastic not traditional casios beep beep.
This is not even GA800 but GA835A-1A
