Dear prayer warriors, can you please pray for a situation that is going on with FedEx? There is a humanitarian shipment in Uganda that is being held up because of a customs form. Please pray that the company that shipped it will check all the right boxes and make sure it gets through the right channels, so this package can be released to the orphanage it’s intended for. There’s a deadline, Monday, the 23rd. If it’s not approved, they will send it back, and they won’t have the water purifier that’s so desperately needed there. Thank you so much! 🙏🏻
Working toward a functional medicine certification in health coaching. Basically getting our gut biome working optimally- leaving behind all processed foods, sugars & table salt, using real salt instead. And of course the Bible and podcasts like yours. Another area I’m praying about is how to get rid of trauma from the body.
I use cinnamon sticks. Boiled in water. Add turmeric, ginger & pepper. Also I add raw honey. This helps me rest. Meds or supplements do not help me. I did try a natural supplement created by a doctor. These is all the things Iisted. Thanks so much doctor. ❤
Rather than Benadryl, there’s an antihistamine (over the counter) that has the active ingredient “Doxylamine Succinate” which I find effective for sleep than the one used in Benadryl. I buy the Walmart brand or Costco brand. They are typically a blue pill. I will often take only 1/3 of a pill. Anything I’ve taken (otc or prescription) loses efficacy if taken might after night. I try to take them infrequently, though my sleep hasn’t been optimal since my children were young and had terrible sleep patterns which included night terrors. Before that, I slept beautifully. 😢
To answer your question, I recently switched my healthcare doctor. I now follow more naturopathic medical professionals. My physician is a naturopathic nurse practitioner! She has been very helpful this past year! There are a few doctors and websites I follow for information; yours being one of them!

One more perspective on sleep issues- I think that social isolation may also be contributing to sleep issues. God created us for community and where that is lacking, anxiety, rumination, fear etc. all grow. We need others to help provide correct perspective. I have found several doctors on utube who provide my medical information. I tried searching for wholistic or functional doctors but I haven’t persisted in my search. Keep up your good work!

I think the best thing to do is to ask the Lord to help first. Yes, come to me! I have trouble shutting off my brain at times. I think it’s partly stress and worry. I do use castor oil on the bottom of my feet and also essential oils, valerian and lavender. Also sleepy time tea. And I do find a half of banana before bed helps. I know we shouldn’t eat at that time, but when I’m desperate.😊
Honestly if that’s a health issue I pray and research on that issue. Also pray and listen to health professionals to a point. So many studies contradict what mai stream doctors say. Especially if it involves using natural oils or herbs.
I am 74. I don't take in caffeine. Only 1 prescription, tramadol for fibromyalgia. I take lots of supplements. I take 10 mg melatonin at bedtime. Valeria root causes restless leg syndrome in me. Which supplements cause sleep disturbance most. Listening to audio bible gives me comfort and then I can fall asleep. Sorry, I know you can't respond to my comment.
I liked, I shared, and here’s my comment. I listen to you and have been since 2020. But mostly I listen to my doctor because I have finally found someone who wants to work with me, on me. But I’m also the type of gal who will dig intomedical reviews from the Mayo Clinic or healthwise. I never, never, never use any information from the government! What about this doctor Proverbs 20:13 New Living Translation (NLT) If you love sleep, you will end in poverty. Keep your eyes open, and there will be plenty to eat?
Thank you, this verse while it is talking about sleep, it is referring to how your prioritize your time. If you sleep in then you will not be able to flourish. You can still get healthy amount of sleep by going to sleep at an earlier time.
6, I have an exercise physiology degree so I try to read original source research when I can. I also do use 1 though as I chose my Dr and my chiropractor and do trust them to a degree..

I use a noise machine & click on the "wind" option. It even helps my dog sleep!!!!!
