It's so easy to miss Yao because he was there for just a spec of Houston's history but when you do see him in highlights and replays, you realise how dominant he really was.
@@boogyman5559 I absolutely agree! In fact, Barkley shouldn't even be on the list. Clyde Drexler is the 2nd Greatest Rocket of all time. Helping Houston win their 2nd Chip trumps anything that McGrady, Harden, and any of those others bring to the table.
Barkley helped us get past the Sonics and into the WCF so he deserves to be on this list. But tmac should be off. He’s the first round wonder. We only advanced when tmac was injured.
Hakeem is the best. He did everything. Steals, blocks, points, assist, and rebound. He's a two time champion and he won MVP and Defensive Player in the same season. Hakeem is a GOAT to me. T-Mac couldn't lead a Rocket team to the conference final. He had some good moments but saying he's better than Hakeem is crazy.
I agree totally! And for that exact same reason you stated, Charles Barkley shouldn't even be on the list. To me, Clyde Drexler is the 2nd Greatest Rocket ever.
I was saying that exact same thing. Hands down , Clyde is definitely over Barkley and over McGrady. Clyde helped bring the city of Houston it's second Chip. For that reason alone he is the 2nd greatest Rocket ever.
Why did James Harden get so much airtime let alone be on here which is a shame. Where's Drexler and why is the ball hog McGrady on here!? Why no Calvin Murphy!?
@@parhamrahimi7886 I think we're forgetting Clyde Drexler. He helped Dream win the 2nd Championship. Imo even though he only played 3 -1/2 seasons in Houston, the Chip puts him above Moses & T-Mac. Elvin Hayes is above them also.
Tracy McGrady????? That's like saying Olajuwon was the greatest Toronto Raptor ever. Most of Tracy career work was in Orlando. SMH to who ever made this.
I miss the days were the NBA was a little more physical. Now a days a player goes for a layup & automatically gets a foul just for getting glanced or barely bumped. It’s pretty sad how fragile the game has gotten.
2:07 Hmm... I wonder who was training Yao at that time. 1st highlight, Yao does Dream's patented fadeaway baseline jumper. 2nd highlight, Yao does Dream's move vs David Robinson, game two, 1995 Western Conference Finals (see for yourself th-cam.com/video/TQN4Ckr4xaA/w-d-xo.html )
Good list but you should've had a top ten all time Rockets list because you left out Ralph Sampson who was one half of the Twin Towers helping the Rockets get to the NBA Finals in 1986. He definitely should've been on the list. Also Calvin Murphy should've been on the list of greatest Houston Rockets. And if you're going to put Charles Barkley on the list then Clyde Drexler should've been there too. Both came to the Rockets at the end of their careers. Only difference is Clyde the Glide help the Rockets win their 2nd NBA Championship. So he definitely should've been on the list, no doubt about it. And I would say that Robert Horry & Otis Thorpe should've made the list as well. Otis Thorpe helped the Rockets win their first NBA Finals against the Knicks in 1994. And Robert Horry helped the Rockets win back to back NBA Finals, playing Power Forward after the Rockets traded Otis Thorpe after the 94 NBA Finals which didn't make sense to me. But I can understand them wanting to bring Clyde back to Houston to play alongside of his college buddy Hakeem Olajuwon. They were part of the famous Phi Slama Jama in college basketball (1982-1984). No arguments about the ones you had on the list but there should've been others. And the list must've not been in order because Hakeem Olajuwon is the greatest Houston Rockets player by far and Moses Malone is definitely #2. Tracy McGrady definitely deserve to be on there but not at the top, No Way Jose.
Greatest Rockets of all time: (5) Yao Ming (4.) Moses Malone (3.) James Harden (2.) Clyde Drexler (1.) Hakeem Olajuwon Imo Championships trump gaudy individual stats. If Hardin brings another Chip to Houston, he would easily be the 2nd Greatest Rocket in history. UPDATE: Since Hardin left the Rockets in 2021, before winning a Chip, he'll never be higher than #3.
All at their career peak, irrespective of who they were playing for at the time: 1. Barkley 2. Malone 3. Olajuwon 4. Drexler 5. Pippen 6. McGrady 7. Harden 8. Ming 9. Sampson 10. Francis
Olajuwon and Moses Malone are far and away the greatest top 2 Houston Rockets. Also 2 of the most hustling and dominant centers ever.
I'm thinking Clyde Drexler is above Malone. To help lead the Rockets to their 2nd Chip puts Clyde above everyone but Dream.
It's so easy to miss Yao because he was there for just a spec of Houston's history but when you do see him in highlights and replays, you realise how dominant he really was.
If you put t-mac in front of hakeem. You sir are never allowed to watch, talk, or hear about basketball ever again.
That is a true statement my friend Tracy Mcgrady will never be known to be Close to the greatness that is the dream

If i get it right Tmac better than Dream??? hahaha best joke ever..
And Clyde the Glide?

90s Rockets, "Twin Tower"!!
Hakeem not on the top of the list ? Joke.
where is moses malone? led the Rockets to its first finals and it's first MVP
Moses is in there. See 9:47
The Great Wall was some baller
Ralph Sampson, Clyde Drexler??

13:50 what's up, Ewing....? xD
how come calvin Murphy and rudy tomjanovich are not talked about as among the greatest rockets? those guys are both hall of famers for houston

No Drexler?
Otis Thorpe....?

Only way this is ok if you admit your special needs.....
