Doesn't matter how many times I come back to this. I could listen to this main riff go on in a loop and I'd never be bored. There's something so groovy, yet kind of evil about this riff, especially the 1st and 4th measures on the A string.

She really nailed that groove. You can hear it but you can also see it in her face with how much she's enjoying it. There's something nice about watching a musician play something super technical but just love every minute of it. Kinda like any clip of Eddie Van Halen. Come on algorithm! @@dragonmac1234 its not... learned it a week ago( but i only have like a year of bass experience). But once u learned it and u get some of that sweet musclememory its actually pretty chill. guess thats why this bassline looks so easy.

@@gamefortver6700 I learned it 6 months after I started playing, it's not what I would consider the hardest riff ever. The hammer ons and pull offs in killing in the name of are way harder than this imho.

The deal with this song is that the fretting pattern isn't all that difficult. It's the workout to your right hand, your picking/fingering hand, that makes the song a bitch to play. You handled it beautifully! Well done!

the hardest is not only to be able to play this riff at this pace (93 bpm) but to maintain it during all the song. Except the chorus, you don't have the time to really breath.

Yep guitarist for 26 years, picked up bass @ 51 years old. I’m 56 as I type this and I spend more time on my 28” Ibanez mikro daily player. It’s holding up well for a “starter” bass. I have a real 5 string and pbass and I just love the tone and punch of the Ibanii basses. I found this channel looking for bass covers. So glad I did. Teaching this old dawg new tricks playa!

i learned this song two years ago on guitar, and bass because i was so in love with the riff!!! this whole album is my favorite. such a under rated band. After the fact, i was suprised to learn this was on a "RANDOM" hardest bass songs list. felt a little proud of it. just came across your cover tonight after jamming it out again.

@@dimsoneill You're essentially using the metal zone for the higher frequency fuzz that the Big Muff isn't making. So concentrate one on the low and one on the high end :)
@@DaisyPepperBass yeah gave it a go last night (Oz time) and worked it out, sounds good! Have fun with the 14 day Parallax trial. Not really my cup of tea (still love my Sansamp DI) but super fun for Muse, Filter and modern metal tones.
