Your Lone Journey is a gorgeous, hearfelt song. This version is a good as it gets. Rachael Price’s voice is cystalline, and the instrumentation is perfect. Moving from the sad song to a fiddle tune is brilliant. Chris Thile’s Live from Here has some of best music that you can find on the internet.
Holy cow that was outstanding! It started out so beautiful with the spot on timing and harmonies between Rachael and Chris, and then transitioned to that phenomenal fiddle playing and instrumental work. I don't know who was luckier... Chris to be singing with Rachael, Rachael to be singing with Chris, or us to hear it! Loved it! Also, nice to see Rachael pull back and sing a song so gently when we all know the power and pizzazz she often delivers. Is there anything she can't sing well? Also, my first exposure to Brittany Haas on fiddle... another great talent!
I have always loved this romantic and heartbreaking ballad by Doc Watson and his wife Rosa Lee Watson. Chris and Rachel's version is lovely. The fiddle tune that follows is out of place in my opinion, I love Brittanys playing and always have since I booked her and Bruce Molsky back when she was a minor in college, I just just think from a production POV the two songs do not belong together.
It is Your Lone Journey. Doc Watson and his wife wrote it. He made it clear several times that the correct name was Your Lone Journey though people usually sing it incorrectly.
Two separate entities trying hard to sing a song that should blended into one heart. Still pretty because this is a very special song but Lord you chillin' need to try singing nostril to nostril and get it perfect. It deserves that dont cha think? The fiddler brought it all together. As it should be.
Brittany Haas on that fiddle... she's magic. Rachel Price... anything she does is magic.
There's no end to this girls talent - she can sing anything!!
Needs a “really like” button.

My god ! I have listened to this many times & well up every time ! And then, Brittany just lifts my spirits & blows me away .
Ms. Price, fine, FINE, rendition. Thank you. Bless you.
So much talent on that stage. The collision of two amazing worlds.
She's easy on the eyes. And what a beautyful version on this song.
Best rendition ever. What a talented group of musicians.
Mud acres did okay with it.

Well Done, Love the Instrumental so Good - THIS IS MUSIC / SINGING.
Brittany rocking it!
Go fiddler, go!

Tell me the last time you saw a dud piece of music on PHC. Never would be my guess. Super stuff.
I think it would be cool to kiss Rachael Price. Really cool.

"Your Long Journey," isn't it?
That was as pretty as Rosa Lee and Doc.
Great voice, but not a patch on Nora Browns version
Isn't it "Your Long Journey" not "Your Lone Journey?" Robert Plant and Allison Kraus do a great version of this song as well, this is awesome though!
it is--mislabeled

This song is actually called Your "Long" Journey :)
No, actuallly, it's Your Lone Journey. Allison Krauss and Robert Plant got it wrong.
Written and originally sung by Doc and Rosa Lee Watson, "Your Lone Journey"
@@Bill-lw5ii to be fair even on the Watson family album it’s called your long journey
