Engineering is always the best field. There are namesake engineering colleges in TN. They are not producing engineers but only certificates.

Dear sir my name is Rohan and I have not taken chemistry in 11th and 12th because of the AICTE mandate stating chemistry not mandatory for BE and BTech courses. I have instead chosen computer science along with maths and physics as core subjects in 11 and 12th. In fact at the time of choosing, even my ISC school said admission in engineering college will be possible despite me not taking chemistry.
I just completed his ISC class 12 board exams and now that we are exploring colleges, most colleges so far are saying chemistry is mandatory and this has put us in a panic mode and tremendous stress. Is there a solution to this? Are there Chennai colleges who actually follow the AICTE modified rules?
Kindly advise and revert at the earliest because this situation is becoming scary for me. Thanks
I think still chemistry is mandatory for engineering,that order not implemented.
No school is leaving out chemistry subject. I don't know how got a school without chemistry.

Still many college curriculum and branches are not industry up dated,so after graduation students unable to get campus placement or off campus either.
Mechanical engineering placement drastically reduced last 8 years, almost no industry willing to offer mechanical engineering students to job offer for least tier institute.
Even though many colleges still hold use less courses.
Course is not useless. But colleges are useless and students are useless and not fit for engineering. Don't get carried away
