    We had two of the 2.0's, the step through for my wife, and the step over for me. I had over .5K miles on mine when we sold them, and my wife had 30 miles on hers, mostly because she never turned the key on, and used it as a standard bike. Nothing bad to say about them, they are awesome bikes!

      No, theyre not. $th and worst ebike I've owned. One was a cheap Chinese toy practically, but it ran for years. Which makes cheap garbage even better than Lectric as at least it got you home. Been on Ebikes for over 20 years. Never had so many error codes and issues as this Lectric XP 3.0. Can we forget whole purchase and just refund money? Glad you like yours! Thanks for letting me vent. Up all night trying to get a response or help with this broken bike. I'm a caregiver and we need working cargo bike. HELP!!

      Totally agree. We had first ordered two ebikes via Amazon, but while enroute I called Customer Service and got a fellow who had a very hard time understanding me (and vice versa). By contrast, several pre-buy calls to Lectric got young Phoenix enthusiasts on the phone, no issues at all.

      Thanks for tuning in! We try not to mention price in most of our videos because due to supply chain issues and inflation, most prices keep going up.
      With LECTRIC, we are confident in their commitment to keep prices the same that we decided to mention the price.

    I've had the Lectric 1.0 for a couple years. It's a great bike. When the 2.0 came out I declined the offer for a "free upgrade" due to the lack of a larger battery, lack of 4 inch wide tires, cheap suspension system, and I much preferred the look of the 1.0 over the 2.0. The rack built in is cool but they should just integrate it as the rear fender/rack. Did they improve the previously reduced 9.4 AH battery to go along with the more powerful motor? Is the stock seat still too hard for 99% of customers? Lots of options these days for sub $1k ebikes. If they ever go back to 4 inch tires and a larger battery that would be an actual upgrade.

    • @wtfbbqbye
      @wtfbbqbye 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      4" tires ass a lot of resistance. 2.0 has shocks so u get suspension and more efficiency. I wouldn't mind if they made it more narrow as the bike is quite heavy, rather it be quicker.

    • @StormyDog
      @StormyDog 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I also much prefer the 4" tires of the V1.0 bike. A decent front suspension is a nice upgrade but the smaller tires are a downgrade. All in all I'd still take the V1.0 over the newer versions.

  • @UltimateAnarchy
    @UltimateAnarchy ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Wow, an extra 10mm of shock travel? That's 0.39 inches. We're talking Cadillac right there. (kidding). But the upgraded motor and brakes are nice. It took them all these years just to catch up to what RAD has been offering since day one but at least they made it. The main flaw in the Lectric design is the key location. Having it upside down and so close to the ground is a horrible design. All the other bikes have the key located a couple of feet higher, near the seat post.

    Great video. Yes, move the key to the top

  • @BJJandBS
    @BJJandBS 2 ปีที่แล้ว +35

    All they needed to do was move the stupid key placement, they didn't, and add hydraulic brakes, they didn't. The shocks were fine. The cable wrap is an improvement. All in all, nothing to get too excited about.

    • @Andrew-vt4jt
      @Andrew-vt4jt 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      I agree about the key. However, I was not a big fan of the previous shock. The new shock is way better than the previous version.
      The ride feel is much more enjoyable for me and there isn't as much of a delay in the cadence sensor.
      I would have liked hydraulic brakes but I understand at the price point, that they needed to stay with mechanical brakes. You can swap them out for hydraulic brakes at a bike shop for a few hundred dollars.

    Is the extra seat cushion able to easily be switched out so I can add a milk crate when I want? I love the idea of being able to have a passenger when needed, but most of the time would like to have a milk crate/bag on the rack.
    Edit: got one and I just secure my milk crate on top of the passenger seat with bungee cords to easily remove it for my passenger. The extra seat is pretty tedious to take off and remove so this was my solution and it works well.

      @Andrew-vt4jt 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I think this bike will be much more safe than the Pegasus. The solid tires on the Pegasus could get a little dangerous in Illinois since it gets icy in the winter and is pretty humid.
      They both have similar top speeds but I would spend the couple extra hundred dollars to get the bigger battery on the XP 3.0

    • @PawDieFur
      @PawDieFur 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@Andrew-vt4jt yea. I was kinda happy they lost the scooter tbh. It was getting time to start replacing parts. I had it since last September and did about 860 miles on it. The front inner tire was torn due to an accident with the Throttle getting jammed by the breaks, The handlebars needed new grips, and the light still needed swapping. So with the money coming in from that loss I’ll be able to afford the bike. Only thing is kinda sad about is the disk breaks. Would prefer Hydraulic ones,

      @@lahawk7410 if you are talking about an electric kick scooter, just depends on what you are needing it for. I chose the varla pegasus because it checked all the boxes I needed. Fast speed, long-ish range (everything was within 4 miles), easy fold up and a clear screen. However if I were to get another scooter, I’d get a vsett. Specifically the vsett 11 or 11+. @UnconventionalReasoning ปีที่แล้ว

    While "it seems like these things would be common sense", the world we live in is much, *much* more complex than it was half a century ago. When someone got their Schwinn 50 years ago, they tightened the nuts, bolts, and screws and were ready to go. A tool was needed to change the height of the handlebar. The Lectric XP handlebar stem has a lever which allows it to slide up and down. A person who is very familiar with bikes has a sense of the amount of force to apply to the plastic lever to have it tight. The person who is less familiar is also worried about breaking the lever. So no, it is more familiarity than "common sense", and it isn't about the ligitious nature of the country, it's about Lectric wanting to keep it's riders safe.

    See the motorcycle in my picture? It a Harley Davidson Road Glide CVO. The Throttle on that motorcycle is softer than the throttle on these E-Bikes. The E-bikes start hurting your hand after about 10 minutes because the return spring is way too stiff. Max speed throttle only is 19.8 MPH. They even sent be a cheaper bike than the one I paid for and the basket for items is on backorder for 2 more months. There are better e-bikes out there. Lectric is cheap Chinese junk IMO. Yes, it's made in China. I didn't know that. I was under the impression they were made in the USA. WRONG!

    Nice entry level folder. I would say this bike would be perfect for people wanting a good transportable bike to use for a leisurely day of going out to get some fresh air. 15 to 20 miles at a decent pace.. Could be fun for the price. But... You could decide to get a folding E Bike with twice the power and twice the battery.. If you want to get into E Bikes on a serious level then a bike in the $2,000 range is going to make you a much happier camper. 👍 25 to 35 ah bikes with 750 and even 1000 watt mid drives are available in folding form. Dual batteries. Yes much beefier and heavier but much more ability.. If one wants.
