I just got a pair of Rocky’s, they are light and comfortable. When my boots come off they go on a boot dryer. My boots last longer and never smell. Drying them immediately keeps the insulation from matting down.
I have Rocky boots that are more than a decade old and will continue to wear them. I just bought a new pair this year. Great tread, comfortable and awesome for hiking the hill country that I hunt in SW WI. These boots last. I am wearing my new ones on a AZ bear hunt in 2 weeks. I recommend wearing a wool sock. I run a room-sized ozone generator on all my clothing including my boots inside of a fabric garment closet to destroy scent. I also pull my Scent Lok pants over my boots. If you want to get out there, then get some Rocky Boots.
I have a pair of lace up snake boots and need a new pair, will check those Rockies out - thanks! Lace up snake boots are nice if you do a lot of side hills like I do and they work nice for puddle jumping. FYI, feet can get longer. As you get older archers tend to flatten out and some may need a size up.
Snake gators over anything you want. Most of the time I never wear snake protection. The odds of a snake making it through any calf high boots are slim to none.I think I saw some tests somewhere..Running hog dogs in TX there are no native Texans wearing snake boots.
@DixieBowhunter-m5g never descented them before. That chemical smell disappears after a couple days out of the box. Worth letting them air out a couple days before wearing them hunting
im in south ga. these are cooler than the rubber ones. I wear the rubber ones in the wet season and the rockies in the dry season. I wear them year round. see more poisonous snakes in the fall and winter than I do in the summer.
@chrismacomber9727 these have been excellent for me so far. Bit it's also the onlg pair of them I have worn so far. I have 3 more pairs but not used them yet. Shocked how well these are lasting me
Imagine still buying any of these disposable Chinese boots in 2024 when Gumleaf and other quality 100% real rubber European Wellington-type boots exist and have been made known and now available to us.
Also I don’t think you can get a snake boot from either of those manufacturers. Last time I checked Gumleaf didn’t have them not sure about Wellington.

The boot dryer is a good idea. I’ve never used one but probably a good investment.
yep will never not have a boot dryer. one of the best 40 bucks you could spend in my opinion

Have you ever did a a video about how to de-sent your rubber boots?

Where are you located? Do you always wear snake boots? I don’t like them because they are so hot to wear. Are the rubber ones any cooler?

I can imagine it. I live in these and love them. I dont own gumleaf or wellington. 100% ok with my cheap boots.
