- Police quotes extracted from Driver: Parallel Lines, complete with picture references of the atrocious default peds, so you can attach faces to voices.
Probably some of the most varied cops peds in the series, DSF excluded. A lot of model/texture variants along with voices.

Didn't know half these lines existed, I'm not sure if it's a PC issue (Since '76 on the PSP had the same problem) but it's a shame the Police quotes are so rare to actually be heard in Parallel Lines.
Just block them off when they are on the scene of the crime and they will say some of the quotes

This is fantastic to hear! I'd love to know how you extracted them, I only ever managed to extract the generic SFX in one giant audio recording, this included basic SFX but no voice lines/car engine sounds/etc so it'd be interesting to know how it's done!

This should be fun to listen to. Hey, any chance of uploading some of the cut cop dialogue from GTA IV? Like the EFLC voice lines, for instance.
I can't guarantee it'll happen as this was more of a side project, but we'll see!
Never thought I would hear swearing in a Driver game. Its REALLY out of place!
Even Driver 1 featured swearing (had to be bleeped in some countries), though not to the same extent.
It feels out of place maybe from perspective of some of the games in the series, but in DPL it honestly fits right in. Makes the experience grounded, feel like you're in a big city.
I prefer the '78 cops/swat. I like their style.
When listening to the sound bytes I honestly thought they were the other way around at first. With how light hearted and comical everything feels '78, I was convinced the comically southern dude was SWAT there, but it was the exact opposite. :D Doesn't help they have so few lines.

Also, every time I see the '06 police car, I die a bit with how bad it looks, should've use the taxi model instead!
@@-eclipse-8435 It horrifies me that the model is based off a real concept Crown Vic they had planned, that was never adopted as far as I know. I'm with you, the Torrex would've made a great cop car!

That was unexpected, never heard them talking when i played it, compared to driver 3. And frankly, i never got the SWAT addetion here. I mean, they pack the exact same gunbs as the normal cops and health, so what's the point? Also, the boke/helmet cop, odd they made one when there are no police bikes in the game. I only saw them spawing after leaving the safehouse to lose heat.

shirt colors are flipped, 2006 is light blue but 1978 is dark blue, lol
Yup! It always made me laugh when I realized it, there's one shirt variant that's almost green in 06! I also get a kick out of what looks like toy badges, or the different amount of stars the 06 cops got on their sleeves. Buncha generals.
