I would suggest that you develop a written list of maintenance related items related to the general well being of the mill and all of the associated equipment. In the military we called it Preventative Maintenance Checks and Services.
I thought the critical fluids was coffee but what do I know. I see you also have a hydraulic transport system for lack of a better thing to call it. Husk frame it what it's called here I think. Works good and that was NICE oak. Mill doesn't waste any time but the log turners could use a little greasing. Couldn't we ALL and Elroy'll get limbered up soon enough. And it seems like the roof was leaking a little. CHEERS, Guys! Blessings!
@@troytreeguy The old mill here had an old 2-valve (1950 to maybe 52) 4-71 that pulled the saw. edger and cutoff and had a doodling chain and worked all of us on the business end to DEATH! I smoked then and the ONLY time I could get and light one was went they rolled another log on the carriage and now he has a 6-71 like you do and Mark does and YES, it's SWEET running! NO wasted motion! NOTHING ;like one! and Yall be well yourself too!
The frost has finally left and the mill track has settled back into square with the saw, in a couple weeks I can set the lead again and it won’t be wasted effort!
Beautiful oak!
Very nice oak log.

Good idea if someone’s lost

Thanks Lewie! Doesn’t that Detroit sound fierce. The infeed side needs the roof on it and there may be a couple drips. Be Well!

Nice bath of toothpicks by the way.

The blower is nice , but wouldn't a drag chain be better?
I think anything that works. We would build it with a real pit if we do it again.
