Thank you for reacting to this wonderful young man. And you were asking if you pronounced his name properly it is actually.Dimash like a mosh pit not like mashed potatoes. Anyway, I hope to hear more reactions. I love to see people, especially when they first hear him..

It is breathtakingly beautiful. Never heard anything like that, and I mean emotionally, not just the crazy vocal range. There is some supernatural energy about him, hard to explain. WOW! Could you do more of him, please.

Yes, Dimash is a master at conveying emotions in his songs & considers the emotional moments to be more important than his technical skills 😊

Yes, I've been following Dimash for 8 years ever since that video you recall and referenced went viral in 2017. These days he sells out arenas and stadiums around the world drawing fans from 70-80 countries who make challenging trips just to be in the same building with him. His octave range has been documented at 7.7 and his complex and creative genre-busting music spans everything from opera to hip-hop and rap. He sings in 15 languages and plays seven instruments. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't spend hours going through his amazing catalog of vocal performances and watching reactions to them. There is no one else like him on the planet. I doubt there ever will be. Greetings from Seattle.

One very experienced professional opera voice coach said he'd only ever come across 2 students with a 4 octave range, and none with more. Dimash if you include his whistle register, has a 7 octave range. Since you're a guitarist, I highly recommend Dimash's music video "When I've Got You" it's totally different from this performance.

    • @eugry
      @eugry 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +30

And another experienced professor said that Dimash's range is unknown, it is possible that all 13 octaves and that he has some kind of anomaly in the structure of the larynx and jaw, because no one can sing like that physically....

Regular people ussually have between 2-3.3 octave ranges. 4 octaves is rare. 5 octaves is special. Dimash and some other few are out of this world.
But depends on the genre too, a lot of Opera singers have 4-5 and Power/Heavy Metal singers do to.

Thank you for your wonderful reaction to Dimash. I hope you continue down the Dimash rabbit hole as the journey is a wondrous one full of delightful surprises. Your rendition of SOS was lovely and a special treat for all of us. It reminded me that Dimash just released a new video of SOS with Hauser playing the Cello. I believe they are in Singapore. If you want to hear more of his lower register and full range, Stranger is a good next song to listen to. I will let others tell you of his incredible history, his education, and his actual physiology that makes him what many people in the world consider the best vocalist in the world. Hang on and enjoy your journey.

Thank you for being honest that you might have seen Dimash before. Although he only became known outside of his home country of Kazakhstan and neighbouring countries when he competed in a Chinese show back in 2017. So definitely not early internet or even TH-cam days.

👉 Part 2: In 2017, Dimash surprised everyone, not only in China. His first album was certified 1x platinum in 37 seconds, 3x platinum in 47 minutes and 5x platinum in one day. (Each country has its own regulations)
He opened the eyes of his critical compatriots. Today, Dimash is his country's "cultural ambassador" and a "national treasure" (no official title). He himself is a proud Kazakh and patriot and is passionately committed to peace in the world.
Dimash plays at least 7 instruments, traditional dombra is a must in Kazakh familys. He speaks 3 languages: Kazakh (mother tongue), Russian without an accent (second language in Kazakhstan) and English. So far he sings in 16 languages (phonetically). Dimash says dancing is difficult for him. But he moves great on stage and his hands speak. He is a grandiose and sensitive story teller. Dimash trains his voice 3-4 hours every day...but he says: "You don't have to know how hard I've worked, you just have to enjoy the results."
In professional circles, Dimash is considered a lyrical baritone with a typically wide range. Some believe that he does not sing his high notes as a countertenor (Falsetto)but as a natural soprano (Head voice). He is the first singer to sing all 5 voices: bass, baritone, tenor, alto, soprano.
His current pitch range is G0 - D8 (outside the piano), 7,7 octaves! At least that's what Dimash shows us so far. 😃
    * Video about his vocal range: th-cam.com/video/7mo_MJbGSjw/w-d-xo.html
    * Video about his voices, genres etc. - th-cam.com/video/iIeF-fr8vfk/w-d-xo.html
Dimash's 'heavenly' vocal abilities, from bass to coloratura soprano, are difficult to classify. They are not only limited to the enormous range of over seven octaves and the mixture of all musical genres, but it is also the incredible command of his voice and the ability to touch people emotionally and surprise them again and again. Such skills are very rare and can only be acquired, maintained and perfected through relentless and never-ending training.
    „DIMASH-SHOW. INSPIRATION” Dokumentary - th-cam.com/video/MLZzOPZ2KWE/w-d-xo.html
Dimash doesn't drink alcohol and of course he doesn't smoke, he doesn't drink iced drinks and he doesn't like socks. He loves fire and water on stage, of course only as stage sets. 🤣 Dimash works out regularly to stay in shape - especially he loves swimming and playing tennis.
A dear once gave him knee pads, but Dimash says he's so deep into his songs that he doesn't feel any pain. 😃
Dimash is a very handsome, attractive man and is on the list of the most handsome men in the world (2018). He is a popular model all over the world. The best designers in the world court him and are inspired by his music. He doesn't just wear her creations on stage.
Dimash is humble, kind, generous, respectful, reserved and very, very hardworking. He gives a lot of his time and money to charity, supports people in need and always does it quietly. We Dears only find out because some people feel the need to talk about it.
Dimash is a megastar. He has the largest active fan base in the world, over 10 million Dears in fan clubs in 142 countries, women and men aged 9 to 90 around the world. (documented)… and at least millions and millions Dears who are not organized in the fan clubs. (In an interview his Dears were estimated at two billion.)
“DIMASH SHOW. UNIVERSE OF DEARS” Documentary - th-cam.com/video/4SexPGqVWtc/w-d-xo.html
    * Music therapist / Hamda Farhat's reaction to Dimash - th-cam.com/video/16ejBTvBtSM/w-d-xo.html
Dimash calls us "Dears" because we are just as important and dear to him as his own family. The fan clubs are not like those of other artists. They don't just cheer for Dimash. They return Dimash's love and emulate him. They strive for good manners and help people who are not doing well or they are committed to the environment. The Dears do their part to make the world a better place. This connects Dimash and his dears around the world.
What can't he do? Oops, he can't cook! 😃 Did I forget something? Oh yeah! He sings all the time, all day! He sings because he has to, it's his life.
Go on the journey. He will surprise you every time, touch your heart, nourish your soul or blow you out of your chair. Handkerchiefs are always recommended, even for hard metal heads! Be careful and hold on tight when Dimash pulls out the left earbud! Meet Dimash, his singing, his diversity, his development, his human size, his humility, his love for his dears.
A dear commented: "Dimash deserves the Nobel Peace Prize for his tireless promotion of world peace for peoples around the world." One can only agree!
    * FULL SPEECH AT FORUM IN ASTANA (2022) - th-cam.com/video/2C55a3mvfPI/w-d-xo.html
Please NEVER react to The World's Best videos!
For TV viewers, the songs are terribly mangled and edited together. Most Dears boycott the videos because they know the backstory: Dimash left the show before the finale and his assured victory, turning down a record deal and $1 million in prize money. In his culture, adults do not compete with children. The organizers lied to him when he signed the contract and later humiliated him. Eyewitnesses here: th-cam.com/video/XQgCJBnRvVk/w-d-xo.html
(K or Q? - Dimash was first known in Russia and China. There is no Q in the Russian alphabet (Cyrillic script) or in Chinese hieroglyphs. Now he is known worldwide and his name is written with Q in Latin script. Kazakhstan is also in the process of switching to the Latin alphabet. So both are correct, in countries with Cyrillic script: Kudaibergen, in all countries with latin alphabet: Qudaibergen.)
There are good, great, excellent singers and there is DIMASH!

Hello!! Welcome to the Dimash era!!! The first time I heard Dimash I was surprised just like you. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. My first songs I heard from Dimash were SOS and Sinful passion. You will be tied up like all of his "dears”. That's what Dimash calls his fans and there are millions of us around the world. Dimash was born into a household of musicians. At age 5 he began training at a music school where he was diagnosed with "absolute pitch." At age 6 he won his first piano competition. He continued his studies and graduated from the University of Classical and Contemporary Music. He has a master's degree in composition and is pursuing a doctorate in musicology. He is a multi-instrumentalist (6), as well as a vocalist and composer. He has ventured into acting, audiovisual direction, dance, advertising modeling (he is 6.3 feet tall). He has won countless awards and honors throughout his career. The most surprising thing is that he is barely 30 years old. He speaks Kazakh Russian (native language) and English and studies Mandarin Chinese. He sings in 14 languages. Finally I will tell you that above all these characteristics, he is an extraordinary human being who loves peace, respectful of his parents, family and culture and the best ambassador of his country to the world!!!

The way I found to celebrate the majesty of Dimash's talent was to have written the following about him: If I were to rule the world, I would immediately add, to the universal declaration of human rights, another article (they would become 31) whose wording would next "All human beings have the right, at least once in their lives, to hear Dimash sing". I am a Professor and I believe that I have a special profession that allows me to transform the human heart and consequently the human society. I work with young people and young people need to have good references. I had been looking for someone for a long time, of whom I could speak to the young people I work with, as a good reference. That person should be young, a super talent, a super mega star in the art world and above all, because he is the most important, a good human person. I searched and never found anyone with these characteristics. Until, finally, I found this person and that person is Dimash. I had the opportunity to say this to Dimash, personally, when I was with him in Latvia where I went, coming from Portugal (there are 8000 km round trip), on the 7th of March 2020. With friendship Rui Baptista

Love watching people discover Dimash via SOS ❤
What I really wanted to comment was that the tone/feel of your classical rendition of the chorus melody launched Fragile, by Sting, into my brain... a song I don't think I've thought of in a while, but the memories are really hitting me now.
Seems to me that part of why it's important to share music (& creativity in general) is that it helps people return/reunite with art they might otherwise be losing contact with . So thank you for that, today. ❤

Chama “THE SINGER” vale a pena você conferir. Valeuuuuu❤

This song is a pearl of the French songbook: It is a French-Canadian cyberpunk-rock opera called “Starmania”, written in 1976 by Michel Berger (France) and with lyrics by Luc Plamondon (Canada) and immortalized in the voices of Daniel Balavoine, Diane Dufresne and Gregory Lemarchal. The theme of the song is depression: In the 2021 version, Dimash faithfully and brilliantly presents a sentimental and melancholy interpretation! As the singing decisions follow the original structure of the song, which serves to show the psychological instability of the afflicted character: From the chest voice to the head voice and then to falsetto, the author sought to show a broad need to overcome a moment of despair and the pretense of accepting to reach a higher perspective! Dimash, currently at his concerts, dedicates this song to his friends and acquaintances who have departed this world!

    Really enjoyed your reaction, thanks!
Dimash (you nearly said his name correctly, apart from needing to make the ‘a’ sound a longer ‘aahh’, if that makes sense!) is also a musician; he mainly plays piano and dombra - a traditional Kazakh lute-like instrument with only two strings. He’s studied music since he was 5 and is about to complete his PhD, via a master’s in composition.
He can sing in many different genres - if you’re interested in delving further (which I hope you are), I suggest Screaming, live at the 2018 Chinese Idol Hits tv show; River of Love (an instrumental with his composer friend Renat Gaissin); Dudarai; When I’ve Got You or Adai+Daididau. They all have subtitles and are available on his YT channel.
    Greetings from the UK!😂

Yes, Dimash has an unprecedented almost 8 octave range, but more importantly, well developed, skillful precise and resonant in each octave, and specialises in smooth transitions between all..He can play with his voice anywhere and across any genre. His upper register is less Counter Tenor and more { my word! } ' Manprano'.
His early vocal coach found that he has longer, than average male, vocal chords, and they worked with him to train, develop and retain his upper registers as well as his lower throughout puberty. He is comfortable in Baritone and dips increasingly solidly into his Bass. He was on stage with his professional singer parents whilst still in toddlerhood, and was winning piano competitions aged 6. But aside from his extraordinary instrument and his Olympian level daily vocal training routine, he is not just a technician. Dimash is, above all a powerful Storyteller, who knows how to engage and convey and draw emotions.
He is also a thoroughly decent human being, whom, despite now being adored by millions, with sell out concerts worldwide, has no 'star ego, and tries to use his talent to create some good in the world. He also plays multiple instruments, composes and sings in now over 16 languages. Dimash truly is in a league of his own. Enjoy exploring more.

📌 Part 1: Welcome! Who is Dimash Qudaibergen? (pronounced: Dee-mahsh Koo-deye-bear-ghen)
Dimash Qudaibergen (Dinmukhammed Qanatuly Qudaibergen) was born on May 24, 1994 in Aktobe, Kazakhstan. He is 1.91 m (6.3 ft) tall.
Dimash is a singer, composer, multi-instrumentalist, producer, actor, video director, screenwriter and entrepreneur who has received the title of Honored Artist of Kazakhstan (2019), People's Artist of Kazakhstan (2023) and many other significant awards around the world.
Dimash Qudaibergen was very fortunate to be born into musical 'royalty'. Grandfather was a professional dombra player, grandmother was a teacher and sang. His mother Svetlana Aitbayeva has a classical education (not opera singer). His father, Kanat Aitbayev, is also a singer, songwriter and producer. His parents are known throughout the country and are “Honored Music Artists of Kazakhstan”. Both have been seen on the big stages and on television in Kazakhstan for many years.
    * Listen: th-cam.com/video/p71ot1uRZLQ/w-d-xo.html
According to Kazakh tradition, Dimash grew up with his grandparents. He calls them mom and dad and for a long time thought his parents were brother and sister-in-law. They all live together in one house.
Dimash said: "Open my heart, you will find music. If you open my brain you will find music. Music is my life."
Dimash wasn't a child prodigy, but he always wanted to be a musician and grew up surrounded by music. As a young boy (2 years old) he would often sit in the audience at his parents' performances and run onto the stage when they bowed at the end, and he did the same. While other children drew cars or princesses, Dimash drew a music studio and the instruments.
    * Interview with Dimash Kid for local studio 2006 - th-cam.com/video/lTjHW_IHTSM/w-d-xo.html
In his childhood, Dimash trained in taekwondo. He achieves his enormous lung capacity through targeted swimming and diving training, he dribbles very well with a football - th-cam.com/video/kt_lokOZLWw/w-d-xo.html and because his dears are important to him, he even takes additional dance lessons. Dimash's role models include Lara Fabian, Pavarotti, Igor Krutoy, Andrea Bocelli, Celin Dion, Queen and most importantly Michael Jackson.
He has been making music since he was 5 years old and has a perfect pitch. He has university degrees in piano, classical/opera, contemporary music and jazz with a major in singing. Dimash also completed a musical master class on Broadway and has a master's degree with a concentration in composition. He completed his studies with honors. He has composed 17 of his own songs so far.
In 2024 he will defend his dissertation. So we will soon call him Dr. Phil Dimash Qudaibergen. 😃
    * Dimash interview at the New Vision 2024 forum, Almaty - th-cam.com/video/8OykJQ_mOBI/w-d-xo.html
With his 'soprano voice', Dimash did not fit into the traditional image of a singer in Kazakhstan and was heavily criticized in his youth. Even his singing teacher forbade him to sing in falsetto (interview with his first singing teacher - th-cam.com/video/V7hkcKYAnhg/w-d-xo.html ... but Dimash was undeterred.
As a child he performed at concerts and took part in various competitions. In 2012, Dimasch won the Grand Prix of Kazakh young singers “Schas Kanat” (“Young Wings”). In the same year he received first prize in the Ukrainian TV competition “Vostochnyi Bazaar” (Oriental Market), and a year later he won first place in the Kyrgyz international festival “Making Asia”. In 2015, Dimasch won the Grand Prize of the Belarusian music festival “Slavyansky Bazaar” (Slavic Market) - a milestone in the young singer's career.
The career jump to global megastar came in January 2017 after his participation in the Chinese singing competition with well-known professional singers “The Singer 2017”.
In 2016, Dimash turned down the offer of an engagement at the National Opera in Astana (capital of Kazakhstan) because he wanted to go his own way. He created his own genre: neo-classical combined with classical, folklore and other styles like pop, rock, R&B and jazz. We lay people say “Popera”. Dimash not only sings in all genres, in some of his own compositions he brilliantly combines a wide variety of genres and styles and never ceases to amaze us dears. Dimash cannot be pigeonholed. 😃
Every song that Dimash sings is rearranged by himself and adapted to the respective performance. This means there are often several versions. His best friend Yerlan Bekchurin as a soundmanager and soundproducer implements Dimash’s creative ideas.
Dimash is independent and has full artistic control over himself. His father founded the company "DimashAli" with a friend (his son's name is Ali).

With this song, you just wet your fingertips in the ocean under the name Dimash... React further to it and millions of Dimash fans will simply blow up your channel with hundreds of thousands of views and subscriptions. Dimash sings from classical to rap, he is full of surprises, have a good swim in this vast Ocean of pleasures. Do you remember the Diva song from The Fifth Element, a movie with Bruce Willis? In this film, the song of the alien Diva was made half with the voice of an opera singer, and half synthesized on a computer to show an alien voice so that human capabilities could not cover the range and jumps of this song, and so: Dimash sang it calmly, which proves that Dimash is an alien. When heard Dimash sing, I thought that he was not human. When heard what he said in an interview, realized that Dimash is more of a human than all of Us.
