IHC Farmall 460 Walk Around and Drive

- Here I do a walk around after removing the loader then a drive to assess any repairs that are needed. During my walk around I am puzzled that I cannot find the Hydraulic fill port. On my dad's old H and M tractors there is a flat pipe plug port in the top of the operator's platform you put the gear lube in but that isn't the case here. These later models share the transmission/rear end oil with the hydraulic system.
(I did find out that it is in the same place as the H and M models only now it is a small plate held on by three bolts.) - ยานยนต์และพาหนะ
Interesting , Thank You . I just got 1 about a month ago , with a Farmhand loader , Works ok , need weight in back . Had a Massive antifreeze leak from that cover right under the gas tank
The fill for the transmission is by the shifter the 3 bolt plate on floor
Really Nice Farmall ! Thanks for sharing! Looks like you got a really good deal!!
Thanks for watching!
thanks for stopping by my channel! took a break over the summer. looks like a nice old tractor :)
Thanks!
Thanks for sharing... My dad has an old John Deere Two cycle tractor.. Not is use anymore but it still runs... He has a newer John Deere, mainly used in the garden... Full View and like... Hope you're having a good day..
U put tha fluid in on tha rite side wher u chek tha levl-that's wat it's for
I just picked up a 58 Farmall 460 like this one and love it... except I have a dirty gas tank... easy fix
The trans-hydro fluid is added next to the shifter, the little triangle shaped plate with 3 bolts. Id like to see how your tank heater Is plumbed? Good lookin tractor.
I think I did a video for you on the tank heater. th-cam.com/video/3KBQtrKSH48/w-d-xo.html
That’s a great looking machine, the narrow front end would be cool if you can find one.
It had one on it. All I would have to find is the skeleton because the original hubs and wheels are the ones that are still used on this wide front.
If you’re close to Wisconsin I have a narrow front I’d be willing to trade for that wide front
I mnt left side-just pump it in frum a barel pump
Nice old tractor! I see it has rear hydraulic remotes, too. What year make is it? My dad grew up on a farm with Farmall tractors.
Dont run it low on tran & hydraulik oil-yul burn up tha pumps etc.!!!
I see a few of your pumpkins! Did you sell the rest?
The transmission filler is near the gear shifter, you have to remove 3 bolts to access.
Yep found it. I was used to the old M and H transmissions were it was in the same place but was a pipe plug instead of the plate.
Are 460 doesn’t have the special rotating muffler feature going to have to find one of those 😂
I probably should put a clamp on it before the pipe snaps off the manifold. My dad never put a clamp on his Farmall Hs and Ms. He had a corrugated rain downspout on the H. That H did not have a lick of paint left on it.
@@1crazynordlander ya muffler clamps are nice we’ve got another tractor that’s been with out one and the muffler is so worn out it must flop back and forth 6 inches
