I always imagine when it's "friendships" like these where Palpatine does have a slimmer of remorse in him. Like when he calls Maul a true loss. He could've kept this up as long as he needed to until he didn't. But when he had to prematurely end it, I can imagine Palps just taking a deep sigh and going, "Fuck..." You're just a tool to Palpatine, that's apparent, but when a good tool unexpectedly breaks it's annoying. Like, "Fuck... I liked that hammer.."
I feel like this is the truth. But also is what sent palps down the full no fs given path. He liked maul. He wanted anakin. Dooku was just a stepping stone.
Perhaps Jedi should only trust a select few senators. Like Bail Organa and Padme. This way information could be passed both ways without Palpatine knowing.😊
Great to see the origins of sidious' rise to power despite Dookus' warning to Obi-Wan. I know it was necessary to take information spoken by your foe lightly but Dooku saw him as a grandson almost. It was necessary to trust his words or at least consider them. All this time I thought they hadn't even considered it heavily for so long
I think it was a good idea to want to get a blood sample from Palpatine, but I don't think it was wise to have revealed so much information about what it was for to him.
0:17 Didn’t you do a video a long time ago that stated Palpatine’s Midichlorian count was 11,000, Yoda’s was 12,000, Luke’s was 18,000, and Anakin’s was 20,000?
I remember reading this story and it was a great idea which palpatine did everything to prevent from happening. The fact they never mentioned this to yoda was their big mistake and made their deaths inevitable. It was probably the only way they could uncover a sith in the senate.
it shouldn't take a jedi padawan to come up with this idea, the jedi knew there was a sith somewhere in the senate so they should of came up with this idea on there own but who am i to judge. these are the same people who were given every hint of palpatines true intentions and didn't listen for a single one of them. dooku could of told obi wan palpatine is the sith and the jedi still wouldn't know who sidious is
Its an interesting story, one one side the senate should potentially trust the jedi because they already do, on the other hand its a universe where there is a clone war, and there is an entire race devoted to cloning, in that instance it might not be so far fetched to have suspicions of why they need a genetic sample of everyone on the senate. Imagine if this had actually happened in canon before the clone wars movies and then it played into the senate believing Palpatine's accusations of the Jedi trying to overthrow the republic, that would have been an insane reversal by Palpatine.
Palpatine’s true greatest strength is his ability to think quickly. He instantly adapts to any situation and knows exactly what he needs to do to achieve his ideal outcome. He’s like a chess grandmaster planning and predicting moves many turns in advance, only he’s playing chess against the entire galaxy. And he wins 😂
Vidar Kim was in the Plagueis Novel. I do remember that. The whole situation of his father and such also explained in the novel. But I was unaware of the Merson Slaughter including that storyline, interesting to say the least. But unfortunate to have Filoni's taint attached to it.
I love all the videos you do but I have a question and I'm curious if you know the answer or maybe theory when palpatine came back in episode 9 did he sense Anakin's presence at all
This is sad. Really. Poor Jedi. Master and apprentice. Glory to them. I think this is good idea, analysis. That would put Jedi at odds with Senate. May the Force be with you😊
So the question is still even more. Why didn't Palpatine/Lord Sidious confront The Fallen Fake Jedi Sith in Dooku for telling Obi-Wan about him? This is why I love True Jedi Knights in Obi-Wan, Yoda, and Mace Windu plus True Sith Lords like Darth Sidious, Darth Plagueis, and Darth Tenebrous, not these Off Code Jedi or Fallen Fake Jedi Siths
Since midiclorians exist in every cell, couldn't one take, for example a cell from a shed hair, ( the root bulb of the hair is still living for a short time after the hair is shed ), and get the count that way?
I know this is a bit unrelated but I ended up seeing an interesting video that I think you might enjoy. It involves a few ideas related to the Star Wars universe. th-cam.com/video/hKKvGId1hS8/w-d-xo.htmlsi=a-nqeAEn-QLoZ2fF
I imagine he would have to employ the old Sith trick of “Hey what’s that?”
It's more like the *Black Bush* skit from Chappelle's Show.
"Oil? Oil?" (knocks down water glasses; runs off)
Pocket sand!!!
Whut? Oh gosh darn, every time!
Or “hey look! is that count dooku?”

I love how adaptable Palpatine was to keeping his secret.
"I am the midichlorian"
-Palps possibly
"Palpatine's midichlorian count was so high, even Yoda was like, Hmm, no way he's just a politician. 😂

Palpatine also noted that Darth Vader was his biggest accomplishment.
One of the best clone wars era stories and one of the most tragic ones.
Here's one time the council was right about rules and regulations. Revealing Jedi business to outsiders caused the death of many.

The Plagueis Novel still giving us gems. 💎
'A padawan once tried to test my midichlorians. I ate his liver with some fava beans and a nice chianti'

I would've loved to have seen that in a Clone Wars episode.
You still can Disney Plus has all clone wars episodes
@@Harry-Murphydid you even read the comment
@debutriah2854 yeah I see it now
He messed up, that jedi f'ed up.
i was wondering about that for a longer while now, great video

Awesome video Stupendous hope you had an awesome Christmas and this one is an awesome addition to an already awesome set of lore content
Hey Stupendous I have a video idea where you do a tier list of the best lightsaber duelists for each lightsaber form
I LOVE IT! Added to the list!
@ Oh yeah can’t wait
That would have been a good idea at the time, but Palpatine wouldn’t allow that.
Another great Republic CW era comic
We can assume that Palpatine would've found a way to cheat the blood test
4:34 Ben Stiller is the dark lord of the Sith???
?

That’s not true
Wrong in all ways casual
There are no canon numbers, it’s just that Yoda < 20,000. Luke and Anakin > 20,000 each. Palpatine > Yoda
Mine is over a million

They should have developed some kind of tech like Dragonball that can see the power level
Even Palpatine liked him
Always wondered what palpatine did with him and man that was brutal

GreyJedi91 has a great "Star Wars Character Profile" on Ronhar Kim.
As of 2024, it is ~9 years old. But very well done (great voice)

To be honest I always thought Anakin was the only one who befriended Palpatine. I didn’t know there was another Jedi who did too

The jedi seem to be very dumb for all the wisdom they are supposed to have
My guy where was the stream last night 😢
20,000 it was above Yoda and Luke the only one outmatch that was pre Darth Vader
if only r2-d2 could pull a 007 (?) mission of subtly swabbing Palpatine's blood for Midi-chlorian count, then history would have changed
did ronhar think palps was sith
Day 712 of asking for a part 3 of what if anakin was trained by qui gon
How dare the jedi ask such a personal invasion of privacy ?
Does their religious persecution know any bounds ?
Do you think it’s possible that Palpatine genuinely liked the Jedi he ordered dead? I know the probable answer, but I’m curious about your thoughts.
