  • Well now, look what I gone and done... took a 16x18 floor tom, and turned it into a very nice sounding miniature bass drum. I've been threatening to do this for quite some time. This floor tom has been sitting in a case festering for years, and it was time. I did it the old fashioned way. I got out my lucky Stanley Fatmax hand saw, measured dozens of times, and then, in a frightening exercise of will and careful application of this savage cutting tool, expunged 6 inches of depth from the poor thing. Someday I will prolly put some kind of proper bearing edge on it, but it sounds so good, I feel no pressure to do so anytime soon. Enjoy!!

    Measure once-cut twice. Enough said.

Normally I would measure 3 or 4 times, and cut once, but since it's my P.O.S. delaminated ludwig, meh, who cares? I took something bad, and made it very good. Thanks for watching!
