In the mexican dub of deadpool 2, when Wade is telling Vanessa some names for their baby he mentions the name "Chayanne", which is the artistic name of a very well known latinoamerican singer.

The Japanese Deadpool dub adds something very interesting, it's not exactly a "change" from the original English though. You see, while in English, everyone uses the same "I" and "me" personal pronouns, Japanese has a whole bunch more. They're often used in a similar way to accents in English, the pronoun someone uses can say a lot about a person's background or personality. Deadpool uses his own original one! He combines the masculine and gruff "ore" pronoun, with the childish and cutesy "chan" honorific to make "ore-chan". This is a perfect fit for Deadpool's personality, the localizers really understood the assignment!

In the scene where Deadpool and Wolverine first end up in the Void, Deadpool says in the dub that "this place looks a lot like Mad Max, but then I'd be dubbing Thor, no?" This is a reference to the fact that the voice actor for Deadpool, Nagy Ervin also voices Dementus in the Furiosa Mad Max movie, played by Chris Hemsworth. In the first deadpool movie, when deadpool talks about who's balls he had to fondle with to get his own movie, (right at the beginning, on the rooftop) he says in the dub "I can't tell you, but in your country, he's not called Wolverine", referencing the fact that up to X-Men 97 and Deadpool & Wolverine, Wolverine's name was changed to Wolf in all X-Men media. This is also referenced in Deadpool & Wolverine, multiple times, like in the opening monolouge, when Deadpool says in the dub "Just so you know, Wolf, who's actually Wolverine, is not dead." When Paradox tells Deadpool that Logan is the anchor being, Deadpool freaks out, shouting in the dub "Logan? Really Logan? The guy with the knife hands? Who's name until now was Wolf?"
Meta jokes about the voice actor is super cool. They could've just ignore it, but they took the opportunity, being self aware about the dub is so Deadpool!

In fairness, "Spent" / "Wasted" still roughly track in English, given that it's the character's life that is spent / wasted, right? They're still mostly comparable.
Because of how reference-heavy the Deadpool films are, it makes sense that the other dubs went the "Localization" route we often see in video games & anime. If a joke doesn't make sense in another country, replace it with a (hopefully) similar joke instead of just translating it. About czech dub Ajax, I dont think its from any show. I think its meant, that his nickname is silly, like from tv show
You forgot from Brazil
😔
Ele sempre esquece
@theguydudebroo Easy there princess. No need to get mad bro
@theguydudebroo All he did was ask for the brazilian dub
@theguydudebroo Yeah, but you went on a super obsessive rant after the man made a request.
In india, i watched the original English dub, I dont understand, they did not censor the f word but they censored another word, I dont know which word it was but what was the point ? all the gore scenes were there but i dont understand why they needed to censor a word.
French dub of Deadpool is wayy funnier to us because our dubbers are really talented and writers really make a good adaptation of the jokes
If youre including dubs like ukranian and russian and polish you could also include czech, its very interesting and i would say very good
Just for a content, Ukrainian dub for 8 episode of murder drones just droped
6:09 Sierra means a range of mountains, it isnt refering to sierra leona
I love Ukrainian dub of Deadpool
i am so so so happy dubbing in PL is so unpopular. movies like this will be dubbed but if you cheeked cinemas you will have 1 dub screening for 15-20 original with subtitles. ////////// "AMERICAN comedian Benny Hill"?!?!?!!?!? WTF?!?!?!
Where are the videos on the main channel?
I watched the German dub a few years ago, and damn, they seem to have even more jokes and vulgar language in one sentence than the original in an entire dialog
7:54 lmao 😂😂
If you watch in tamil 🇮🇳 with original English subtitles both will not be related but tamil will be tooo good
Thank you for putting iran❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
In Mexican Spanish there are two jokes adapted from Deadpool 2.
They are not calling their baby "Chayanne", a famous puertorican singer and a Sex symbol in the 90's and early 00's. A very common mom's crush.
Deadpool does not speak "taka taka" which is an incredibly racist way to reffer to any asian language.
And in postcredits of DP and WV, Deadpool "Checks the VAR" when he shows Johnny Storm swearing.
In Hindi dub all the references were changed in Indian subcontext, makes it feel like very Indianized movie
2:51
As a person from Honduras/Honduran, I feel happy and confused with the Ukrainians XD
czech republic mentioned💪💪
The "american" comedian Benny Hill was born in the UK, lived in the UK and died in the UK. Why the heck do you think he was american?
5:59 Danm 😂
Vitalka - reference to one of ukrainian TV show
Episode 1 was released 11 years ago, wow, I forgot how long ago it was. (th-cam.com/video/lr-cTRl_kdc/w-d-xo.html)
"Francis"☺️🥰✨
Why Italy is always left behind in this videos 😢
turkish dubs are the beast
2:58 Sorry Honduras, you owe apology to your queer fans, because you're popular, lol
Hima
04:49 In the Ukranian dub 'Vitalka' is not just a name it's a famous Ukrainian comic character who is extremely cringe. Imagine Barney Stinson mixed with Mr. Bean. That's Vitalka.
Can make one for the first Spider Verse movie? And include the romanisn dub? I SWEAR I REALLY COOL!!!
Personally, russians and Ukrainians make the best re-sound❤
As an Ukrainian. This is so clever
6:11 He's speaking of La Sierra, a mountain chain at the center of Spain :)
Mexican dub is the best
WE NEED MORE SCENES FOR TURKISH DUBS!
really? the spanish dub says "i speak english", but why? is spanish or english the dub?
Oha Harun Can mı o
Benny Hill is English
the cancer... lol
6:14 No, he's not talking about Sierra Nevada, he's talking about a chainsaw, probably (Sierra = Chainsaw in spanish too)
"Mapa topografico de la motosierra" makes no sense.
Sierra = mountain range in this context
Why is the German sound quality so bad?
What do you mean? The quality ist bad. It's good. There are more badly movie dubs out there than German.
