A comment on an 11 year old upload of Nameless Song suggests that it's the theme for the chosen undead. You've been fighting bosses with their own themes the whole game, at the end you finally get your own. I really like that interpretation.

Absolutely underrated, people often just ignore the credits but epilogue startung off with the bell toll i think is great significance to how ds3's ending is finally putting the world to rest after long ages of struggle. Expecially with the end of fire ending, you put out the first flame once and for all to let the world naturally fade to darkness as it should have done all the way back at the end of the age of the gods.
The absolutely angelic voice lulling the world to sleep gives you time to reflect on all the fatigues you went through in the trilogy while also once again rewarding you with long needed rest despite the bitterness of how twisted and corrupted the world has gotten by the end of it all.

Fromsoft has been apart of my life for a long time. And I didn't even know it. When I was a kid I grew up with all the PS2 Armored Core games. Then I played AC4 and AC For Answer on the Xbox 360. I remember playing the original Demons Souls on PS3. At the time I didn't know that they were the same company that made Armored Core. Fromsoft really does have some of the best music. Always have. I remember watching the intro pre rendered cutscenes of the various Armored Core games and always being blown away by them. Back in the day those cutscenes were cutting edge, both graphically for the time and the music heightened them to the next level.

Maybe it's not a popular opinion, but I really love Demon of Hatred's track. To me, phase 2 really captures the sorrow, regret, and hate of (SPOILERS if people really still care) The Sculptor. If you do certain events right, you can even speak to The Sculptor before Ashina is attacked and he'll ask you to take his life if he did become the Demon. It's the reason I do the fight every single playthrough of the story, sparing a man from becoming such a twisted abomination. Also the music.
Fight is a pain, but after defeating it once or twice it becomes easier. Really that's pretty much all of Sekiro though. I remember just how much better my NG+ was compared to my first playthrough. I don't know how many people call Sekiro their favorite FromSoft title, but it's certainly mine.

I fucking love this track. Easily my favorite in the OST, and maybe in any OST, for the way it conveys the pain and, well, hatred, that the DoH feels. I think it’s incredible how it transitions from an eery and discordant melody from the violin in the beginning, representing the DoH, then when phase two begins the flute (I know it’s not a flute I just don’t know what it actually is), plays a heroic and pain filled melody on top of the violin's wailing. Then, everything clarifies with the percussion and pan flute at 35:21 and we get to really hear the DoH's theme clearly for the first time in the whole piece. Finally, the whole orchestra joins in underneath the flute in what can only be described as a painfully heroic theme representing Sekiro in his battle against the DoH. Truly some of the finest musical storytelling I've ever witnessed, and I'm a classical cellist so I've listened to a lot of symphonic poems.
Side note, but the high note at 35:07 played right as I was grappling to the DoH in the air after his drop attack and it was some of the biggest goosebumps I've ever gotten from a game. I will always be a fan of FromSoftware for their uncanny ability to create moments like these.

Hmm, I think Lady Maria’s ost sounded slightly different because this one had a short concluding section at the end. Not sure if someone added that in or what but sounds really good regardless.
Edit: Just realized something interesting. While Mohg and Mohg’s illusion have the same theme with small changes. Morgott/Margit have themes that are much more different. During the Margit fight, the tone is sort of subdued aggression, but during the Morgott fight, it begins strong and aggressive, but quickly devolves into a far more anxious and desperate piece. Really interesting reflection of the characters.

As someone who played Armored Core 3 as a kid, and still feels its impact on my imagination to this day, I feel the need to point out that Artificial Sky IV is actually the music from the final cutscene and the end credits. Much like Oneirophobia from Lightfall, it uses a lot of the various motifs and themes from other parts of the soundtrack. Someone who has played through the game will recognize those motifs and themes and be able to almost stitch a story of their own together just by listening to that song, almost like reflecting on the journey as the credits roll. Granted, it's less expansive than Destiny, but there is a similar enjoyment in recognizing the individual pieces making up that song.

Super fun to see you react to these! I’ll just add a little bit of my thoughts on Gentle Blade from Sekiro. This song plays during the boss encountered immediately after you choose the game’s “bad” ending. You’re faced by someone who was an ally up to this point but because of your evil actions now needs to cut you down. This song really doesn’t match the route Wolf is choosing in this moment- what this song represents is the last hope, the final remaining ray of light in this land that refuses to let the darkness take over. In this moment, the boss is the protagonist, the one we should be rooting for in the narrative. This hits different for me because it’s not just some sad lore that defines this song: it carries all the weight of your character’s betrayal and all the direness of the situation, a gentle blade is all that stands between Ashina and its destruction. The hopeful tones of this song are so painful to listen to knowing that you yourself are about to snuff out that hope and plunge this land into ruin. Gentle Blade portrays so much in such a short period of time, absolutely amazing song that greatly benefits from Sekiro’s tighter narrative.

Glad you did a good number of Sekiro tracks, that game's soundtrack is excellent and often doesn't get the recognition it would deserve. A bit sad you didn't do Guardian Ape, though, that's my personal favorite. The spooky strings always give me chills. Also not sure if I've seen you do Laurence, The First Vicar outside of the video you made on it. It's not my favorite bloodborne theme (that dubious honor goes to Cleric Beast) but it was the bloodborne boss theme that left the biggest impression on me and does a great job conveying the tragedy of laurence.

I think one underrated part of Sekiro’s soundtrack though is the music associated with the areas of the game. There’s some great ambient tracks and also great combat tracks that are able to standup to the game’s boss track. Something which no other FromSoft game has had. Snake Eyes and Okami Lineage are two really good examples.

I'm happy he got to hear Artificial Sky. There's multiple versions of it that play through the game, including on the title, but I remember IV being the last with an alternate version called Tribal. It's very strange and definitely not a track I would introduce someone to Armored Core music with. Most would probably say it's terrible, which is understandable especially without context. Which is interesting, because there are a number of songs I've heard in my life that I think are a bit strange and maybe off-putting in a way, but I still genuinely like them and this song is more or less an example of that. If you read this, Marco, I'm curious if there are any songs that make you feel this way-- songs that you like a lot, but may not want to share with anyone for one reason or another.
I can't think of many AC songs quite that out there-- maybe Evergreen family, which is a little much even for me, but all I can say is that we should let them cook haha
Honestly Plains of Rowahl was a nice surprise because I never heard of Lost Kingdoms. I don't know if it's any good, but that one track was really interesting and I quite liked it, so I need to check that out.
Also, I can't wait for FF16. I have to wait a month or so before I have a chance to get a PS5, but I'm hyped for the whole thing.

I know people always talk about the grandiose fight themes that fromsoft absolutely blasts out of the water, but, to me, nameless song will always be the dark souls theme. The simplicity of the sadness of thats transpiring in the world is so… gah. One of my favorite theories that I personally aggree with and think makes some of the most sense is that, every boss gets its own theme, but the player never does. Nameless song is the players theme. It really sets in just how tortured the player really is in the story, realistically speaking most people would have gone hollow long, long before the end. But at the end you get to make a simple choice. Give the world a few extra seconds, a few extra moments before it all cones crashing down, or simply let it fade away. There is no saving the world of dark souls. Theres merely delaying the inevitable, or letting it happen. The song just perfectly encapsulates the feeling of the chosen undead, you are in a hopeless situation. No matter what choice you make, the world dies. I always link the fire just in the vain hope that the world will continue to survive. Well, at least thats what the story of dark souls 1 was before they changed it to accommodate the sequels. Which is why ds3 reiterates the same themes…

Dragonslayer Armour's theme is one of the best in DS3. I love it. It's an awesome fight; one of my favorites. Probably in the top 5 Dark Souls 3 boss fight for me. Him destroying the railings and sending players flying off takes me back to Taurus Demon times, lol.
Ludwig's theme and fight is still one of my favorites as well. Difficult without being aggravating, unlike Laurence, which nearly made me yeet my controller at various points. The shift in music with the 2 phases and how they handled the shift with the cutscene is gorgeous.
Oceiros' fight isn't tough, but it's so dark. In phase 1 he keeps his left arm cradled like he's carrying a baby. He is, but we can't see him. The switch in phases was meant to have a bit where he eats the baby, but even FromSoftware decided it was too much and cut it. They left a lot of the audio though, so it's still a bit disturbing.
