thanks. I don't anymore - used to do it as certain songs fitted my vocals better whilst still being able to play the original chords etc. Sometimes it's a challenge to get a similar sound to the original when shifting keys on the guitar!

David, I am trying to down size my looping, I use RC300, an Alesia sample pad, and a Roland Juno plus several effect pedals, I can get a really great sound but sometimes loops can take too long, I love the simplicity of your style, it so smooth and full of emotion, I’m feigning to lean more toward your style, thanks for all your tips
Hi Ronny! Thanks so much for this comment - sounds like you have a great setup. It's often a challenge of looping that the loops take a while to make - could you start singing whilst still recording some of the guitar or rhythm sections perhaps?
David Shanhun I could with some songs and that’s a great thought because I can really get a quality sound, but sometimes I just want simplicity I just feels more personal with the audience, let me work on a few an I will let you know, thanks
David Shanhun I also wanted etiology mention I think what makes your sound so smooth and personal is you style of finger picking, you seem to focus on notes that accent the rhythm and sometimes sounds like two guitars which what we all strive for, I often try see you hand movements to copy your sound, it’s really good
Good track also! I do use the harmonies and the vocal doubler (is that what you were meaning), but I use both pretty low in the mix when I do use them. Just for a touch of what they do rather than a full vocal harmony that you'd expect with another vocalist etc.

Great looping skills! I'm new to looping. How can I make the lead playing louder than the rhythm gtr on the loop? I have TC Helicon play acoustic and Lekato looper pedal. ??? Any advice welcome
Hey Scotty, not super familiar with the play acoustic, but you should be able to set something for the hit button that gives you a boost (i do this on the vl3), or failing that you can set another preset (that keeps everything the same except for adding a guitar boost). That way you can just switch up or down to the next preset and back again after the solo.
Sure thing 👌 There is a version I was doing previously in the 5 simple looping songs video - but it’s a bit different than this version. Might get you started until i make a video!

Thanks. Yes it does - great pedal. I would recommend getting the external footswitch for ease of looping on both channels with it though.
