As much as I don't like wearing a bug net sometimes even when the bugs aren't bad I put it on to keep the spider webs out of my beard🤣 Take care 😎✌

lol, great vid. I find it most amusing that the day you post about panties on the trail is the same day in real time the Jen reunites with you to push on! Love you two. Let the masotaters summer begin.

I don't miss many things about the Hoosier State, but the plethora of eastern box turtles is definitely one of them!

Every day includes some route choices that just make me wonder. Like making you walk miles along the shoulder of busy Hwy. 31 when there were available quiet roads that led to the same place in fewer miles. Also, your title for this episode sounds like a lost Spinal Tap album.

I’ve yet to manage to get a hold of the ADT state coordinator for Indiana but I know in at least a few cases before the route was laid out before development happened and changed the nature of some of these roads and they just haven’t rerouted it. Also sometimes they are visibly trying to make sure it goes through some park or patch of wilderness. End of the day most of the roadwalks aren’t that bad

I live here and couldn't figure out going diwn 31 until I saw Matt's video. It is to take you by Pigeon roost!

I figured it was due to the state forest since they seem to like hitting trail even if it adds a bit of mileage

Nice contrast between the cloudy, rainy and humid conditions for Matt and the blue sky, sunny and dry conditions for Jen. Maybe Jen will bring the good weather gods with her to the ADT. Thanks for videoing while hiking in the rain. I know how difficult that can be.

This is why so many people want to live in California. The weather is usually absolutely lovely compared to almost anyplace else :)

They Missouri Katy Trail runs from near St Louis to near KC, a rail trail flat along the Missouri River and lots of camping and town options. It's 240 miles across Missouri and I think you'll really like it.

Golly, Taters that's just beautiful. (Sorry Matt...Where you are looks like here!) The first part of the PCT to Kennedy Meadows is on my list.

Should be interesting to see how far west you still see blazes on the trails. Keep up the good work, loving the videos.

The ADT Society has a coordinator in every state so I would expect to see at least a few emblems the entire way

The surprising community around the ADT really makes it look more inviting than I expected. It's great that there are all these other developed long trails now, more than just the AT & PCT getting most of the attention.

As I mentioned around the Buckeye that’s what I really love about the smaller trails. So much heart and none of the exhaustion that sometimes can affect the bigger ones.

"I really miss people on the trail, the spiderwebs keep hitting me in the face first thing in the morning" yeah, humans are useful sometimes I agree. How humid it must be,how dehydrating.Wish we could make sure you have some liquid IV or other quality drink mix for water.Soletimes when dehydration begins the body picks a former injury or sore area and inflames it in order to let your driven mind know "Hey, hey something is off" then when you rehydrate the inflammation lessens,or even subsides. Its worked a few times to stave off further damage, don't know if that's of use to you.Strength trail soldier soon the wide scope of what you have done, sacrificed will be realized.Thank you

Kansas is hot as Hades. The year we drove through, thousands of cattle were dying from the heat. It was so sad.

Humidity, spider webs, turtles, roadkill, and discarded panties. The whole gamut of annoying, bloody annoying, cute, distressing, and puzzling. Way to go! And Hike on. Tortoise

There were a couple of brutal humidity days last week here in the Hoosier State, I know that by this posting the humidity has gotten much better and you're probably really enjoying it. I don't live in Southern Indiana, but I never knew there was such a thing as a Cucumber Magnolia, but now I do. You can learn something new every day. Some beautiful scenery from both you and Jen in her clips.

As I’ve mentioned before my history of backpacking is in more wilderness areas where the etiquette is you don’t camp right next to other folks. And in general I don’t enjoy sleeping in close quarters with others.
