I have enjoyed and benefitted from your tutorials for colored pencils. Your instructional narrative while drawing is just right, not overwhelming. I followed along for the pear and I was so pleased with my efforts. I'll get ready and follow this one tomorrow. I love getting a realistic looking rendering with the use of sketch-like mark making.
This was amazing ! I’m in Toronto, Canada. Thanks for this demo. I’ve used coloured pencils all my life, but never have I seen a demo of how to use the pencils. My set is Derwent, so a bit softer I think, and harder to get a sharp line.
I took a color pencil course from another artist online (who I won't name :-) and the process for creating a color pencil was SOOOOOOOO slow. This drawing would take MANY, MANY hours to complete. It was such a turn off that I gave up on color pencils and switched to pastels.
Beautiful and amazing work I like it I’m watching this from USA 🇺🇸 pin my comment on the top plz sir because it is my first comment.guys from where are you watching write it in comment box thanks ❤
Phil does discuss the reason why the colour has changed - he says to focus on the values, rather than the actual colour, and they can be any colour you wish!
Materials list and reference photos can be downloaded from the description above. Any problems let me know in a reply to this comment :)

This is great. I just did a watercolor of these shoes in red and would love to give it a go in pencil. Love the jeans added

Thank you, Phil! Very enjoyable, helpful and reminded me how much I have been missing colored pencil work!
I’m very new to colour pencil drawing, your tutorial is amazing. Thankyou for sharing your skills.
Amazing art. 😁

Name this person please, I want to know whom to avoid.
Hi Phil, what is the difference between the Aquarelle and the polychromas? (I realise one can be used as watercolour, but besides that!).
Did you draw for Staedler pencils, using Polychromos pencils?
In Texas we call them tennis shoes or tinny shoes is really what it sounds like! 😂
Are they called grommets (the shoe holes)?

The original sneakers are NOT blue…they are black. JMO.
Dark navy but what's a shade or two between friends?
@@PhilDaviesArtist Ok, you win!!! Maybe I haven’t had enough coffee yet!!! I’m looking forwards to trying this one!!
They do look dark blue to me.
