I hope you enjoy this lesson. It's a long one but you can easily follow it in small chunks - check the chapter markers in the description above. Let me know what you think in the comments below. 👍
Absolute awesome lesson I have ever come across. You have worked through it with such amazing step by step detail but such patience and calmness.Thank you for your contribution to those who struggles with perfecting their artwork
Absolutely amazing lesson that I have ever come across.Thank you for sharing your skills and talent in creating such detailed real to live burger!-A must to watch lesson.
Wow what an incredible lesson, I did have a go and I enjoyed it very much, of course it didn’t come out perfect but I was close enough, thank you your tutorial was very comprehensive and again I loved it
Phil please keep going with your videos. I notice it's month's now between videos. You've got something good happening here. This was a brilliant video thank you.
Thanks for your gorgeous video! I really appreciate that you teach every detail. It seems like I have a really art teacher😊 I am really looking forward to your next tutorial video!
i am kinda a beginner and i never thought i would do it, just started and regretted, but still decided to a least finish it and i am so happy with what i made, its not as near as good as you but i am satisfied with my skill level... the video was so detailed THANK YOU !! you gave me confidence.
Thanks for the lesson. I have never used coloured pencils and found your tuition good and easy to follow. I used pastel paper and Faber Castell pencils.
I did have a go and I loved it, of course it’s not PERFECT but it came out better than I thought, thank you your tutorial was excellent and very comprehensive. Again I enjoyed it emansely
I loved this lesson, I did break it up into several sessions. My bun really gave me encouragement, my lettuce, well let's just say I need to practice lettuce...lol Thank you for this video!
Incredible, it looks fantastic. Thank you so much for showing this! I've so far ignored color pencils as I could not make any use of them, but it's just inspiring to see :)
I’ve set myself a challenge to draw realism in 2024 as I’ve never been confident in this area at all. I’ve watched the full” video first, then I’m going* to start bit by bit tomorrow. To be hones5! It scares me, but life isn’t for living inside a comfort zone 24x7 is it? I’ll update as I go along, see how I do. Thanks for taking the time to teach these techniques
Loved this lesson! Lots of tricky parts for me since I couldn’t find my grey toned paper. Did it on white 🥴. I found the lettuce to be the most challenging. If I really squint hard, from a distance, I can pretend the lettuce looks okay. Thanks for sharing your amazing talent!
Love your method of outline sketch drawing of the hamburger without using tracing or gridding .Do you have a video demonstrating outline sketch drawing a portrait from a reference photo?
I just finished it! I lost my patience also my observation twice in this process. The first one is Burger and the second one is lettuce. I am impressed not only your technique but also your observation and patience!
I do enjoy this lesson very much. Your teaching is in details particularly good for beginners. Could you give more detail about the exact Mid-grey drawing paper of Strathmore that you used in this lesson ,because Strathmore has large variety of drawing paper or paper pads and it is no easy to find. Thank you.
This was great fun to do. I didn't have the exact colours but I have a set of Prismacolor that I made do. Loved this! Is there a place to show our attempts?
I am new to colored pencil and have a question about paper. I am having a hard time finding Strathmore gray toned drawing paper. In the 400 series, I am only finding sketch or mixed media. Is the Artagain the best choice because it is drawing paper? Which would you use? The cheeseburger is so real looking! I really want to try it. Thank you for all your videos! They are an inspiration to draw better and try something new.
Nicely done, but I feel I will have to eat a couple of cheeseburgers first in order to get the feel for them. 😂 I don't have those pencils, but I may try with the FC pastel pencils like you did the kingfisher with, would that work?
QUESTION: Phil, have you tried the New 72 Derwent Chroma Flow? I have a very light hand and usually do several light layers with CP. ( Procolour, Lightfast and some Poly.) I can't press hard because of a neurosurgical injury that left me with issues. If I tax my hand it starts doing things like throwing the pencil across the room. It's funny but it really messes up a painting. All of my pencils are Oil based. These aren't and I thought perhaps a Wax based pencil would be a smart addition......What do you think about this? I've heard that combining wax and oil based works well but am very new to CP and need an expert opinion. Thank you.
I really love color pencils, and your art work it's amazing, I am not a profecional, I just love drawing and I would love that my drawings it look real as you make look yours, I love pen and ink, watercolor markers and alcohol markers, but I am missing something, to me my drawings it look too flat and I would like to fix that. Once again I love your art work.
Amazing what you did with this. Very inexperienced so this is way above me for now. Tried to join ArtKula but never got a response, is this still active?
I hope you enjoy this lesson. It's a long one but you can easily follow it in small chunks - check the chapter markers in the description above. Let me know what you think in the comments below. 👍
I enjoy this thoroughly since you are doing it in chunks with time to catch up.
For me the lettuce is difficulté to do.

Absolutely it could work! If you do end trying it, please consider posting to ArtKula and tag me in the post as I’d love to see it.

Phil you're making me hungry
Those burgers need to be cooked a little longer!😂
"Kula" is a Hindi word means family.
No sound on this video, is it normal ?
The sound its ok for me
Now it's ok. The sound is good.
I was doing really well until the lettuce then it all fell apart 😞
Please for God sake delete the waste part of the video
