Dig, dig, dig, dig, deeper Dig, dig, dig, dig, deeper Delve, delve, delve, delve, deeper Weep, weep, weep, weep, weeper Raise thy lantern, pioneer Shine upon the far frontier Fingers cracked and body broken Mind a-daze yet soul awoken Diving into the mire Laid out upon the pyre Never this soul shall tire Running into the fire Your bleary bloodshot eyes open wide in the dawn Let the light in and brighten the shades that sleep inside you Find the flame, the flame, the flame Find the flame, the flame, the flame Let its light blind you Delve in this dark abyss Fathomless emptiness 'Til the kiss of fire enfolds you
I used this for my party's final fight. They failed to contain a gargantuan kaiju dragon (from Ryoko's Guide) from rampaging and it completely destroyed the city they were in, so they had to confront it to prevent it from killing more people. The lead up to the battle was dead silent, I just had the sound of people screaming and the dragon's roars in the distance. Once they got close enough, the monster noticed them. They stared down for a little while, I let the party collect their thoughts... then they told me they were ready. I faded the bg ambience and gave them a full 10 seconds of dead silence as I narrated the kaiju honing in and getting mere feet away from the cliff they were standing, until they were at eye level. Then I played one loud, final roar (0:48 of this video: th-cam.com/video/29yUiAZEGiY/w-d-xo.html) and started this song right after. Everyone was literally shaking with excitement, me included. One of my proudest DM moments ever.
Dig, dig, dig, dig, deeper
Dig, dig, dig, dig, deeper
Delve, delve, delve, delve, deeper
Weep, weep, weep, weep, weeper
Raise thy lantern, pioneer
Shine upon the far frontier
Fingers cracked and body broken
Mind a-daze yet soul awoken
Diving into the mire
Laid out upon the pyre
Never this soul shall tire
Running into the fire
Your bleary bloodshot eyes open wide in the dawn
Let the light in and brighten the shades that sleep inside you
Find the flame, the flame, the flame
Find the flame, the flame, the flame
Let its light blind you
Delve in this dark abyss
Fathomless emptiness
'Til the kiss of fire enfolds you
wow i thought it was gibberish like the usual game soundtrack, it's actually english lol
@@mauvehawaii Almost all of Soken's songs use english, with the odd bit of gibberish that he got from sound libraries.
