In my experience, you can't botch a firmware update otherwise bad things can happen like you're seeing. There are two steps to the firmware update process and both must be successfully completed. When the box is setup correctly, it works flawlessly and is easy to use. I think you've got this thing in a really bad state and honestly, with your lack of experience with Infinity, I think you're just digging yourself into a deeper hole. At this point, I'd just send the box to AEM and have them setup the firmware for you that way you don't have to mess with it. I've setup numerous units with no issues so it's definitely not impossible to use. Also, you shouldn't have to select run as admin every single time you open the software. I think you can go into properties and set it once and be done with it. If you don't have admin rights on your PC it could lead to software issues like you seem to be having. Granted, you may have "tuning" experience with other systems, but you may want to get this in front of someone who has Infinity setup experience because it really isn't as hard as you're making it out to be. Just sayin'.
I really appreciate your input and im glad that its just me having user errors and its not the AEM INFINITY. I just find it strange that everything I do with this system makes it operate worse. I been in contact with Pyng at aem and he has been very helpful up to this point but we still cant get it to connect and work consistently. I have had it connected and reading all the sensors for about 15 min then it froze and I couldnt get it to connect again. I have tried 4 different laptops some with windows 7 and others with windows 8 so Im sure its not a laptop issue. I think I will see about sending it in to have it set up as you suggested. You seem to know a lot about these systems. Do you have a email that you can give out just incase I have anymore questions?
