Great flashlight and a beautiful kitty cat! Looks like my Buddy who went to the Rainbow Bridge last year.

Just bought one, it's pretty nice. A tighter beam would be nice as would making it faster to change the beam. Also, a grippier body.

If you've ever been stuck in the wild for more than 24 hours, you will be very sorry if your equipment consists of rechargeable devices.

or if you live in Alaska where they are difficult to obtain due to not being air shippable

I use to have a Nebo redline blast 1500 and it was amazing, is the Newton the non “tactical” version of that?

Thanks for this video. Can you show us how to change the batteries? Do you need to take the end off the battery holder with a Phillips screwdriver?

Your welcome! The end cap just unscrews by hand and your battery holder just slides out. no tools required.

That looks like a good value, as we expect from Nebo. I wish they would get away from small batteries in carriers. Alkaline batteries just leak too often. Rechargeable lithium ion batteries are the way to go, in my humble opinion.

NiMH batteries don't leak, and you don't have to worry about too high storage voltage with those, as with lithiums. Also they won't violently explode if there's internal corrosion from over-discharging, if they're somehow punctured or otherwise damaged, or if overcharged. These aren't problems for a responsible adult, who's technically knowledgeable, but means AAs are not* going anywhere soon. Rechargable lithium just isn't foolproof enough. Edit: of course you get around most of this by sticking with non-removable batteries, that charge through integrated USB port, but that would be very limiting If it was the only option. Anyway Nebo has lithium battery versions too, so more options is just a plus in my book

Why would anyone want LiOn battery in flashlight or any thing else for that matter? They are a fire danger and very hard to get here in Alaska due to not being able to be shipped by air. I use Eneloop AA or AAA NiMh batteries an all battery powered equipment - less danger of fire, easy to get, low cost, long lasting, better cold weather performance, and replaceable by commonly available alkalines if necessary.
