Even being overwhelmed with all that's going on you still take the time to capture it all on a vlog to keep us all up-to-date with your journey. You are a boss, Shania! Keep on trucking. Much love from Puerto Rico ❤
Nia Congrats on this adventure you're on. I regret so much not getting my own truck in 2000. That's a super sharp truck you got there. One suggestion, I would write down a checklist of things you need to get done and setup. You have a big advantage of not having a mortgage or rent to pay. You got this girl, just run hard and save, save for that Big 379 Pete. I wouldn't put your logo on your truck, too many weirdo's out there. Just my opinion. Stay safe. Peace ✌ and Love ❤.
I’m a dispatcher and watch your videos and just wanted to say congrats on your new truck and journey, the one thing I will say about leasing a truck with a major carrier is they will give you loads meanwhile they are paying off the truck and once it gets close to you actually paying it off the loads slow down and your screwed cause you can not use the truck to get work anywhere else and the payment can only be made by the company, and that’s how they take advantage of this, just be careful most of these major carriers are really shady.

Congrats, Prime is a good company as you can see all the amenities they offer - it does not look like a typical trucking company. Prime knows trucking and so will you! I will not go into too much details, but after orientation they want you out running - so don’t take too long to leave the terminal. By the way you are funny! Back to business, get all you need to get done with your truck and start to work. Prime likes people that moves their load - any who you will find out! Lol good luck and all the best - you are with the best trucking company!
Congratulations on the new company, that Pete is nice, I love da color of it. U have 2 look out 4 u and don't worry bout what people say, a pair of lips will say anything, no wat I'm saying, so do ur thang sis and blessing to ya
With the TriPak APU you just press & hold the first button for like 2-3 seconds & it'll fire right up. You can turn the nob left for the AC, middle for the fan & right for the heat. When you turn the heat on you may have to give it a few minutes before it starts to blow warm air. The good thing with the TriPak's is that they can be used to charge your batteries as well. Like if you decide to do a 34 in a hotel or somewhere away from the truck, you can put your TriPak in standby mode & it'll fire up if your batteries start to get low and will charge them back up. Lots of benefits to having TriPak apu
Congratulations on your new job,I'm so happy for you and thank you for taking us along for this new adventure in your life. The new truck is beautiful, I'm a huge fan of Pete's, what engine do you have in that big Pete.

I have a 2019 Peterbilt 579, and the interiors are basically the same. I removed both the passenger side bottom and middle cabinets, leaving room for my huge 4.5 Cubic Feet Frigidaire mini fridge (less than $300) on the floor. With the passenger seat all the forward, I have a three drawer storage bin for a dresser between the back of the seat and the side of the mini fridge. Hanging clothes are freely open above the fridge since the bar is still mounted underneath the top cabinet that’s still there. Basically an open concept. I would love to send you a pic for a visual, but just not able. Anyway, just thought I’d give ya some food for thought. Good luck with your new chapter in life.

I’ve been a subscriber for about 6 weeks now. And I’ve learned a lot from you. I just got my CDL, and I start with swift tomorrow. Keep it up, I love your content
I'm glad you jumped into prime. Best company out there when it comes to picking a company and leasing trucks from them. Plus they are fair as well and will help you through. Very well researched. Best of blessed luck to you on your new journey.
Love that burgundy truck, looks like a winner to me. I'm sure it will get and keep you going. And since it's a walk a way lease, Sister I'd would hit the road! All the best to you however you decide!
You will find out in trucking that everyone has something too say about where and want ya do is right or wrong. Just do whats best for you. Keep up the great content and Happy Travels
Leasing from a company that has there own drivers is usually a bad deal, I hope you looked into this fully. Prime make more % on loads done by their drivers, when you get a prime load they make less cut - that always means the highest profit loads don't end up being given to you. Companies like mercer are 100% owner operator, everyone is on the same cut. You can get your truck leases arranged straight from dealers. Your putting people in the middle of your money who don't need to be there and take from your potential
Facts, but its good to lease once then get your own truck after. Newer drivers need to learn the ins and outs first like dont fuel up all the way and pick good loads.
@@ukayhemi6385yea but when you post things for the public to see you're gonna get public opinion also Anyways time for my opinion as well... these lease scams never work but there wont ever be a shortage of drivers who think they can make all this money by just switching their titles from company driver to lease driver. Literally nothing changes except their job title so I have no idea why they think it would be that easy but it's not so that's why it fails and the companies know this so why not play along. CR England perfected this scam and made lots of money by getting free labor. But you can't tell hr this, she has to learn on her own
@@traveltrucker561depends on if she working to buy a truck. With a walk away lease they charging higher interest since they talking all the risk. She would be pretty much paying off the truck for them making them money if she don’t stay compared to just simply being a company driver and having benefits and not worrying about 1099 and taxes at the end of the year. Everything has their pros and cons. Nobody being negative i think people just trying to give advice. With her experience there’s no reason why she can’t find a good company job. But we don’t her situation but the fact she can keep getting jobs let us know she has nothing on her record. The advice is it’s a terrible time to lease right now
Congrats on the new journey! Nice to see someone working hard to a dream/ goal 💪 especially same goal I have to own a custom long nose Pete! Keep up the content and hard work! If ever coming through Indiana lmk and I’m out going the same way we can roll together
congrats on the new truck and new job. Prime aint bad. aint for everyone but alot of people seem happy there and if they are thats all that matters. I looked into prime and just didnt go with them cus I like weekly home time and prefer not to run OTR. As far as swift doing that.. idk how much it matters. Werner never told me about a incident that happened where I apparently hit a low hanging street light. It was caught on camera, my truck missed it but the top of the trailer scraped the bottom of it. I was never told about it until I left. When id talk to other carriers and told them no one ever was that concerned since I wasnt told. Alot of times carriers do that just to scare you and try and keep you. An abandoned truck or major accident is the worst thing you can have. And Peterbilts are sweet. My favs are Kenworths, but after being in all but WesternStars and Volvos.. I pick cascadias now. Simply for the breakdown turn arounds. Kenworths and Peterbilts it always costs more, and parts are in shorter supply. Im not sure how primes lease works and if you have to pay the repairs or if youre just paying for the truck payment or what. Either way its your home for time away and should be enjoyable and whats the most comfortable. no matter what good luck and stay safe!
Hey girl, I just want to say congrats. It's a big difference when you are driving your own truck. As long as you keep working hard you'll pay that off in no time and then you can move on to using your own permits. I've never done a lease on to a company like that, but it is what it is. Just don't forget to pay your truck as well. Good luck and don't loose focus it might be a little tough because of the economy, but we will all keep pushing forward. Love the truck I got a 2017 Peterbilt 579 that I run with Amazon.
Awesome truck, can't wait to see the first run in it!! great video, I'm all excited with you on this!! and your girl is a steelers fan so she all good too!!! but getting a little palm withdraws girl, where's the boy at!! love you energy and your content!!! keep up the great work!!
Im not trying to be a negative Nancy or nothing I promise, but you know essentially your buying PRIME a truck, right? You make all the payments, they keep the truck. But congrats on accomplishing EVERYTHING you have set out to do Shania! I respect you so much, you definitely go after anything you want.
At the end of the lease it just goes back to pedigree if she completes the lease for 3 yrs. We’re out here to make money not worry about what a company is doing with the truck when we’re done with it
You should low key think about filing a lawsuit against them because what their saying is false and that causes you to lose out on possible better positions, companies won’t hire you because if that’s. It might be defamation
Prime Inc. good move. Pretty good company, I went lease flatbed. Prime is a company with many opportunities. If you get a good fleet manager, endless miles with a beautiful paycheck to go with it. Bunk Swift!!
Congratulations on the new move to Prime just try to hang in there for low freight rates definitely make sure you put money in maintenance fund for your service pm and definitely for tires if you get a flat the super singles are very expensive very happy for you still loving your channel again happy for you
Set up an e-fund before you leave the yard. Walk away lease sounds good but since they will still charge you for truck detail and bringing that truck back up to the same condition it was when you picked it up. Take before pictures of the truck inside and out for your records as well as notate it on that truck inspection form.
If swift put something on your DAC report, its governed by the fair credit and reporting act. Have a lawyer send them a letter and they will have to remove it or substantiate it
Or send them a letter yourself first informing them that if they don't remove that issue, I will get my lawyer to file a lawsuit for FRAUD if it goes that far. If it goes that far, then you will ask for DISCOVERY in which they will have to provide you ALL EVIDENCE/PROOF of the allegation which would also include any correspondence to you regarding the unsecured load at the TIME of OCCURANCE. Since you were NEVER notified of that issue, obviously it never occurred. They would have to provide PROOF that that incident OCCURED.
@@Jumalten001 That's why this country is in the mess that it's in. People don't want to do things themselves. They want others to do the work. You LEARN how to handler your own affairs. If you read my comment and comprehended it, you will have noticed I said send them a letter which also informed them that you get a lawyer to file a lawsuit. You don't have to start with a lawyer and pay him when you can write your own damn letter FIRST.
The best way to manage diesel is to stay below your fuel surcharge that’s allotted to you for that load. Always shop around & use other options for discounts as well. MudFlap is great & I always got amazing discounts at smaller truck stops outside of the big chain networks. Having an APU is going to help you a lot as well. Keep a maintenance account aside from what they offer you, also learn to do basic things yourself if your comfortable with it. Saved me a lot when I had my Volvo. Hope those little tips help! Best of luck ❤
Im glad you made the move over to o/o hopefully you read all the fine lines knowing its a lease but i hope you know the truck still own by prime if you walkway jus make sure they give you the loads if you would have when through a dealer on a lease you have more control if you walkway from the company the truck come with you i do have 1000% respect for what you doing
Prime is a pretty good company! When I first saw you went to KLLM I was thinking a company like prime would have been a much better choice! You should be able to clock $2,500 checks there.
Been otr since 1995 prime was dollar truck company before they went under and then reopened as prime don’t be fooled same manipulative company good luck 🍀 you will leave within 6 months I’d bet on it
Congratulations, prime seems cool, I like what I see so far. I get badged on Monday and I'm going company flatbed till I get some experience. I'm thinking of lease later down the road lords willing. Anxious to hear how your lease goes. Good luck
One thing to remember with that lease is that you can go home and take time off but all those deductions keep coming out and when you come back you start out in the hole so be careful with your decisions
@@flatbedjay7672home time don’t have to be an actual home. Its your down time. She might want to take a break for a few days but like the person said that money still going to come out every week and you don’t have much money that week cause you took off. That’s how people in up in the hole
Congratulations and welcome to Prime. As far as the brown paper in the pull out desk it’s just a protective layer to be peeled off to keep from scratching the plexiglass. It’s smoke tinted and scratches easily and it’s very noticeable. You have to polish it to get the scratches out.
I'm sure you figured it out by now, but to turn on the APU, you just hold down the power button for a few seconds until the red "STBY" light turns on. Make sure that thing is always on when you're not running the engine, even if you're not using the AC. You don't use the APU for heat, but its main function is to protect your batteries. Use the bunk heater in the winter, but keep your APU on standby mode.
I’m curious to see how this lease deal works out. Might be good for a person like you that loves to live in the truck. Freight rates are low so the timing is not great.
Falling into the trap that so many new drivers fall in to. There are problems with all companies, all that really changes is the name on the truck. Shippers and load brokers look at the drivers record when giving out quality loads when someone tries to obtain their own authority. Yes, Prime has a very nice HQ but you won't see it often. Good Luck
Don’t do it. It’s so hard to pay that payment every week. The way the market is, it’s a horrible idea. I struggle with a paid off truck. I wish you luck.
no offense Nia but this is probably the worst decision you could of made, theres a reason why every driver calls lease programs a scam, you already have a year experience yet you choose a rookie company, wish you luck but give it a couple months and you will be somewhere else, your record is gonna show your a job hopper sadly
Your truck is so pretty! Congratulations how nice it’s brand new as well. Definitely think your right on having your name on the truck. Need to be safe. 🤗
Congratulations on your next journey! Also, I started out with swift getting my CDL and they lied and out a fatality accident on my DAC report! There is no police reports or evidence of a at fault fatality other wise I’d be in prison! So I had to surrender my CDL and wait from 2019 until now. So I have a clean DAC! Prime is a great company glad your doing it Gods way 💙
Love the Peterbilt. Just Beautiful.. I'm a contractor and I fell in love with them in the supply yards when I was a kid I always thought they looked massive compared to everything else..lmk if you are ever near exit 4 on the Jersey tp, cherry Hill.. great places to eat around here
Congratulations ma’am and welcome to prime Inc..I left KLLM too for the same reason you did so u wasn’t lying lol…but prime will treat you good…everyone been super nice to me since I started..remember keep the rubber side down and hold it between the mayo and mustard…🚛🚛
Tear it up, girl. I think you have the right attitude. Make that money while you’re young & get established, and learn, learn, learn! I would love to do what you’re doing, but I lost a good portion of my left vision following several surgeries for a detached retina. I still have my MEC, but don’t know what’s coming, so I fell back to property maintenance, which I hate. It’s gotta be the most disrespected job in the world I swear. Go live girl, & don’t look back. You don’t know what’s around the next curve -
If you lease / walk away isn’t it like prime getting a free paid truck bc they put the lease on the next person??? If so that’s smart as hell for them. I think that color matches your look/ personality a lot. Good luck on the new journey. I’m taking my road test next Friday ! Lol
Great Decision. Welcome to the family. I’m looking forward to meeting you one of these days. There’s going to be a lot of haters, ignore them. Stay Safe
Im an old timer here so take it from were it comes, it could of gotten better or well i dont think it could gwt worse. But in my excperiance seems like most never finish the lease. Hell, back in 84, I believe, was when i first looked into a lease purchase, and after doing a little research, the company i was dealing with had less than 5% success rate. I checked into others over a 35 year period and found them all to help make the company money some way or another, and most leases finshed early and in somecases winding up as a negative on your DAC report and i dont personally know anyone who finshed well with a lease purchase. But it's been a few years since i have been shifting gears, so maybe its better, i hope it is anyway. You seem like a sweetie, so I wish you the best, however you go.

Newer drivers need to learn the ins and outs first like dont fuel up all the way and pick good loads.
it’s a walk away lease bro no harm no foul. let her try. everybody situation is different
@@traveltrucker561Facts, folks really be acting like her choice effecting their lives 😂
@@ukayhemi6385yea but when you post things for the public to see you're gonna get public opinion also
Anyways time for my opinion as well... these lease scams never work but there wont ever be a shortage of drivers who think they can make all this money by just switching their titles from company driver to lease driver.
So excited for you 🤩 ! It's a step in the right direction keep going you're doing fine you've got a good head on your shoulders
She won't be paying off the truck because it's a WALK AWAY LEASE not a LEASE TO PURCHASE.
Awesome truck, can't wait to see the first run in it!! great video, I'm all excited with you on this!! and your girl is a steelers fan so she all good too!!! but getting a little palm withdraws girl, where's the boy at!! love you energy and your content!!! keep up the great work!!
You know what you need to do , and we support you no matter what ❤
Im not trying to be a negative Nancy or nothing I promise, but you know essentially your buying PRIME a truck, right? You make all the payments, they keep the truck. But congrats on accomplishing EVERYTHING you have set out to do Shania! I respect you so much, you definitely go after anything you want.
At the end of the lease it just goes back to pedigree if she completes the lease for 3 yrs. We’re out here to make money not worry about what a company is doing with the truck when we’re done with it
It's the same thing as a house or apartment that people lease or rent for years.. The only difference is that trucks are income producing liabilities.
Usually at the end of a lease u can buy the truck for like a dollar.
You should low key think about filing a lawsuit against them because what their saying is false and that causes you to lose out on possible better positions, companies won’t hire you because if that’s. It might be defamation
@carlosdelagarza1934 They offer a end of lease purchase. You can either buy the truck you already have or get one custom ordered
Prime Inc. good move. Pretty good company, I went lease flatbed. Prime is a company with many opportunities. If you get a good fleet manager, endless miles with a beautiful paycheck to go with it. Bunk Swift!!
Congratulations on the new move to Prime just try to hang in there for low freight rates definitely make sure you put money in maintenance fund for your service pm and definitely for tires if you get a flat the super singles are very expensive very happy for you still loving your channel again happy for you
True, super singles are about 1300 a piece, before mount and balance. Half the time you destroy the rim also when they blow.
@@blkcobra03 It's easier to just have a lawyer send off the letter. No reason for you to do it yourself
Congratulations! Beautiful truck love the color!
Prime is a lousy company they brainwash the rookies they hire and have 1 or 2 year know it alls train them haha 😆 what a damn joke honestly
Been otr since 1995 prime was dollar truck company before they went under and then reopened as prime don’t be fooled same manipulative company good luck 🍀 you will leave within 6 months I’d bet on it
Then get going and make money quit the video and go to work
@@donaldromano7390 hopefully she's careful about what she puts on TH-cam because I'd hate to see her get terminated over TH-cam.

Let's go Nia!!! We knew you went to Prime, greatest luck to your venture and we are here for you to support and push you to success
Congratulations, prime seems cool, I like what I see so far. I get badged on Monday and I'm going company flatbed till I get some experience. I'm thinking of lease later down the road lords willing. Anxious to hear how your lease goes. Good luck
Not a good time to do flatbed, the winter is coming, ( construction freight) goes down, best time April to September.
Congratulations. Like the change it fits. I think you will appreciate it more. I love it ❤
One thing to remember with that lease is that you can go home and take time off but all those deductions keep coming out and when you come back you start out in the hole so be careful with your decisions
That truck is her home. She doesn't have a home. So it's going to work in her favor
@@flatbedjay7672 I hope it works out for her
That’s why you should have money saved before you do this but majority of people don’t. That’s how they end up failing
@@flatbedjay7672home time don’t have to be an actual home. Its your down time. She might want to take a break for a few days but like the person said that money still going to come out every week and you don’t have much money that week cause you took off. That’s how people in up in the hole
Not always true bud
Congratulations and welcome to Prime. As far as the brown paper in the pull out desk it’s just a protective layer to be peeled off to keep from scratching the plexiglass. It’s smoke tinted and scratches easily and it’s very noticeable. You have to polish it to get the scratches out.
Nice truck gorgeous ML&R stay safe on that open road✌🏾🤙🏽
So Happy 😊 you are back on the road. Miss Nia ❤😎👍🚚🚛🙏💯😇☝️👏
@@Thatguy_29 what's your ig? need some info before I make a move...

What so curious about it🤔

Congratulations on the new truck I bought mine brand new back in 18. Stay with it thru up an down
Bro her nails tho. Maybe it's beautiful but I think they make their life a little difficult🙂💔
Good Luck
Congratulations wishing you all the best and by the way I love the truck 🎉🎉 God Bless and be safe
Good luck hun!! I leased with Prime a while ago, They were really good to me, I would probably still be with them If I Could still do OTR
Don’t do it. It’s so hard to pay that payment every week. The way the market is, it’s a horrible idea. I struggle with a paid off truck. I wish you luck.
I would listen to this guy right here.
no offense Nia but this is probably the worst decision you could of made, theres a reason why every driver calls lease programs a scam, you already have a year experience yet you choose a rookie company, wish you luck but give it a couple months and you will be somewhere else, your record is gonna show your a job hopper sadly
My dad is a trucker and he explained to me how lease programs are a scam 😬 good luck to her though
Your truck is so pretty! Congratulations how nice it’s brand new as well.
Definitely think your right on having your name on the truck. Need to be safe. 🤗
Congratulations, the right choice, and going lease purchase. Bo$$Lady run your business! Nice Pete 🔥 Stay safe out there 🙏 🚛 💨
She said she's doing the WALK-AWAY LEASE.
Lease is a scam honestly
Big mistake hit the door running best advice any real person would give you
That is one beautiful truck 😍 also great video keep up the amazing work 👍 and hope you have a blessed and wonderful weekend ☺️🙏❤️
Congrats and good luck, much respect to you 🎉 I enjoy your videos keep it up girl 🙌

Congratulations on what you doing. You young in the industry and your making moves. Keep doing you. I subscribed when I saw one video of yours.
Prime is a great company glad your doing it Gods way 💙
All you had to do was get a lawyer on it. If they really did you this way. Something don't sound right
How do you check your DAC report I’m a rookie in school getting their cdl
Love the Peterbilt. Just Beautiful.. I'm a contractor and I fell in love with them in the supply yards when I was a kid I always thought they looked massive compared to everything else..lmk if you are ever near exit 4 on the Jersey tp, cherry Hill.. great places to eat around here
Awesome, you'll do great. Mental toughness and stick it out. You're well on your way to make a damn good living. Congratulations
Hi Nia. Just calm down and try and relax you'll be fine. Good luck !
That is one great step ahead, just keep the wheels turning, u got this 💯
Congratulations ma’am and welcome to prime Inc..I left KLLM too for the same reason you did so u wasn’t lying lol…but prime will treat you good…everyone been super nice to me since I started..remember keep the rubber side down and hold it between the mayo and mustard…🚛🚛

That’s dope congratulations I just bought my own truck as well welcome to the club, wish God’s blessings and success🤙🏽
Is so nice to see women driving big trucks. I been with FedEx for 6 years OTR. Good luck and God bless you my Dear!
Congratulations on the move up and continued growth 👍🏾
Tear it up, girl. I think you have the right attitude. Make that money while you’re young & get established, and learn, learn, learn! I would love to do what you’re doing, but I lost a good portion of my left vision following several surgeries for a detached retina. I still have my MEC, but don’t know what’s coming, so I fell back to property maintenance, which I hate. It’s gotta be the most disrespected job in the world I swear. Go live girl, & don’t look back. You don’t know what’s around the next curve -
I happy for you! Good for you!! You have to do what’s best for you!
If you lease / walk away isn’t it like prime getting a free paid truck bc they put the lease on the next person??? If so that’s smart as hell for them.
I think that color matches your look/ personality a lot. Good luck on the new journey. I’m taking my road test next Friday ! Lol
Congratulations. I hope everything works out for you. Never give up.
Nia,just so u understand that when the end of the lease prime will starve you out so u will loose your truck.get ready for a 65mph truck.congrats.

You think a company is your "FAMILY" ? 😆 🤣 😂
@@vinr6867 A family can mean TEAM. Try thinking outside the BOX
Hey Nia I have a 2023 Peterbilt 579 but that nightstand with the drawer you mentioned that is a plexiglass with a protective paper/film on it that you can peel off
Well done I admire your motivation. I hope you’ll pull tankers.
You do you!!! Good luck and you can always work out another deal.
